Let me start by saying that I have ordered here hundreds of times and yet while the food is good that short guy behind the counter is a rude obnoxious Little man. I try not to let him bother me really have any contact with him when I order so if I had to recommend something I recommended beef lomein and dumplings

The food is classic greasy Americanized Chinese food and it tastes decent enough. What really bothers me is they consistently get my orders wrong. For example they will give me smalls when I ordered larges(leaving me with insufficient food to feed my guests) or make my meal spicy when I only wanted my friends meal to be spicy(a problem for me because I have acid reflux and can’t have spicy food). My orders are also consistently late for both delivery and pickup. For example, I just moved into a new place with my wife and wanted to make a good impression on my in-laws who were coming over for dinner. I ordered my food at 2pm and asked to pick it up at 6:30pm, figuring that would give Chopstix enough time to make the order. When I came in at 6:30 to pick up my food the store had 6 people waiting for their late orders were late and the cashier informed me my order was #7. We ended up waiting half an hour before I could pick up my order. If this was a one time thing I would be annoyed but not go out of my way to give a negative Unilocal review. The problem is they consistently mismanage their time and pump out late orders. Very frustrating. I keep going back because they are the only kosher Chinese food place around but if you don’t keep kosher I would not bother coming here.

Great Chinese takeout and friendly, quick service. Love their soups(especially the egg drop with corn and chicken). Their new menu items include chicken with black bean sauce which is the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Great Kosher Chinese. They can use a heavy hand at times with pepper, but other than that, they’re great. Try the Wonton Soup, Veggie Egg Rolls and Sesame Chicken.

The food is mediocre and the prices are high. They took over 2 hours to deliver. Friendly staff but that’s not enough to get me to spend so much on room temperature food an hour later than promised.

Ordered sesame chicken and beef chow mein. I’ve had Chinese many times across the country however, mostly in NJ. I must say this was the poorest quality/bland I’ve had. The 5 – 7 broccoli pieces were like wilted/dead. First and last time I eat from this place. The food didn’t taste bad however, it was like bland/mush nothing even with tons of their sauces on the food. Maybe sell the business to Chinese people to revive the quality.

Food was ready fast, but it was about 9pm. Lomein and fried rice was excellent but the steamed dumplings were very doughy and tasteless. Was pricey. Takeout for 3 ppl was over 60 bucks. However, I’m going back tonight… I’m hungry.

If you really keep kosher, steer clear of this place!!! 3 times now I could swear I found pork in my food. Go to kosher experience, cheaper, better food, service and just nicer. Just read the review about all the hairs in the food. Seems consistent with my find. Hair is gross enuf, but pork in a kosher place??? 3 strikes and you’re out Chop Stix. And rude too, when I called to complain about it, spoke with Uri, he said he is not worried because they are the only Kosher Chinese in town to speak of. Can you believe the arrogance?

I love the food here, by far the best kosher Chinese food in NJ! My personal favorites are the Korean chicken with hot pepper sauce LOVEIT, lomein, General tsoes chicken, sautéed string beans, ribs, and there egg rolls! Chef peter is the man, the food is always ready on time, the delivery guys are nice, and I am a big fan of the Owner /Retired Teaneck Mayor Katz– he loves Teaneck and tries very hard to make it better which is not easy though there is plenty to still accomplish!

Expensive. This Kosher Chinese food has been a staple of Teaneck for as long as I can remember. When it opened it was big news for Kosher conscious eaters in the area. Their lunch special is the only reasonably priced thing on the menu. Everything else costs insane amounts of money. Sometimes double what it costs at a non-kosher restaurant. But, hey, you want the RCBC and O-U, you gotta pay for it. The food quality is good. Upset stomachs are rare. Favorites: Honey Teryaki Chicken General Tsao chicken Kung pao Oriental Hot dogs(think eggrolled hotdogs)

I was very happy this time. When you have to eat kosher you learn to expect less, but I think the food is consistently good. The service could be better, but they work like robots and they do too much too fast. But they really try.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Called at 6 pm for delivery, got the food at 7:15. Told them I had a coupon for 2 free egg rolls when I called. Food was so cold it had turned gelatinous… you know what I am talking about with Chinese food… gross. Called to complain and they offered 10% off. Joke. Then after reheating plate after plate of food, I happened to glance at the check and they charged for the egg rolls! I called back to complain and they told me I should have given the driver the coupon and they would have credited my account. I paid cash, so how would that have worked??? We are new to the area, so this will be the first and last. Will make sure to tell everyone I know not to order from here.

I would have to disagree on the food. Although it is allright, it’s nothing special. I actually prefer regular Chinese food places because I found Chopstix to be very bland. My main complaint is the rice. I’m used to fried rice having a variety of vegetables like peas, carrots, and onions. Chinese fried rice is also usually made with tumeric which gives it a distinct flavor and color. The rice from Chopstix is I believe to be white rice mixed with a small amount of soy sauce. There are no other ingredients included, which I found very dissapointing. I wish I could give it a higher rating because my firends at work eat only Kosher, but I’ve had much tastier Chinese food around town.

The food at Chopstix is probably some of the best around Teaneck. If you go at dinner time the prices are pretty expensive. Not everything is available in a small so if you want something like General Tso Chicken, you are looking at $ 15 bucks. The lunch special however is probably the best deal I have seen around. For 7 bucks, you get your main dish, rice, and soup. You can even request it in Shabbos containers, which is perfect for a Friday night. Just pick it up in the after noon and reheat it. For that price how could you go wrong? The biggest complaint is how slow the service really is. Once I ordered, waited 20 minutes, and then went in, they hadn’t even started cooking my food. Since it takes so long, normally I call when I am leaving work, in Newark, and pick it up 40 minutes later, since it is usually done by the time I get there(once it actually wasn’t!!!)
