Hitching Post Antiques Mall

An incredible mix of antiques. The blend seemed mostly Victorian and Country. I saw almost no mid-​century modern, Art Deco, Asian or anything like that. In the past, I have seen some truly wonderful Victorian furniture and other Victorian pieces in this mall. Country and Victorian dishware was very well represented. There is so very much to see. It gets overwhelming, but what stuff! There is a section that sells antique lamp/​lantern parts. I have found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. There is a separate barn that had a mix of all sorts of furniture and such. There was a restroom that I was allowed to use. There was a section that sold books, including modern reference books on collectibles. Definitely worth a visit.

So many cool items to look at. You can make reasonable offers. I bought a few old coins. If you have time to kill you could easily browse for a long time. The older man was friendly and helpful. The younger woman seemed indifferent. The layout is a little confusing and cluttered but that is ok in a place like this. They are celebrating being open for 30 years. I will be back.

My husband and I just discovered this wonderful antiques mall! We drove 2 ½ hours to go antique-​ing in the area, and plan to go come back. The antiques here are quality pieces and the store is clean and pleasant to be in. It’s a nice size mall, too — big enough and with enough beautiful merchandise that it’s worth the trip, but not so huge that it’s overwhelming. We really enjoyed our time here and bought several things. LOVED IT!

I had a few antiques to sell and brought them in. The guy that helped me was fair and honest with me. He told me what they were worth, and bought a couple things. The mall was a lot bigger than I thought. They had a room with a ton of lamp parts, and some of the most beautiful antiques I have ever seen.
I will be back for sure not only to sell what I have, but to buy too!
