Great place to eat… Prices are reasonable, food and service are very good. Owner/operators are the«real deal»…genuine, vary caring and considerate… Will come here again next time we’re in town.

Food is excellent with huge portions, simply delicious. Service is good but there’s a language barrier.

If you want a super refreshing phở this is it. By far the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. We came here last year and have looked forward to returning ever since. Staff are friendly and attentive but also let you enjoy your food which is nice. The price is just crazy reasonable. We had chicken phở with white and dark meat, #18 I believe. My fiancée ordered the small myself the large. Both had tons of meat.

I had Blue Ginger special phở(#1) large. It was good. It contained a lot of meat including tendon. Large was actually large, so it was good for a big eater. My friend said that the phở soup was a bit sweet compared to other places, but for me it was good.

Delicious. Rainy day and it was perfect to eat phở and even better that the ingredients were fresh – sweet staff. Definitely go.

passing through on a road trip, I ordered the chicken phở and it was some of the best I’ve had. also got the fresh spring rolls and they were great, with good tofu as well. I’m not sure why harmony gave it one star…

Wonderful people, fresh, fresh fresh ingredients, excellent prices, and some of the best phở I have eaten, from SF to Garden Grove! I did takeout, so I didn’t get the restaurant experience, but it was cute and very welcoming inside. The Thai iced tea was delicious, not overly sweet, and the fried rice had lots of chicken and tons of vegetables. The serving size was enormous! They took my order over the phone quickly and very politely, and got it exactly right! I would eat there every day if I lived in town, and I’m sorry I didn’t try it the first night! They don’t have to-go menus, but they do offer you a menu and suggest that you take photos of it, which I thought was cute. I may post mine as they are a little clearer than the ones on the site right now(no offense! I’m glad someone posted them)! There’re a lot of great restaurants in Tehachapi… I love Kelly’s and Las Palmas in particular, but don’t miss Blue Ginger! It’s a delicious experience and well worth your time!

We drove from Rosamond and we’d do it every weekend if we had the time. The white chicken Phở was AMAZING. Loads of noodles, chicken and herbs. We have zero complaints. We also had the«egg rolls» and those were just as delicious as the phở. The place was clean and the staff were friendly. We will be back for sure!!!

How can this place have five stars? Came here based on the great reviews and ordered a large brisket phở and a brisket clay pot. The quality of the brisket was horrible, very fatty and no flavor. The noodles were rather hard when served and took a long time to soften. There was hardly any meat in the large phở, mostly a giant bowl of noodles. I’ve had great phở on both the West and East coast. This is exactly the kind of phở I would expect to find in the middle of nowhere. Only took a few bites and didn’t bother to finish. The clay pot was ok, a lot of veggies, really hot. The quality of the brisket was still very poor in flavor and quality. The atmosphere was stuffy and still with the sound of an aquarium running in the background. Will definitely not be coming back.

Had high hopes for this place due to the great reviews. We ordered the fresh spring rolls, seafood chow mein, grilled pork chop with rice and two bobas. The ingredients did not seem fresh. The shrimp was dehydrated in the spring rolls. The chow mein was overwhelmed with salty gravy and they used fish cakes, fake crab, tough calamari, and the dehydrated shrimp. The noodles were in clumps stuck together. The pork chop was dry and bland. The coconut boba drink was okay. The mango boba drink was too sweet and the boba was in clumps and under cooked(dry). And in this drought situation, they gave us two very large glasses of water that we could not finish. The only positive was that the service was fast. The place was not too clean, sticky table and we even saw an ant crawling across our table. Needless to say, we will not be back.

There are only 2 requirements for Blue Ginger Phở: a good appetite and stretchy pants. Because yes, you’ll need the stretchy pants. My husband and I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is entirely authentic, the service is outstanding, and the pricing is more than fair. Definitely worth a trip to Tehachapi!!! :)

I was never really a fan of Asian style food ever before eating here, and I have to say that they make the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. The place is very simple, but elegant as well for a tiny little restaurant. The food is a bit pricey, but for two people and with simple dishes it’s not so bad at all. My boyfriend will usually grab one of their soups which are huge and very cheap for as much as they give you and a plate of spring rolls, and I will typically grab a soup as well or a plate of fried rice which is my favorite. The spring rolls are the first to actually taste decent to me and maybe it’s because my New York origin doesn’t serve good Asian dishes at all haha. Recommended for a night out or quick and delicious meal!

I was excited to try this place while driving through Tehachapi. I was drawn in by the promise of delicious Vietnamese food and low prices. Prices were around $ 8 per plate. Based on the reviews, I was expecting to thoroughly enjoy my food, but that was not the case. I had the chicken curry, which was okay, but a little unusual. The chicken was cut so thin that I was suspicious it was actually lunch meat. My husband had the beef chow mein. He said the vegetables tasted strange and only ended up eating the noodles. The service was great — both of the men who served us were quick and helpful. But if we’re ever in the area again we’ll probably go somewhere else.

I don’t usually travel to Tehachapi often but I was up there visiting friends and decided to visit Blue Ginger Phở for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that a little place hidden in a strip mall could produce such an amazing meal. Every person working the dining room greeted you with a warm greeting. The Vietnamese spring rolls were delicious and the peanut dipping sauce as just as great. The phở was full of flavor… glad the broth wasn’t weak — like most places can be. If you’re ever in Tehachapi, you should give this place a try.

Based on Unilocal reviews I thought this place was going to be a gem, I was wrong Pros: customer service is great. Mom & pop shop. Busy during lunch; however when I ordered to go, I received my food fast. Large portions. Boba tea was good Cons: springs are my fav and all these had were noodles, lettuce and 2 shrimp. Bland, peanut sauce bland too. Beef chow mein was covered in a thick over power sauce. It was okay. 2 stars to offset the great reviews on effort to not have everyone excited about the food. It was okay, probably never coming back. Spring rolls, beef chow mein, boba tea $ 16. They should have lunch specials

I’m from Cali so I might be a little harsh but the #2 beef bowl was okay. I’m sure this place would be awesome for a local that had never had phở before. It just didn’t have a lot of flavor in the broth. The customer service was good and they need to fill their soap dispenser up in the customer restroom. I’m willing to try this place again but not very soon.

All the accolades are deserved. Tonight we had chicken phở, two clay pots, 2 appetizers, & a shrimp dish ordered by my bil. All top notch. Bill was maybe $ 44. I have had Vietnamese food from coast to coast and Blue Ginger is right up there in quality. Plus the owners were so helpful and friendly. The only thing keeping them from a five star rating is the lack of ambiance. For my book, good food trumps ambiance. They are sandwiched in between a failed bookstore and Radio Shack and a Dominoes. Not a good spot but I would hope people will overlook that and go for the excellent food. When back in Tehachapi I am gonna return and try some other dishes they offer. Well done!
