Great place. I have never been to a Thai restaurant before so I was hesitant to go but I’m glad I did. Service was great and they have a large selection on their menu. I went with my parents and we all ordered one main dish and shared it. Perfect portions of food, the orange chicken was delicious! You get what you pay for but everything is reasonably priced. I’d go again for sure! Never thought Tehachapi would have great Thai food but I stand corrected.

Tried this place out due to decent Unilocal reviews. All I can say were these people high? Complete waste of $ 30. Ordered the calmari for an appetizer. What we got was deep fried rubber. You couldn’t even take a bite! Was so hard and was like chewing on a pencil eraser. Then our food came. Cashew nut chicken. The chicken was just gross. No flavor, tasted old like it had been in a fridge for a month. Can’t explain but it made me gag. My bf got pat Thai. I never seen him so disappointed or disgusted while eating food. I don’t know how this restaurant or the people of Tehachapi think this is good food. Its terrible. And the customer service is even worse. Two thumbs down.

Love the food! We always get the Bangkok chicken and Hawaiian rice. They have lunch specials that can’t be beat. The service for dine in is good. The manager lady cracks me up. Very short and to the point. I don’t think this should be confused with rude(as others have pointed out), this is sometimes just a trait of culture. I REALLY like that they do take out!!! Don’t hesitate, this place is a gem!

We eat here regularly. We like just about everything in the menu, some things we haven’t gotten around to trying yet. Sometimes we just drop in for potstickers for a snack. Have never been disappointed no matter if we eat in or take out.

Food was great. Quick service and fresh ingredients. Tom yum gai was superb. Pad Thai was fresh and flavourful. The restaurant is a great size and would be great for a large group.

As I pack my u-haul to leave Tehachapi, this is my last meal here. This place will be one of the few things I miss about this town. Amazing food. Firm, yet friendly staff. I recommend this place highly! I have tried between 15 and 20 of this towns’ restaurants while living here, and this is not only the best Asian food, but also the best place in general. It is not a fancy place. One table is always dedicated to the lady’s cute thai magazines and books, and whatever kind of hobby or side business they do with them. And, the table occasionally has an off menu item that looks good, which they are eating for their lunch during off hours which is when I seem to interrupt them. So, not fancy(decorated with lots of buddhist offerings and homages to the royal family), but the taste cannot be beat. I didn’t stray too far on the menu, though I ate here very regularly. Of the few dozen items I have tried they have all been very excellent. I love their glass noodle dishes(like Pad Woonsen) the most and their Tom Kha is the best I’ve ever had anywhere, and I try to hit Thai or Mexican restaurants every chance I get. So, give them your patronage and keep them in business in the event I am ever back out this way or passing through.

Hidden gem out of no where in a desert area. After driving for 3 hours strangling and looking for food. We saw this Thai restaurant. We didn’t want to have taco and or McDonald or any other kind of fast food and we ended up here. They are real Thai people and their food is really good. I got the fried platter and that came with fried shrimp, spring roll and fried wonton paper. As well I got yellow chicken curry and honey ribs. Very yummy. I highly recommend this place Service really friendly.

We were traveling with allergies and our specific allergies are conducive to eating Asian food and having few problems. So we stopped here on our way back to Bakersfield and had an okay experience. I liked the food that I ate, but felt that their version of mild was a little too spicy for me. I thought that the portions were generous and the food tasted good. The service could have been a little bit better, but I realize that with two young kids traveling with us, it can be hard to know when to approach a table or leave the guests alone. Anyway, decent food and okay service equals about three stars in my book.

Delicious! Good size portions, everyone in our group was happy with their choice. Crab rangoons, orange chicken, chicken pad thai, and Peppered beef, all great! Prices very reasonable for how much food you get. Definitely coming back.

Been to this place many times and they are always good. I really like the basil chicken fried rice and the satay. They will make it as hot as you want and have the pepper caddy to help. Have not had bad service or food here. They will even tell you the story and history behind some of the decorations.

King of Siam is a hidden gem in Tehachapi! Out here for work, and did the obligatory Unilocal search, and was terribly mislead with another highly ranked restaurant in town, and had lost all hope for decent food in Tehachapi. Luckily, ventured out of the box and found King of Siam. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is polite and welcoming. I ordered the beef lad nah, and it was on par with restaurants in Thai Town in LA. The service was prompt, and the food was GREAT! Healthy portions, and the price was really the icing on the cake. For a little over $ 10, you cannot beat the quality and value here. Bravo, King of Siam, I will sure to be back!

We were traveling through and had dinner here before returning to our hotel. The décor is very nice, service was good, and the beer was cold. The green papaya salad: Got it without shrimp, mildly spicy, per our request. Really good! The added peanuts, tomato, and green beans were nice. It was very fresh. We each ordered a curry dish. I love curry and so looked forward to my bowl of green. My mother ordered yellow, and of course, we got rice. Both curries were delicious. Just the right amount of spice so my mouth wasn’t on fire all evening. However, there were two drawbacks: first, they used a frozen peas/carrots mix(Birdseye?). Second, on the last bite, I found a short, black, wavy hair on my plate that wasn’t mine, and when I pointed it out, the server tried to tell me it was a fiber from the eggplant. That’s it, nothing else. Well, the Singha was icy cold anyway. Good thing I don’t live here because they’d not get my return business. Too bad, because it was pretty good up till that point. No offer of any apology or comps. Bad… If I had to rate based on food taste and service, they’d get 3 stars(because of the use of frozen vegetables).

We were told to try this place and so happy we did! Nice atmosphere and delicious food! The drunken noodles with Chicken are amazing, they stand up to Noodle Bars same dish. We also tried the pot stickers-yum!!! We will defiantly be coming back, bringing friends, and ordering out! Service was friendly with a smile too. Second Visit– 1 star terrible! We were so excited to go back expecting the same experience as the first visit but very disappointed! I’ll start with the service was awful and our server very rude. Knowing we went for the food experience we chose to proceed and order. We ordered the same order as the first time, but when we got our food it was extremely spicy(we like spicy) but in a flavorful and ingestible way. This was so bad we could not eat it. Meanwhile we are out of drinks and needing a refill desperately as our server walks by us numerous of times without asking us if we would like refills. I end up going to the cashiers desk to ask for refill as my mouth, lips, and fm face are burning. The server continues on with rude service and we are stuck with food that is not edible . They still want us to pay for the dish and no offer to make it right. This place was a fluke I guess. Waste of cash and our time. Terrible customer service. Very disappointed.

I asked for medium spice in my green curry. It was SOO spicy my throat burned, eyes watered, and I couldn’t finish my bowl. The flavor was good, I think they just made a mistake. I will order mild next time just to be safe.

How is this getting such a low rating?! I’ve traveled so much over the past few years and love Thai food and I have to give credit where credit is due! THIS place has the best Thai tea, the absolute BEST Tom kha soup, super yummy peanut– chili sauce with soft spring rolls, extremely fresh ingredients in everything, pad Thai is a TREAT and the spicy eggplant bite I tried was top notch!!! Their menu is, like, 5 pages with pictures and detailed description so you know what you’re ordering. Fair warning: it has so far exceeded all former expectations!!!

I’m Thai and all my relatives, aunts and uncles are Thai. We are pretty critical about Thai food and so we came here with little to no expectation for a Thai place in Tehachapi. OMG, WEWEREBLOWNAWAY by the food here. Its like eating in Thai town in Hollywood. My favorite is Som Tum or papaya salad but all of our food(Pad thai, Pad see ew, Rad Nha, Yum Woon sen) are all good! Definitely coming back here.

I have dined in here & have picked up food to go. Both times, my food was delightful & I got exactly what I ordered. Their thai tea is amazing & you can get a giant one to go! What is not to love? Haha I also really like that this restaurant stays open later than a lot of other places in town. This is probably my fav Thai spot in Tehachapi. Yum!

I have had several bad experiences here… Over a year ago my boyfriend and I are here and had a black curly hair in our cucumber salad(both my boyfriend and I are light haired) when we told the waitress and she returned it to the kitchen we heard the kitchen staff laughing about it. Over a year later and under new owners i decided to give it one more shot. My brother and I went in and staff was slow. My brother and I both ordered a lunch special. Both our egg rolls, fried wontons, and fried rice were not even luke warm but cold. And my brothers chicken had a huge piece of bone in it not to mention the chicken didn’t look like chicken. Again when the waitress was confronted they did nothing to fix any of the issues or even any discount. 2 extremely bad expeierence and even under new ownership they will never change in food or service. Would never recommend this place to anyone

I ordered Egg roll to-go and when I came home, I realized I got Spring roll. I did not go back because I did not want to drive back to the restaurant. I was not happy about Spring roll so I throw it away. Today I placed the order for pick-up and told the old lady who took my order last time. «you guys gave me a wrong food last time.» She said«people make a mistake all the time. people do not know what they are ordering.» I told her«I went to Thai restaurant a lot and I know the difference between Egg roll and Spring roll. I ordered correctly because I know what I like to eat. You gave me a wrong food I did not want to have.» She said«So do you want fried one or not? what do you want?» Hello? Are you listening to me? You gotta be shitting me. I ordered Egg roll and you gave me Spring roll and you make this problem as my fault. It was such a pleasant moment to get blamed what I did not do. I paid and I got a wrong food and the person who took my order did not say any single words. The old lady need to learn what the costumer service is. We like their food so we always order there. Next time, I am not going to order because she likes to give shit to her customer. Is it that hard to say«sorry»?
