We always get the family deal. It is so good and plenty of food. Two topping pizza, Appetizer and salad. Great food and the staff is super friendly. My favorite place to get a pizza. I have to try one of their Pastrami sandwiches some time. I hear they are fantastic.

While on vacation in Stallion Springs we went to Papa’s didn’t have pizza, but had other meals both were very good and I had desert(snicker doodle apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream) It was unbelievably good.

Glad to see Papa’s has changed hands and is serving awesome food. It also sounds like it’s finally CLEAN. The food was always hit and miss, depending on who was cooking: John or his daughter. And the kitchen was NASTY, but what a transformation and great for Stallion Springs. They can support an eatery with tasty food. Good luck to the new owners!

Ate at Papa’s last night and it was perfect! The pizza was great… crust is now really good with plenty of toppings. The house salad was good too and big enough for the two of us to eat off of. The pitcher of Stella beer was stellar! Very cold. So glad to see the new owners are making great improvements!

This was our third visit and it’s been great each time! Fish tacos are yummy, pastrami sandwich with fresh cranberry slaw — Darn good! Clam chowder, excellent! Even the bread is home made! Gluten free options on pizza although we’ve not had that yet. They try to make as much as possible from scratch and have a nice selection of craft beer as well. This will be a regular spot for us for sure!

Had Papa’s this evening and must say the burger was maybe the BEST I’ve ever had. I’ve had the pizza in the past, which was very tasty also. Tonite we went for the burgers. My boyfriend had a Swiss cheese stuffed burger & I had the blue cheese crumble burger. He said his wash delish & devoured it. I was slower eating mine and fully enjoined every bite. A big burger with onion straws and deep fried jalapeños on there, along with lettuce, tomatoesxmusrd & Ketchup. It was And the fries! Oh my, most definitely the Best I’ve EVER had anywhere! Hand cut & fried to perfection. YUM! And it’s just around the corner! I’m going back so many times!

This place is great. Nice staff and always a great meal we can’t go wrong. You can call in your order and pick it up in 15 – 20 for a fair price. They have made a few changes since Papa owned it but definitely for the better.

Correction to my last review I am in love with their burgers. I can’t believe how great their onion rings are. And I love that they make so much food fresh and in house. Tehachapi let alone Stallion NEEDED this. My husband and kids keep asking for more. I can’t wait to try one of their creative specials.

Pepperoni pizza was above average. Last time I had pizza there was maybe a year or so ago. Better than I remember it being at that time. I would recommend Papa’s. Not haute cuisine, but better pizza than most chain restaurants for sure.

We were out for a drive and decided to give this place a try, its one of only a couple restaurants in the Stallion Springs area. I was satisfied and surprised with how great the food and service was. Its a small place with just a few tables and they have a couple flat screens with directv in different corners playing football games. They offer beer specials during games plus they have specials for food. The Sunday special was a family meal for $ 19.99 which included a pizza with 2 toppings, choice of appetizer and one kids meal with a choice of a burger, grilled cheese or kids cheese pizza. We ordered this meal and chose the garlic cheese bread which was delightful, the burger for the kids to share which was huge including nicely seasoned fries. My daughters can be picky and they loved and ate almost everything. Most of the food tasted freshly made, the pizza crust was rustic and home made looking and tasted great and the sauce tasted fresh, the garlic cheese bread used the same dough and the burger even seemed fresh. I forgot to copy the menu to upload but they offer several different kinds of pizzas, sandwiches and appetizers. The downside of this restaurant is that you must travel through the kitchen to get to the bathroom, the pros is that I was able to glance at the kitchen to see the cleanliness plus I saw the pantry area with ingredients to see at least some items are home made. The downside is that I would not want customers crossing through my kitchen plus you also walk right next to the deep fryer which worries me about safety being an ex Chef since if it comes to an idiot walking through or a small accident… Overall one of the best pizzas I have had especially in the Tehachapi area, we have decided we will make the 30min drive to get it again in the future.

Simply, the best pizza in Tehachapi!!! Worth the drive from town. I love the Pizza Formaggio! Most – if not all – home made products, like the sauce.

I think this is the best pizza in Tehachapi/Stallion Springs! It tastes homemade and fresh. I’m happy to support small town business’ when I can. Papa’s Pizza is a 5 star vote for this area.

Papa’s Pizza defines many things. It’s the only game(restaurant) in town. Literally(as far as I could tell). And it’s a true mom ‘n pop kinda place. Or at least a pop kind of place(it’s the name, duh!). Unless you live in Stallion Springs, which is about 12 miles outside of Tehachapi, the only reason you’ll probably come here is because you or someone in your family is going to Woodward West action sports camp. We went for BMX Am Fest. It is what it is, which is a small restaurant with the basics. Pizza? Check. Cheeseburgers? Check. We also got mozzarella sticks that were passable. The pizza is pizza, probably from a pre-fab crust. But it’s pizza, and by the time you get to this place you’re pretty grateful to have it. Not great, not horrible. Just… pizza. There are no kids’ meals on the menu, but my kid got a bacon cheeseburger, bacon on the side. I seem to remember(a couple weeks later) that the fries were good and he just confirmed that, saying: «Really REALLY good.» It’s small and quirky and you have to go through the kitchen to use the restroom. I didn’t but my son did and reported back: «I totally had to step over a box of donuts to get in the bathroom.» Also, it’s apparently a Raiders bar, judging from the décor. Oh, there’s a really good amber ale on tap that starts with an «L,» something I’d never heard of before but it’s good. Did I mention that it’s connected to a liquor store/mini-mart? Cuz it is. Bottom line: This would get only two stars if it were in Orange County. But it isn’t. And that’s part of the charm and fun of traveling.
