Tehachapi Pet Lodge & Outfitters

My review is about our boarding experience. I have one cat. We boarded him here for 10 days over the holidays. When we brought him home again, he had a sneeze going on the first couple of days. Over a week it has progressed into discharge from his eyes and nose and constant sneezing fits. His nose sounds like a bubbler. I’m afraid to bring him in because I don’t want him more stressed out and of course, the bill. He is eating and drinking, but definitely sick. Next time I’ll have family watch him.

What really made us like this place was the way the animals are raised/​treated. You can tell they are compassionate for their animals and the animals show signs of good health, just from one look/​interaction you can tell they aren’t scared of people. Some pet chain mills mass produce unhealthy rats that can be very aggressive, but not here. Very calm place, with very calm animals. The staff is knowledgeable and always very friendly and helpful. Best recommended pet store in Tehachapi.

This place is the best. They were very professional when we had to board our dog. The drop off was stress free; they allowed me multiple tours before hand so i was comfortable with their operation. The report card we got when we picked our dog Maui up and all the stories the employees had about her made me feel like they really took good care of her. They obviously got to know her. They have great deals on doggy baths and «yappy hour» specials. It looks like they have good specials on vaccinations too. They even took our baby fish when we had an unexpected breeding bonanza. It’s where I go to look for treats toys and fish supplies, and I won’t hesitate to board Maui at Tehachapi Pet Lodge again.

I really love the pet lodge. They take such good care of my dog while we are out of state. You can call and ask how your pet is doing, make sure the aren’t sick or sad or acting out. If your furry baby requires specific directions on how to care for him/​her all you have to do is let the workers know and they make sure everything is taken care of. Every time we pick up our dog she has had a bath and they put a cute little bandana around her neck, which she loves because she is just a princess like that.
Besides the great care your pet will receive, there counter front is a store with pet toys and necessities, food and treats, and even some pets. Another great thing is that there is the animal hospital basically next door so if your pet does get sick, they will get attention right away.

The staff at this small pet boutique are always friendly and spoil my Doberman with treats every time I bring him in. Pet food selection is small, but fortunately they carry the brand I use for my pooch.

We love this place! We frequently board our dog Sage here. The staff are friendly, the facility is clean and most importantly, our dog really seems happy to go there. The only reason I did not give this review five stars is that they fill up so quickly you have to book a couple of weeks in advance in order to ensure a kennel.

I honestly say I have never been so dissapointed with this place the owners are the rudest people I have ever met! I over heard them yelling at an employee and felt that they should not have treated this poor girl the way they they did. I won’t go back!

This is a cute little pet store! They sell fish and aquarium supplies. They sell cockatiels, budgies, and bird supplies. They sell various rodents from little mice up through guinea pigs and all the accessories and supplies necessary for them. They sell reptiles and their supplies, too! On this visit I saw a ball python and various lizards. They also sell dog and cat food, treats, toys, and clothing. It’s amazing how much they fit into such a small place and still make it look attractive and not sloppy!

I only recently have discovered the pet lodge and I’m impressed. They are the only place that carries our preferred brand of dog food. They have a really great selection and the staff is very nice and helpful. They really seem to do a good job of reaching out to the community and making their customers feel appreciated as well.
