Okay. You walk in and die. You wake up in bead heaven. You could spend all day going through all of the drawers looking for little treasures. Huge variety. Ton of unique bone beads. Prices are reasonable and the owner is a gem.

What a quaint little Shop. I met the owner right away which is always a wonderful thing! She was very helpful! I could have spent hours in there… but I had the man with me so I will just go back another time. Hehe Now I’m not a beader, I’m a buyer of pretty things. And there were many pretty made things. If you are a beader you MUST stop here!
I found some wonderful treasures! I can’t wait to share the one I bought for a fantastic person I love!

What a fantastic find! Heard about Spirited Bead by the billboard on the freeway, and thought I would check it out while passing through town. Tucked away in an industrial area, Spirited Bead has an excellent selection of beads and findings. Great selection of gemstone beads, and an amazing collection of hand crafted work by proprietor Klew. Klew and her husband run the shop, and do a great job in showing you around and introducing you to a variety of different potential projects. I was really impressed with their operation, and was just delighted to find this treasure in Tehachapi. Thank you, Klew!

I’m a slight step above the novice broader but regardless if your a noob or an expert, this little gem(I punned!) of a place is perfect. Lots of findings, chain, and good-god-almighty the beads!!! Glass, ceramic, semiprecious, bone, poly clay… anything you want they’ll have it. It also doesn’t help the décor is adorable and Klews stores her beads in old printing press drawers. To top it off, the service is excellent and everything in the store is nickel and lead free. The prices are a teensy bit on the high side but I don’t mind that — it’s a specialty bead shop owned and operated by a local businesswoman — that’s something I can afford to support!

Stopped by earlier today and it was like walking through a candy store. There are complete pieces of jewelry and a huge selection of beads and other supplies for the DIY-ers. The staff was very patient and I met Klew– very nice people. It’s one thing to view her artistry online and another to see it in person. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are brilliant. The finds here would make exquisite gifts. Made my day!

Had such a wonderful experience at this amazing bead shop. I was looking to make soccer bracelets for my girls soccer team, they had it all! The most charming soccer ball beads in various sizes and of excellent quality. Such a beautiful and endless selection of gorgeous beads throughout the store! Having never crafted a bracelet before, these ladies were so helpful and patient with me. My team bracelets turned out adorable & the girls loved them on trophy day. Thank you Spirited Bead and Klew’s Gallery… you have a real gem right here in Tehachapi!

This beautiful bead shop has an amazing selection of gemstones, chains, findings and the marvelous polymer clay beads made by Karen Lewis(«Klew»). I live in Idaho, but travel frequently to this part of CA. I do go out of my way to always visit Klew and her shop. Another bonus is the wonderful classes and workshops that Klew and her staff offer. Don’t miss out on this treasure in Tehachapi!

This is the best place on earth for beads & findings. My parents live in Tehachapi, & they know when I come to visit(used to be from Alaska, now from Colorado) that they’ll have to drop me off at The Spirited Bead store for a few hours! They have the best selection, wonderful quality, including specialty items(like lamp-work from locals) & the classes they offer sound incredible,(haven’t had the chance to take any yet, but will some day!) Klew is a local artist there, she’s AMAZING! Its worth going there just to see her latest work! All the staff are super friendly & helpful, & don’t mind you camping out in their store for hours drooling over everything. I don’t know how they keep it all organized & clean, but they do! Go OUTOFYOURWAY to go to this store if you like anything beads & art jewelry!

the spirited bead is probably one of the most complete and well stocked beading, jewelry crafting stores i have ever been too. the staff is well trained, patient and know their stuff. the owner karen lewis is world famous at making polymer clay klew beads. this is a must see. it was like moscow on the hudson the first time i was in there. i can still spend hours going thru the items. there is always new things. i am often greated at the door by the tiny gray bundle of wiggles buddy. you could spend hours… klew does classes as well.

This is a darling little shop for jewelers, art&crafts-ers, and those just wanting to find something to do in Tehachapi. Located near the home depot, this store has a modest exterior, but a truly charming interior– full of display cases and cabinets of bead after bead after bead. Beads of all shapes, sizes, and materials can be found here– as well as finished jewelry and other fun things(zipper pulls, ornaments, etc.) The staff is super helpful in assisting the most novice of jewelers(me!) in putting something together. Ask for Ali, she’s great! Anyways, this is a lovely place to come kill and hour or two. The spirited bead is a lot of fun– I also love it for gits. I made a pair of earrings for my mom last year– she loves them!
