Clemmer Moving & Storage

Run away! Wow, the salesman came to our house and promised us a «guaranteed price» and then they intentionally left 8 boxes. When we questioned them they demanded we pay an additional $ 540 and prepay for our house furniture that was on the truck. Little did we know our furniture was destroyed, they absolutely crushed a brand new Sauna and the driver then tried to extort me as well.

Let me just update my review — this is NOT a fabrication. I was so excited for the delivery of my new couch that I didn’t leave my house all day — not even to take my dogs out to go to the bathroom.
I have already asked for a copy of my phone records from Sprint. I suggest you ask your driver to do the same. I bet you he says no. I would also appreciate it if you asked the driver to describe the outside of my house for me.
If he had knocked on my door. or even pulled down the street with the truck. I would have heard it. My walls and windows are paper thin and facing the street. you can hear full conversations from people outside on the street. My dogs would have heard it as well. They bark at every little noise they hear and they hear everything.
I returned the couch because I was told you could do a Saturday delivery, but not for another 3 weeks. Completely unacceptable. I already ordered a new couch and got it delivered on Sunday. I didn’t even get a call from the new company — you know how I knew they were at my house? I heard them outside before they even knocked on my door.
I’m not saying that everyone at the company is lazy. but the guys hired to deliver my couch on Wednesday were. And if you actually looked into the situation and got some evidence which I am willing to provide, you would see that your driver IS lying. Again, I ask you to have him describe my house — because I know 100% he never showed. My only guess as to why he would do something like this is because I live on a tiny side street that he decided he didn’t want to deal with. Lazy and unprofessional.

Worst moving experience ever. Packers packed poorly, insufficient supplies, boxes.
Not enough boxes to complete job until 8:00. Loaders ran out of pads. One was surly. Measurements for crates were wrong had to be redone. Movers wanted extra day but it was not in my schedule due to their poor estimate.
Poor communication between themselves. I would never recommend this company.

I was looking for a mover for a relatively short distance move in July. I had been emailing with Veronica, and she sent me an inventory form to fill out for an estimate. I sent it back right away, but I never heard back about the estimate. I called and left a message. After a week, I called them again. The lady who answered the phone was very professional, and promised to get things sorted out right away. She asked me who I had been communicating with, and I told her it was Veronica. She was apparently on lunch, so I was promised my message would get passed on. They never called me back. I feel that I gave them more than a fair chance. I was left trying to find a last-​minute mover, which is very hard in the summer.
I guess they really didn’t want my business?

I called into Clemmer to ask for an estimate on a long distance move, I needed storage as well. The lady on the phone was very helpful and set me up with an in home estimate the next day! When the sales man came out he was very courtious and respectful answering all my questions (this was the first time I moved and long distance at that!). He emailed me a quote the next day! I was very happy with my experience with Clemmer/​Allied.

It took a week and a half in advance to have someone come out for a quote. The person sent out was late although did call to tell me he would be 45 minutes late. The relocation specialist said the estimate would be emailed in a few hours and the dates were filling up quickly so I would have to act quickly. This was a bit irritating as it took so long for them to come out to do the estimate while other companies acted far quicker. I told him that I wanted to book something immediately (that day) so the sooner I received the estimate the better. I still have not received and estimate even after a message was left. I would suggest going with a company with much better communication.

Overall, our experience with this moving company for our recent residential move was not acceptable. We were disappointed by damage to furnishings and their handling of this, as well as consistent failure of management to respond to our phone calls for updates. Would not recommend.

I have used this company for the lkast year shipping commerical products from Detroit adn LA to Atlanta and from Atlanta to St. Louis. They have always been on time with pickup and delivery. Mary is my rep and she quickly responds to all emails and very precise.
I will continue to use them for my business moves.

Poor Service. I am moving long distance and want to find a reputable mover. Clemmer is a local company servicing the Bucks County, PA area. I called for a quote and it was e-​mailed to me. Initially very professional, I followed-​up with some questions about their quote. It’s been a week and I have never heard from them since. Based on these reviews, things haven’t changed.

Do not do business with Clemmer. They drastically under estimated our load for storage and then we got stung when the ‘actual’ weight was computed. By then our belongings were in storage and we could not move again without significant expense. When it came time to deliver to our residence the entire load was not delivered, there was an inaccurate inventory of the missing items. Two chairs ‘lost’ and we now have to deal with an ineffective and non-​customer focused claim process. No sense of urgency or expressed concern for our belongings or their errors.

Clemmer sent me two postcard advertisements in the mail so I called them for an estimate. We were only a few weeks away from our settlement date. Clemmer took a few days to respond where their competitors only took a few hours. When I finally got a call back they told me they would send a person out, Ryan, to do the estimate, the following week. Ryan came out, walked through our home and said he would send the estimate in a day or so. A few days later I had no response. I emailed Clemmer asking for my estimate. I NEVER received a response from them. Not an estimate or an apology. This company is unprofessional. Go with a competitor and save yourself some time.
