In my experience, restaurants with great views tend to have poor food and service. Allreds has found the magic combo of breathtaking views, fantastic memorable food, and world class service. We made reservations at 530pm, right when the main dining room opens(thus allowing us better chance at a window table) and still allowing for plenty of sunshine to accentuate the fantastic view. While most tables will have some type of view, the dozen or so window tables directly in front of the floor to ceiling windows are where you want to be. After a brief gondola ride from the Mountain Village, you enter beautifully designed iron doors, go up an elevator enter the elegant main dining room. The hostess greeted us warmly, and sat us a a window table! We avoided alcohol because we were all feeling the effects to of the 10,500 foot altitude, although the sommelier seemed very knowledgable during our brief interaction. We had two servers who tagged teamed flawlessly and made just the right amount of small talk. A gentleman three tables popped the big question to his girlfriend, she accepted, and everyone around clapped. We started with the Wagyu beef carpaccio. The beef was cut razor thin and was as delicate as butter. They paired it with a frisee type of salad sprinkled with a crunchy element that I could not identify but added to the overall texture. Next was the veal scaloppine. It had a nice texture that paired well with the sauce and salad layered on top. We ended the night by sharing the Hot Sticky Toffee Cake, essentially chopped sweetened dates with a light caramel sauce topped with homemade whipped cream. Wow is all I have to say. Seriously a must do «bucket list» destination restaurant that I can not wait to return to.

Fabulous food, great wine selection, and a gorgeous view of the mountains. Everyone’s food was delicious but my lamb was the winner. I stole several bites of the amazing lobster bisque too. They also get bonus points for being a fancy restaurant that was effortlessly kid-friendly – both the staff and the menu had great accommodations for kids.

Table for 7 was excellent. Good was as good as anywhere on the planet. Service was over the top. Location is so unique. This is a must do for Telluride.

Very expensive and overrated. The dining room is extremely loud — sounds like a cafeteria. Started the meal with one of my pet peeves. The table wasn’t ready, so the hostess suggested a drink. We ordered and the table opened up. They wouldn’t transfer the bar tab to the table, so we all stood around while the bar tab as settled. They said it was easier this way. They obviously forgot who the guest was. Food was acceptable, but not memorable. Overall disappointed.

Might be good. We will never know. Crap policy apparently… beware if you have a large party. Arrive on time and be prepared to answer a call the day before to confirm your reservation. Wait, they don’t leave voicemails… shit service. We will take our dollars elsewhere. BIGMISTAKE!

This place is a must for Aprés Ski and you can’t beat the view. The bar area is small but worth the fight/wait. Shishito peppers and truffle fries keep us dreaming about Allred’s and our trip to Telluride all year long.

We made a point to visit at promptly 3:00 for aprés ski. Decent beer selection and fair prices. The truffle fries were devine! The lobster bisque was also amazing! Service could have been more friendly, but no major complaints. Views from the bar were excellent and totally worth a visit for either happy hour or dinner. I’d love to go back sometime for a real meal.

the views are amazing. our server had the personality of Satan and could have used some manners. we had one cocktail and bailed. four days into our Telluride trip and this is the only bad experience we have had… headed down the mountain for great views, great food AND great service…

Great view — Great food. Not the cheapest in town but you get what you pay for… Try the Elk or Pork Chop. Great wine and spirit selection. Nice Job guys!

Amazing vies of the town of telluride. Sticker shock on price point. Your paying for the experience and it’s well worth it. 1. Black cod and lobster tail. No brained excellent. 2. Burger and fries. Nice. Good stuff. Not the best but without a doubt in the sweet spot.

While skiing telluride I built up a tremendous appetite. Me and my wife decided to have dinner here. We ordered the beef carpaccio for an appetizer. It was amazing although I wanted more of the rare meat. Next we both ordered filets that were cooked very nicely. I would have liked more options on the menu but was satisfied with the filet. For desert we chose a chocolate torte and the cheesecake. My first time having a torte. It was very rich and decadent. Wife loved the cheesecake. Would visit again.

Allred’s again does not disappoint. We love the bar for a casual dinner, apres ski and amazing views of the town of Telluride. But, last night we enjoyed dinner in the dining room with family in town for the Holidays. The service was top notch from the host to the general manager, our server and sommelier. And, the food was outstanding, we enjoyed salads, the tenderloin, elk and the delicious potato croutons. We commented about the caesar salad and how it was so tasty and better than most salads, so simple but better than any caesar salad I’ve ever had. Katie our sommelier was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Taking a gondola to dinner is a fun experience. We can’t wait to go back!

OMG. WORDSCANNOTDESCRIBETHISVIEW! I can not comment on dinner. We stopped here around 3:30 after a day on the mountain. The hostess greeted us and told us the bar was at full capacity. Which it was. Packed. She told us we could, however have a seat in the dining room until 4;45(because they were fully booked for dinner). We said ok. We were only there for a cocktail because we had heard about the views. WELL… We turn the corner and my jaw dropped. No words. An entire wall of windows opening to the entire town and mountains. Please. Stop. Here. For. At. Least. A. Drink. You are welcome.

You come for the amazing scenic view, and you stay for the delightful service and food. When the GM, Mario, starts your meal by offering unlimited, free ice cream to my children for finishing their meals, then you know you’ve sat down for something special. When you take children to a fine dining restaurant, most will seat you in the farthest corner and pretend like my well-behaved children aren’t there. But Mario started the evening off by embracing them, which won huge points for our experience. Service was top notch all night: from the hostess, to the bar staff while we waited for our table(we were early), to the servers, and all the way to Mario himself. The food was delicious. Somewhat typical steakhouse fare, but all prepared well and very delicious! At the end of the meal, Mario stuck to his word and escorted my 7 year old into the kitchen so he could pick out his ice cream, and even took him for seconds! And because my daughter was too little/timid, her brother brought her back some too. We were there to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday, and there are few things in life that make a Nana as happy as seeing her grandbabies happy.

Request a window seat with the view of Telluride. Go early or late, but get the view. It is amazing. The food and service are excellent. Portions are large(too large for us and wishing we skipped the crudités appetizer, which was huge). If you can’t get a table at the window, honestly, I would skip Allred’s. There are other excellent restaurants in Telluride and Mountain Village in the same price/quality range.

Take the gondala up from town, just remember how you got up there, and which gondala to go back. The food is as good as the view, service is excellent.

Ride the Gondola. Enjoy the view. Go to Allreds. Get a drink. Enjoy more view. So this is a members only club during most of its hours except for après time. Although, they did let us in for lunch since it was slow that day. The bartenders there are funny and friendly. And the truffle fries come in heaping piles. A must hit place for those visiting telluride.

Maybe the best après-ski ever? I stopped here during the busiest week of the year(between Christmas and NY), for cocktails and munchies and it did not disappoint! Allred’s has a beautiful dining room overlooking a breathtaking view of Telluride, plus a great bar area. Given the busy day we talked the staff into allowing us to have our après-ski fun in the dining room so we could sit. We enjoyed a beautiful pinot noir, truffled fries and their nut trio while gazing at the spectacular view. Service was excellent. The only disappointment was that I wasn’t staying for dinner and couldn’t sit there past 4:30(they needed the dining room for dinner). But I’m so happy they allowed us to hang out there to begin with, so I can’t actually complain. This is a can’t miss destination for cocktails after skiing if you don’t mind spending a few bucks. They have a great area to hold boots and coats, and have lendable slippers to keep your feet warm! Seriously!

If you’re looking for an amazing view of Telluride, look no further. Allred’s has the most spectacular view, and taking the gondola to get there was is much fun. I had the Malbec, which was superb, and everyone else in our party enjoyed their drinks as well. Would definitely go back and have dinner.
