These guys were great! Got some nice demo skis, snowboard, etc for the fam. The staff kept smiling through a number of changes and special requests. I have been renting skis in telluride for about 12 years at the competition and these guys are frankly the best.

My friends and I stayed at Mountain Lodge for a quick spring break. How convenient that a Christy Sports is located right inside of the Lodge! Plus, customers who stay at Mountain Lodge get a 20% discount. The rentals for both snowboards and skis were VERY reasonably priced, and we were helped in a quick and professional manner. We went in the afternoon before we wanted to go play, and they didn’t charge us for that day. What a time saver! When things didn’t work out as planned, the staff were VERY accommodating, professional, and helpful. And returning equipment is a breeze. No lines, no waiting, awesome customer service, very reasonable prices. In Telluride. The only reason you wouldn’t come here if you are staying at Mtn Lodge is b/c you own equipment already. My daily rate for snowboard and boots was $ 37(including the $ 2 «just in case of oops» fee.)

I was skiing Telluride during the week between Christmas and NYE with massive crowds, Christy Sports saved me on my first day on the slopes! I reserved skis with Telluride Sports through my ski school package… but when I arrived at the Mtn Village TS rental shop it was clear the line was going to take 60 – 90 mins. Yes, it was that long(and not moving. At. All.). I had 30 mins until it was time to line up for my lesson so I ran across the plaza to Christy Sports and paid(again) for a rental there. The guy working was SUPER nice and geared me up very quickly with an awesome demo set. He also kindly stored my gear bag for the day. I wish I’d known they had online rentals, I will try that next time! PS. Prices are pretty awesome for demo equipment. Cheaper than Telluride Sports, which shocked me.

They seem to have lots of skis/snowboards and accessories, but I can only speak directly to their sunglass selection, which served me well this morning. The prices aren’t crazy either.

Amazing customer service! I don’t know what happened with the previous reviewer but we used the smaller, 565 Mountain Village Dr location in Telluride and do not have enough nice things to say! My family of 4 was in Telluride to ski and we booked our rental online in advance based on the lowest price. Christy Sports was, by far, the best deal in town. I was a little concerned we might have shortchanged ourselves because of the great price but we were pleasantly surprised with every aspect of the experience. Online reservations were super easy to start. The staff in the shop were incredible! Jeff & Ryan helped us and we’re extremely patient, friendly, helpful and relaxed! Our group has varying levels of ski ability but the guys took their time with each of us talking about which ski might be best, fitting everything perfectly, and making sure we were extra comfortable. They even helped us with directions to parking and suggested the best ski runs for us. They held our gear during the day and overnight so we didn’t have to pay for lockers or worry. The shop was relatively small and we were their only customers at the time so we got great 1-on-1, customized experience. I highly recommend these guys! They really started off our day on the slopes with a great beginning! :)

Terrible service. We had completed our paperwork online prior to arriving. When we arrived we were told to wait outside of the waiting area and that there were 4 or 5 people ahead of us. We waited over an hour for one of the two techs to help us. We continually saw people come in and be helped and yet when we asked where we were after a half hour we were told there were still 4 people in front of us. When we did get helped, she got one person’s boots at a time, making for a very slow process. She also setup the snowboard for goofy despite being told twice to set it up for regular footed. Only one of the techs seemed to know how to setup the boards and skis. One improvement would be to have a monitor or even a notepad so people can see where they are in the queue. It was two hours before we were out the door with one snowboard and one set of skis. I will rent somewhere else next time I’m in Telluride.
