Alberto’s Mexican Food

Never like posting negative reviews about a place but all I can say is that the quality of the food dramatically needs to improve!!! Family literally had 1 bit of our food and we tossed away $ 28 worth of food and went to another location.

Ordered a Cali breakfast burrito and it came with no eggs, cold cheese, and about a pound of sour cream. I will never come here ever again. Can’t believe I even bothered tipping. Thanks for ruining my breakfast I ended up throwing the burrito in the trash. I wouldn’t even feed my dogs the food I got. I immediately felt sick like a vomit feeling after I had the few bites I did have. There are so much better places in Temecula for sure.

Supposedly they open at 8. Waited outside watching them work inside until 815. They just looked at me and did their thing. Still stayed closed. Terrible service!

Called and guy answered «hello.» Girl picked it up eventually and laughed the whole time through my order. Wasn’t ready when I got there and I was treated rudely. It’s just 2 kids running the place-​unprofessional and then both bean & cheese burritos were filled with a bunch of cold cheese, barely and beans and not to mention it was the incorrect order.
Don’t waste your time/​money– too many good Mexican shops in Temecula

Since when does a bacon breakfast burrito contain only undercooked eggs, potatoes and cheese with one small piece of bacon? and even then the sliver of bacon looked like they placed it in their by mistake. I was hubgry and should have took the reviews intro consideration before buying a burrito from here. 2 stars for at least trying. I guess?

My hubby likes their Chorizo burrito so I gave them another star. Someone mentioned how 10 years ago this place was awesome and it was! Their Carne Asada was so flavorful and was cooked perfectly back then. Now the meat seems like it was boiled no lovely brown caramelization on the meat which used to be very present before. The texture is off and the flavor is not there anymore. I love Nachos and they never melt your cheese. They look at me very confused when I ask them to melt my cheese. I really don’t feel melted cheese on nachos is weird. They just put a whole bunch of cold shredded cheese on top of the nachos and it doesnt melt at all and is still cold when I get home. Who doesn’t melt cheese on nachos? I almost thought that maybe I was weird for wanting melted cheese on nachos. They seriously look at me like, «oh you want your cheese melted on there that’s weird!» I find it very annoying that I have to stick my nachos in the microwave to melt the cheese myself. Blah!

Don’t waste your time here. As soon as I walked in, the cashier was on the phone talking to someone and completely ignored my existence. I would’ve expected at least an «sorry just one second» and I would’ve waited, but she even brushed off a Latino man who asked her about a drink. I stood there for a good 6 or 7 minutes waiting when I decided to just leave and go to Coffee Bean with my husband. Based off previous reviews, the food isn’t worth it.

BEWARE I used my credit card here and they over charged me. I called them and they were less then help full. Now I have to go through my credit card company… food was okay. Not nearly as good as it was at this location 10 years ago. Would have gave them 3 stars but the whole over charging me thing then not fixing their mistake…

Went there this am ordered a few burritos and rolled tacos the food wasn’t that good and it was cold… The salsa was very bland with no flavor. I won’t be going back there again.

Hardly any guacamole in two Cali burritos we just bought. If your going to charge extra, then you should actually include enough guacamole to at least taste it. And my burrito in particular had chunks of cold hard cheese. Extremely Disappointing. I recommend going to the one off of Hot Springs if you really want Alberto’s. Only reason I came here was because it is close to my house. Absolute worst experience. Will never be coming back here. Don’t waste your money on this place.

If we could give this negative stars we would. Awful and tasteless food. Taco shredded beef was like burnt dry wad. The tortilla on the burrito was so stale it just fell apart. Then to add insult to injury they charge you a $ 0.50 fee to use your credit card.
Experience the last time was the same and they gave us the wrong food too. Shame on us for going back.

This place is garbage. Ordered a burrito, it was out of stock, ordered a second burrito so they refunded my credit card. Ended up charging me 3 times all as debits. Had to dispute the transaction through my bank since they didn’t want to issue a refund and were incompetent at understanding math. I retained all the receipts because I had a feeling as soon as I walked into the place and left.
Food was disgusting and greasy and veggies were under cooked and partially raw. Chipotle is right down the street. Save your money and buy a better quality meal.

This was probably the worst Mexican food I had in my entire life. How are these people still in business? I think the food inspector skips this location. There is no way food can be this terrible. The chicken was SO old, and I don’t even think they use the FIFO system with their salsas. Never again.

First time here. Had the carnitas burrito, the pork is dry and extremely tough, as in I can’t chew through some of it tough. Burrito is also unusually greasy. Doubt I’ll come back.

This is the worst albertos ive been too. I keep coming back out of convenience but it’s not worth it anymore. Like a previous post said the California burrito was so bad my wife and i didn’t finish it. The sour cream was clumped the cheese was clumped and the carne asada was very salty. But i guess its what you get when you have high school boys cooking when you can just tell they don’t want to be there. El Ranchito down the street is way better. Sorry guys you need some better training or management.

New owners or management or something because it is now one of our favorites! Great turn around and clearer menu.

This place is the worst Alberto’s there is, everyone knows that. Alberto’s on Margarita and Murrieta Hot Springs do it right. Even the one on Rancho Cali is better now. Ever since this place’s management changed, the food has gotten worse. I wanted to give this place another try but the food is always disappointing. I definitely won’t be back now.
I ordered two Cali burritos with no pico and 3 rolled tacos. Let’s just say the cheese was not broken down and there was HUGE clumps of cheese on my rolled tacos. And instead of having the burritos I was craving, they made me 2 breakfast burritos. Ugh gross. The bacon was not good and the eggs. I just couldn’t. How do you get the order wrong. They are two different things.
THE SAUCES ARE NOT GOOD. It’s like they never change them. And they don’t supply with lime which you have to ask for (and still didn’t have! Lemon has a different taste).
The lil guy in the front seems so lazy. We called 3 times after being disappointed with our orders and guess what this guy did. He answers and puts the phone down. But after the 4^th time of calling, he answers and responds. He can’t even sound professional! I asked for a manager and he started talking to his coworker in Spanish while I was still on the phone! And not only that, I’ve witnessed all this myself when I came in. He doesn’t even try to pick up the phone when it rings.
I went back and was able to get 1 Cali burrito for free but it was GROSS and cold.
This is why we always drive 15 mins away for our Mexican food fix to a different place (usually Los Jillbertos or Alberto’s on Margarita). This place has always been so bad with service.
If you love Mexican food, don’t go here. It will not satisfy you if you know what authentic Mexican food tastes like.

Gave this place another chance since they changed management and i was very pleased with my decision. I ordered the «Carnitas Torta» and it was delicious! Very big serving size! Every Time i go back i order the same thing. Staff if very friendly and fast!

Meh. Even tho this place is closer to my house than any other mex restaurant, lately I’ve driven to other places as eating here is consistently disappointing. I get cheese when I carefully asked for none. I don’t get beans when I do ask, and once they charged me 1.07 for two tablespoons of beans after they FORGOT it. Geez, a whole can of refried beans doesn’t cost that much. What it did cost this Alberto’s is however… ALL my future business. Big mistake.

Came here with family on Friday nite — place was clean & guy @ register was friendly. My wife had the fajitas burrito & I had a tostada — both were tasty. The chicken quesadillas our girls had were way too greasy but overall, not bad.
HOWEVER, they do NOT have a public restroom which I thought was required when you have a sit-​down restaurant. Sorry but after a semi greasy meal & with 4 kids, you NEED a visit to the bathroom. The owner, I think, apologized & referred me to 7 – 11? The restaurant 2 doors away had a big sign — Restrooms for Duke customers only — don’t blame them. Because of this we WON’T be back. Would consider take out.
