It’s hit or miss with this place. Sometimes it’s great and others it’s a complete disaster. I waited so long today and got tacos that were overcooked and looked like someone stepped on it before they gave it to me. The staff is very nice though.

I often find myself driving an extra 20 miles for the food alone. It’s a breathe of fresh air to have customer service without the feeling that the friendliness is forced, that’s always a lovely 10 seconds of awkward silence. Prices, as far as burritos go, are reasonable for the amount of food and quality you receive. Keep in mind it is a Pechanga Casino, and with that being said at most hours it is busy at the gas station where Baja Express is located.

They are the closest restaurant to my house and I refuse to eat there. You pay six dollars for a burrito that is full of rice as a cheap filler. And they use the cheap ingredients. There Carne Asada is dry, taste awful and always has hard gristle in it. It is more like dog food.

This is a great little quick option for some quick delicious Mexican food at good prices. What makes this place extra convenient is the drive thru, which has always been quick and after about 8 times there, have yet to get my order wrong *knock on wood*. If you want, you can go inside. The order window is located inside the gas station, walk left when you go inside. The employees are always cool, and food comes out quick. They also have a little salsa bar. You can take the food to eat, or eat there. They have a couple tables inside and outside. Now onto the food. They have a wide variety of Mexican food and a bit of American food, including fries. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I’ve had the breakfast burritos which are pretty good, the salsa gives them a nice flavor. I always add potato in my breakfast burrito. For lunch I usually get the taquitos, carne asada fries, or the Indian taco. All very tasty. This place is located on Pechanga Indian reservation, and is also near many other Indian reservations. The Indian taco is a Native American«delicacy», which basically is a fry bread topped with refried beans, lettuce, some type of meat, cheese, and tomatoes. It is a must try! And this is the only restaurant I’ve ever seen it offered at, usually I see it only at festivals.

Ordered the cheeseburger for my daughter. Specifically asked what comes on the burger. Lettuce tomato pickles onion thousand island dressing. I ask to ONLY have lettuce and ketchup on her burger. Drive home 3 exits away and I find myself scraping off… tomato pickles onions and thousand island dressing and having to add my own ketchup. She could still tell there was ‘mayonnaise’ all over the buns(both ends)!!! Plus side was the fries were good and the cashier was nice even though my order was made wrong. Not her fault because I saw her type in my adjustments.

A very unassuming delicious restaurant inside the Pechanga market. We have been going here for years. We usually take our food to go because there really is not a dining room to sit at. Carne asada is very tasty! Everything else is good too. Definitely worth a try.

The food is actually pretty good here. You can ask for the fries extra crispy. And they have Mr. Pibb!
