Cost Plus World Market

It’s big and full of random items I’m assuming from around the world? Has snacks, furniture and home accents. I went around the store glancing at items. I bought a few tea boxes and snacks for the kids.
The place had a garage like look but looked like a «home goods» type vibe. There were so many random items it looked as if it were cluttered. Maybe it was just the way they set things up or the color décor. Prices seemed kind of high even thought the items were marked on sale. I went when I was on my lunch. I would go again when I have more time to look.

Do you like rumors? Juicy gossip? I just heard that Cost Plus may be getting a beer cooler in the future! This is really great if they pull it off. The beer selection is bigger and better than ever: so many craft and micro brews in stock, PLUS they have tastings! Woo-​hooo!
Sometimes you meet the coolest people in Temecula. Today I met the manager of the World Market beer department, Summer, and she is going really good things here! I was already picking up their large size beers on sale (rewards card thing) but the selection has grown to the point where I want to shop more often.
Another thing, and this is a repeat from my previous review, is that they carry Bootlegger’s beers in all their glory. Summer mentioned that of all the tastings they’ve had so far, Bootlegger’s has been the most popular. This is important because A) I’m a fan and B) Cost Plus is one of the few places in Temecula I can find it.
Now if they get a beer cooler I might have to move in…

I enjoy my bi-​annual visits to this store.
My biggest problem is, their «long burning» tea lite candles… They do burn longer… The problem I have with them, they barely have a flame, which is probably why they burn longer, not because they’re actually burning better than even a Walmart tea lite, which I can get 100 for $ 5. Instead of nearly $ 7 for 50.
Also, the store is in such disarray, and not much changes in they way of products.
I purchased a print two and a half years ago for $ 99. 00 and the same print is still there for the same price… Hmm. Disappointing to make such infrequent visits and continue to see nothing but the same product.
Zero staff can be found on the floor.

I love this store for all the variety, unique items and prices however the customer service needs serious improvement. There are never enough cashiers, they do not know what their sales are, and the sale signs are not accurate. Would shop there more is this were improved a lot.

I believe it was Kristen. VERY helpful! Made sure I received the proper discount for Veterans Day sale and even confirmed the shipping date.

This location is fairly large. Nice selection of everything. Good location. «Aisles» were a bit crowded. Staff was distracted chatting. Only one girl helped me. I stood at the register while 2 employees stood there talking, waiting to be helped for at least 3 – 4 minutes, before that same girl walked up and asked if I needed to check out. She literally was the only employee doing her job.

What’s not to love about the World Market? They have amazing furniture, great snacks, awesome booze, uniquely delicious coffee, and odds and ends that you can only find at the World Market! I adore that place!

This is the best place ever to buy stocking stuffers and cool kitchen gadgets. It’s easy to get loose track of time browsing around the isles here. The time it takes to check out here is slightly irritating but I do only come around Christmas, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Best place to get imported foodstuffs like british chocolates and cookies, great mediterranean lights, industrial furniture and christmas ornaments. Lots of stuff to look at, plenty of trinkets all at reasonable prices. Always good to check in once a month and stock up on junk food! Staff are always nice but lines are always a bit slow.

So much great gunk in this market. Beer selection is out of this world. But the beer is not cold which isn’t cool. No worries. Almost all the items here are made in China. So they should change their name to china market.

OK. First, have always loved the store, and clerks are so nice. But, signed up for Rewards. got notice in mail I was $ 19 away from a reward. then spent over $ 40. over a month ago. Clerk assured be both visits that my Rewards ID was entered. STILL getting same email that I am STILL $ 19 away! Wrote them and they told me those $ 40 in purchases never registered. Now they want proof from me. (receipts) So all I can say is if you want the rewards, you better save your receipts as I did not and they are saying basically I am lying about my purchases, so I am hosed. UPDATE: after I pitched a fit they gave me my credit. In future, as a precaution, I suggest keeping receipts just in case the clerks don’t enter the rewards id properly, or there is a problem.

Never any assistance on the sales floor, EVER. Expired food on the shelves. Multiple poor experiences in this location, which is unfortunate as I usually love World Market.

Dear Madam or Sir
I am experiencing some of the worst customer service through your Santa Cruz and Temecula stores that I have ever had.
On the 28^th of September I drove three and a half hours to Santa Cruz to pick up a Rainer futon I had placed on hold with the store manager, John. Once I arrived on Sunday afternoon the store staff informed me it had been sold.
Not only had John assured me the futon would be available, but upon arrival Jeremy and Allison– the on duty managers, were rude and unfriendly and had absolutely no consideration for my drive time.
After calling the Santa Cruz store the following Tuesday, John assured me he would have the futon shipped to my store in San Luis Obispo from the Temecula store– where one was located.
The last time I received an update from John was the 12^th of October so I called the Temecula store myself. I spoke with the most helpful person so far, her name was Summer. She had her store manager Kristen follow up with me. Kristen left me a message on Wednesday the 15^th of October saying FedEx would ship my futon the following day. After no follow up call– I called Kristen back this morning to find that the shipping was not approved by the district manager. John confirmed this when I finally reached him this morning as well.
At this point it is the 20^th of October, nearly a month after I drove to Santa Cruz and Wold Market is still failing to follow through on both ends.
Please make this right.

Would I shop here for my weekly groceries? No.
But, this place is AWESOME. My boyfriend and I were on a kick to try international foods. So we bought up the store a few months back. We primarily bought international junk food or cool looking items that we have not seen before to try.
3 – 4 months later, we STILL have a TON of food left. Probably because we don’t eat a lot of junk food, but it’s fun to sample it or so.
Plus they have a lot of really cool things in here. We bought a little egg boiler helper that you cook with the eggs to figure out when the eggs are ready. Works perfectly.
We’ll be back next time we want to sample different foods.

One of my favorite stores. This location is no different. I often peruse through the selections at the San Diego locations however, I feel like I find better deals at this Temecula location (but it could just be coincidental). I only wish the staff were a little more accessible. I find it hard to find staff for a question when I come so I have to dock one star. The cashier can’t leave the register so I often have to wait for one to be called or I just can’t find one.
But the selection is great; whether you’re looking for kitchenware, furniture, fashion jewelry, gifts, etc. It’s just a great place to shop. If you’ve never been to any of their stores, it’s kind of like shopping at a huge Pier One Imports. It’s a dangerous place when you’ve got money to spend and have redecorating on your mind :)

I had the greatest experience shopping here. Two different sales people asked to assist me. Then when my brother couldn’t find something, Ebony, helped him find it on his phone, got him signed up for their «explorer» program which allowed him to save an additional 30% and gave FREE shipping. WOW. I am very impressed!!! Terrific training here. Very clean and organized as well. I will return for sure.

From Food items to furniture, this place is always fun to explore.

Final thoughts: They dealt with me all day and the 2^nd shift was better staffed, had more veteran associates, and tip top customer service. From the set, I constructed the bench first and decided to return all the chairs since the bench had the casual and chic look with the end chairs that I had bought from another store. The table is beautiful despite the «new characteristics» and fits amazingly, given its design. All together, the price was nice at about $ 800 for 2 benches and a solid wood dining table. I also received an additional discount for the damage done to my table on top of this weekend’s 25% off sale for some additional shopping. Management became familiar with me by the end of the day yet still exemplified perfect customer service.
Word of advice: HIRE MORE MALE STAFF FOR YOUR FURNITURE SALES.

Spent close to $ 1000 on a dining set at this store. Had to wait over 2 weeks for the chairs and bench to come in. I rented a truck to pick it up. The box with the table in it was torn open. The 2 associates that were designated to «help» us load it into the truck, dragged the open box along the warehouse floor and over 10 feet of asphalt, damaging and scraping the finish off one of the corners of my table. On top of that, when I got home, 2 legs for the dining table were missing. This location has craptastic lack of staff and corporate support, i only saw 3 staff members working today on probably the busiest i’ve seen the store. Now I have to haul ass back to the store to pick up the remaining legs. When i’m in there, it’s going to take every last ounce of will power not to throw some elbows!
