The worse DMV experience. Just moved here from NYC and when going to this DMV, I realized how awful and different this is from the ones in NYC. It didn’t seem like most if not all the people who worked there knew exactly what they were doing to or what paperwork needed to be submitted. I applied for my license over a month ago only to find out I still to this day have not received it and they input my address wrong. They spelled my street name wrong and omitted my apartment number. I just went there again and the lady claimed she would check on it but I doubt they would. I already paid for this the first time and they wanted to charge me AGAIN for something THEY messed up on the first time!!! It’s very much what you would expect from a small town where most administrators you come across just do not care about what they do. I thought NYC state/​city administrators were bad but one ones here make NYC look efficient as hell in comparison.

I can tell that this is going to be one of my first thumbs-​down comments about this DMV in Temecula. I have been here for 25 minutes already and have not been called, even though I scheduled an appointment ahead of time. Ok, Over one hour later I am out with a name change on my drivers license. And it is HOT in there. In the customer seating section there is no air, but as soon as you walk up to the desk where the workers are sitting, you feel cool air suddenly. Not cool at all.

I wish I could give this place negative stars. It is the WORST dmv that I’ve ever been to. They were completely rude. I dont recommend ever going to this dmv, unless you want to get b****** at. I will never go back again.

The long lines are expected from DMV’s in general. I dropped one star due the length of wait for the DMV. However I must say that from when I got in line originally to get my number all the way to processing the multiple things that I needed done that all the staff that I went to was very helpful and knowledgable about what was needed. 4 stars for the friendly and helpful staff.

I left here extremely upset!!! I knowingly spent 3 – 4 hours of my day here without an appointment, but that’s not what rubbed me the wrong way… I recently had my wallet stolen out of my car and felt as though I would just get it taken care of today…
After 3.5 hours of being here, you would think processing my request and collecting $ 27 for a new DL would be the easiest thing, but the lady behind the counter decided she was going to change the hair color on my new ID… I’ve been a red headed blue-​eyed whiteboy my whole life… My «red» hair is darker than most gingers out there, but my hair is still considered RED… This B took it upon herself to change it to brown. Wtf!!! I’ve been called a ginger my whole life, it’s my identity. And this lady decided she was going to tell me what hair color I have???
It’s not like I’m lying over here… What brown haired person claims to be a ginger? Lol… No one!!!
Thanks to her, my new drivers license will have janky ass incorrect information about who I am… I’m one pissed off ginger right now!!! Nothing like investing time to go to the DMV for them to fuck things up.

2.5 hr wait time. Got there at 8:40, spent 20 min outside the rest within. You really need to make an appointment. Everyone with an appointment was treated like royalty, all us non appointment people were tossed around like cattle. Staff could really work on there customer service skills. I had all my paperwork filled out and ready to go. There no reason to give me attitude when I have every section filled out. It’s like they look for something to deny you to come back. Also if you have to repeat yourself to an older couple 3 times they are not understanding the terminology you are using. Try it a different way and be patient, your on the clock and getting paid. The website projected wait time does not work either.

worst dmv ever!!! Try to avoid this place at all costs!!! Nothing like wait for 3 hrs to be told to come back. Then come back and wait another 3 hours to be told to have an inspection. Then get the inspection and wait another hour to be told you don’t have all the required documentation. So far I have wasted 3 days and 7 hrs at this DMV and still can’t register my out of state car. This DMV is by far the worst I have ever been to!!!

I hate you DMV! Online change of address didn’t work so we have to come in to renew it and it was an excruciating 4 hour wait!!! This place is horrible! All DMVs are…

Worst DMV I’ve ever been to. Waited for 4 hrs before my number got called. Everything was slow and I don’t even know how random they call the numbers. Their credit/​debit card was out and we had to withdraw cash. Had to start back from the beginning of the line!!! It felt like winning the lottery when I heard my number called. Some people just gave up and left. They need to change something in there. It was such a horrible experience.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at the DMV. Operator C5 «Bertha» was the by far one of the rudest people I have encountered. She talk down to my husband and I the entire visit. We went in because we never received our tags. She proceeded to tell us the it’s people like «us» that cost the DMV money and began to lecture us on how they have to pay $ 30 every time someone walks in to get tags.
We also just moved a couple days prior to our appointment at the DMV so we came in to get a new license with the corrected address. When she printed the receipt we pointed out that she spelled the address wrong. Again, another lecture on how it’s people like us that wast the DMV’s time because she can’t read our writing. She never expressed she couldn’t read the writing or asked for clarification. She down talked us the entire time we were with her. Her behavior was so bad that two other Dmv employees actually came to us after the transaction to express their embarrassment and apologize for her behavior. Pretty bad when other employees have to apologize for another employees behavior. I did fill out complaint cards but do wonder what good it will do. She really needs to be accountable for her behavior and I hope they actually do something about it. But I doubt it!

As most people, I dread the thought of having to go to the DMV. But there was no way around it this time. I called about 2 weeks ago to make an appointment. I had a lot to get done transfer title to a car; get my mother a new California I.D.; pay the registration; and, get a new handicap placard for my mother. The young lady at the service center in Fresno, Ashley, was so helpful. She walked me through everything, sent the forms to me that I needed to complete, with directions on each one, and made my appointment.
Well yesterday was the day. I was so nervous. I had to take my mother, who is 90 years old with me. I had an expired handicap placard and prayed that I could find a close parking spot. Thank you Jesus, there was one right in the front. I went in to the appointment desk, an hour early, and checked in. The young man that was there was fabulous. He went through my paperwork to double check that it was done correctly.
We went to sit and wait our turn. There was no where to sit. Almost everyone there offered us there seat. What kind people. I had to fill out a couple of forms, that I missed info on, while trying to watch my mom, as well as keep an eye on the number A-​34!
Everyone helped me. The people waiting and the DMV staff.
When our number got called we went to window 4. The lady there was so kind and patient with me. My mom had to get a new picture for her ID at window 16, on the other side of the room. A member of the DMV staff walked her over to the window while I continued to fill out paperwork.
In all, the whole thing took less than 35 minutes. I was very impressed by the staff. They smiled, were patient, answered my stupid questions, and treated my mom with respect.
They deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you so much.

Tried to make an appt but nothing available within two weeks. Checked the website and temecula showed no wait time. Drove down here and the place is FULL of people waiting. Don’t believe their website wait time. Not updated/​mor correct.

DMV Temecula is the rudest place EVER the employees must hate their jobs, perhaps their lives because they never smile, are never pleasant, and treat everyone rudely, plus they don’t give the necessary information to complete a transaction. Hate this place and I rarely say hate!

The rumors are true– the DMV sucks *gasp*. Now that you’re over it, here’s some things you can do to make your trip a little better.
1. Get an appointment as far in advance as you can
2. If you have to go without an appointment, get there at least an hour before they open.
3. If you can help it, don’t go during the summer. Without an appointment you’re gonna be in line outside for about an hour in direct sunlight. Next thing you know, it’s four hours later, you’re miserable and leaving bad Unilocal reviews.

This place is more stressful than going through an immigration customs security check in the Republic of China, yes ive been there. This place is a puzzle palace! Even if you make an appointment they won’t make your appointment time and you’ll have to wait. I’ve done all my research that I needed to get my vehicle reregister after deployment and still needed some document that was not on any DMV website after waiting an hour and a half in line.

3 stars just for the sheer wait time alone. This far over shadows the incredible employees who deal with the public daily. So many people if they would just learn to read would make everything speed up. The office has been updated and the line moves smoothly without people walking all over themselves now. So it had gotten better then years past even with the huge crowds !!!

This is the absolute worst dmv I have ever entered. The line is wrapped around the entire building and inside there are 4 windows that are not being used. The workers show no sense of urgency to get people in and out. People that were waiting behind me are leaving way before my number was even called. I showed up 30 min early and now 3 hours after opening I still am waiting in line. Hope you weren’t planning to stop by on your day off because you might as well spend the night and be in line for tomorrow.
No sense of urgency, waste of your day, not fun for anyone.
I drove to Hemet for their dmv and was finished withing 20 min. Just for the hell of it I stopped by temecula and my number still hadn’t bein called yet.
