RENTERS BEWARE, SO DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED WITH THIS PLACE. HAVE BEEN WITH THEM FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AND ALREADY 2 RATE INCREASES, SO RIDICULOUS. I have rented at other places (other place I rent from been there 10 years and never an increase but had nothing open for what we currently needed) and this has never happened before. Called to speak with a supervisor they said one would contact me within 24 – 48 hours never happened. Two weeks later final received a call from Shane and I got the blah, blah blah sorry nothing I can do answer but maybe at the next increase, in 10 months, he might be able to help if Im paying over the going rate for my type of spot. Had I known that 6 months after your initial rent they raise it automatically and then every 10 months after that I would of went somewhere else. This type of business practice is so annoying!!!

They begin hiking your rental rate within 3 months of beginning service with them. The response from customer service is that the way the contract is written, they could raise it every month. After raising the concern the gal in the office stated that «I could just move out.»

If you can, I would find a local storage company. These corporate facilities, just do not care.
Also you do not have access ²⁴⁄₇ as I first thought. You cannot get in past 10: pm.
Do not pay their premiums for less than average service.

Quote and confirmation of size and price do not match to space assigned and billed! I looked for storage units on line. I got the quote on line for a 10×10 @ $ 98. per month and received a confirmation call from the manager but when I moved in the space was 4 ft smaller than what I agreed to measuring 6×10. Since it was late in the day I came back the next day and spoke to the acting manager. Who agreed the unit was not I agreed to and was paying for. I received a phone call from the manager a few days later stating the measurements to the units were not exact but off by 4 ft! She then offered me a credit of $ 8.00 per month. When I priced the units online the price for a 6×10 was $ 74 but the manager and district manager are charging me $ 90. What the heck! I would NOT recommend this facility due to poor unethical business practices.

Staff and service was great until my rates kept going up every 5 to 9 months. As a new customer, you are offered a much lower rate than the «street price.» However, to get you to that «street price», you will get your first increase after 5 months (at least 10%), then 9 months later you will get another 15% increase so that you are at the street rate. Calling the office manager does nothing as the «street rates» are set by Corporate. Which is true because I verified this with Corporate. However, Corporate did state that the leasee is in a month-​to-​month lease and that Corporate can raise the rates every single month if they choose to do so (aka to meet shareholder profitability requirements). Even paying every month on time does not matter. I’ve used other long term storage companies without these ridiculous frequent price hikes that Extra Space charges. Avoid this company’s low introductory rate and go with a solid company that will lock in your rates.

It was really easy to setup the contract for my unit. Compared to other storage facilities in Southern California the price was very reasonable as well the safety and cleanliness is good. Also, if you’re using Uhaul there are two locations nearby that you can turn it in.

I just have to say that I’m sorry to finally be taking my stuff out of storage! This place has been such a clean & personable experience every time I’ve come! The front desk staff was always so friendly & willing to help! The on-​sight manager Karina is always there to welcome you with a great smile & positive attitude! Her coworkers (Maria when she was there & George) all the same! Not only was my experience positive & affordable here but I’d like to think i made a few friends on my way in & out of here gathering my old junk as well as on the phone to pay my bill throughout this last year. Thanks again guys for giving the ultimate customer service experience!

Got a great deal on storing my enclosed trailer. Great service by Karina and the other gentleman. I would recommend them to anybody that’s looking for storage. Great customer service which seems to be a lost art!

If you like your stuff and your money, don’t rent with Extra Space Temecula. If for any reason your autobill doesn’t go through, they will jack you with massive fees and will not accept only the past due amount. You’ll have to pay the past due, fees and the current rental — and they’re extremely rude about it.
Want to use your own insurance? Sorry, you can’t fax or email them a certificate of insurance, you have to do it in person, which is perfectly fine if you are near by. If you’re on the road, forget it — pay the inflated insurance premium.
I’d give them a zero rating if this was possible. Out of all the storage lockers I’ve rented over the years, Extra Space Temecula is the worst.

So happy we found Express Space Storage. Maria was terrific and very efficient. We were able to choose which unit we wanted by reserving them first. The unit we chose is all metal, very clean and even has an electrical hookup. We were in and out in no time feeling we had accomplished a very important task needed for our move and feeling we were in good hands. The only suggestion we would have is that when you go to pay for your unit, you should be told beforehand that there is a one-​time administrative fee for handling the paper work. I would give this facility more than one star if we were talking about their customer service center via their headquarters however this rating is a direct reflection of the health of the facility and it’s management. My husband and I haven’t used a storage facility for over 12 years. We reserved here because they were in proximity to our new house and their ratings were good. Upon reserving via their headquarters we had wonderful service, even from the facilities employees welcoming us. We moved our things in and went on auto pay. Fast forward a few months when we are ready to move our things out we took a few boxes home at a time. The boxes that we took to our home had VISITORS inside, ROACHES. We contacted head quarters and had to wait to speak to the manager. I showed her pictures of the live roaches that we brought to our new home and our disgust seemed to be pretty understood. They offered new boxes for what was still at the storage unit to transfer our items on site from the roach infested boxes to the fresh ones. They even offered to extend the time on our unit free of charge to transition out. Well, my husband had an eye procedure that I explained to the manager and we were not able to move heavy items for a few weeks. Upon returning today we found that they red locked our unit (for non payment). Frustrated I text messaged the manager (because we exchanged numbers when we discussed the roaches) asking what was going on and she claims to have been trying to contact me and that they need payment before we can access the unit. I replied by re-​explaining the situation and she just keeps texting basically saying it was our fault! I called customer service headquarters again and they read the notes on our account and not only confirmed that my version of the story checks out and was documented on my account but our contract was done wrong! The facility had a random phone number on the account and my name misspelled. This is likely why their attempts to get a hold of me failed! The level of unprofessionalism of the manager to continue text messaging to argue her point and not just call (which I’m not clear how she didn’t get a hold of me if she had my cell number) to explain the confusion amazes me. I pray headquarters will clear this up! But I would not recommend this facility due to their roach problem and their operational ethics are extremely poor.

This is a great storage facility at a great price At least 30% less than the other three storage facilities in the area. The storage area as well as the restrooms are always clean and well maintained. It has easy access with a coded gate for use from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.

I love this place! The girls in the office are super professional and very helpful. I’ve had a storage unit here for almost 6 months and have never ran into a problem. The facility stays open till 10 which I feel is an added bonus because you’re not scrambling to get your things in by 5 or 6 like every other storage facility in town.
