I was a little thrown off because it was slow in the afternoon on a Friday. We ordered a half chicken with two sides, potato salad and beans. It was a little over 9 bucks. We got flour tortillas and they gave us two pretty good sized salsas. It was our dinner and it was really good! The chicken is fall of the bone and the skin was full of flavor. The salsa is fresh and spicy the way we like it, though they do have a mild version as well. The potato salad is great. It’s mayo-​ey and creamy, not sweet mustardy or crunchy. The beans taste like you made them from scratch. The tortilla are thin and stay soft ! I had a good eating experience here and I know I’ll get a craving for it soon!

Well I used to be a regular customer until today. The chick Tony has working the front has tried to over charge me by $ 10, different time she forgot tortillas (kinda a big part to a meal) and lastly the third time in her presence she graced me with her attitude. Attitude is a deal breaker for me and will not return

chicken is always fantastic. service is horrible!!! just waited over two hours to get our food! granted, it was a large order (12 chickens,) but we called the order in at 3pm and were told it would be ready at 4pm. we watched people come and go for over an hour more before we got our food. the manager, tony, just said, ‘sorry, sometimes we get busy.” they weren’t that busy. you lost a long time customer, tony!!! we won’t be coming back!!!

Great deal, great food! It’s the quality of the food that makes it stand out. They don’t serve mystery meat covered in sauces. It’s good quality chicken and accompanying food. They’re quick too; perfect when you’re pressed for time at unch.

Food is good. You get your monies worth and you come away full. Potato salad is awesome and the chicken is flavorful. Inexpensive and good for your budget. All in all, nothing wrong with food or service. Restaurant is a bit outdated and thats it.

I love that the place is fast and cheaper then other places, however the last two times eating here I have had an upset stomach. I think it’s the sauce on the chicken maybe. I love there potato salad!

I would agree with other reviews, that the chicken is better than el pollo loco. But, my husband and I only tried this place once and never went back. Second time we went there to eat, sign said they closed at 8 but they turned us away at 7:40, noting they were closed for the night?
Now, every time we drive by that place we laugh and wonder if they are «closed» for the night.

The potato salad is he best i have tasted anywhere. I come just for a tub of it sometimes. The chicken is way better tha Poloo Loco. Great dinner meal options. The interior of the restauarant is hideous. Avoid eating there if you can. Everything in the kitchen seems clean and tidy.
I was observing one of the cooks in the back the other day and he was spending more time checking out the chicks near the counter than the meals he was preparing. He seemed like a weirdo but that weirdo made me some good roasted chicken.

I love Juan Pollo over just about any fast food restaurant. I don’t quite know how to explain the appeal but its just basic food done really well. The chicken is always cooked to perfection (falling off the bone). And the sides are consistently good. The potato salad is my favorite. Also, I have to mention the guy behind the counter. He must be the owner because he is always there. He is generous with little extras and just has a calm, pleasant demeanor.

Lunch special comes with chicken, rice, potato salad, tortillas, salsa and a drink for $ 5.99.
Can’t go wrong with John’s Chicken.

This is the best dang chicken anyplace. There are times when I am staying in San Diego that I’ve driven here to get their chicken.
Also the biggest bargain of the century, buy two chickens, get one free.
Juan Pollo is part of our Mexican Christmas eve meal every year.

Worst Juan Pollo location to date. (This will be my 5th location I’ve eaten at.)
As you travel further away from the 310 and into the 909, I feel like everything is cooked differently.
The roasted chicken meal tasted like it was boiled. The skin wasn’t crisp, yet the chicken was dry. The chicken quesadilla was equally soggy and not fried long enough. The potato salad and rice taste like the same as the other locations.
Will have to come back if we are in the area. Juan Pollo as a whole is freaking delicious and everyone has a bad day from time to time.

For the price you could pay at one of those chain restaurants, you get double the amount of food and twice the flavor.
