Just found out this place went out of business. Very sad. Frank was a great cook and host. I hope he is OK.

SADTOSAYTHATITISNOMORE. May be a chance they are relocating. I don’t know how this review stayed in my drafts for so long, because I visited quite frequently. This place is located right across the parking lot from my office and whenever I forgot lunch or needed something quick I would call over. It was just a couple weeks ago I noticed things being moved out, and it has made me sad that every chance I get to go and check on the owner, he doesn’t seem to be there. He was always nice and remembered me by name and always recommended something new that I hadn’t tried. The lunch specials were great buys for making your tummy full without emptying your pockets. Not sure what this location will become but it will be hard to compare to Little Chung King because of its homey vibe provided by location, set up and service. It was considered a hole-in-the-wall but was just what it needed to be.

Just heard they have closed the restaurant. Hate to see family businesses close. The best authentic Cantonese in town is China Chef, family owned and operated.

I finally found my hole in the wall! I’m originally from Monterey Park and I know good Chinese, Cantonese, Korean BBQ, Japanese foods and any other Asian dishes out there being raised on them… Moving here to Temecula left me disappointed UNTIL someone referred me here! Thank Goodness! I love that the owner LISTENSTOWHAT I LIKE and then makes it. It’s very old school and very inexpensive! I will continue to eat here and referring others! It feels like home to me. I LOVE the Egg Fu Yung with Beef, and everything else. Try it! The waiting period may take time as the owner seems to work solo, but if you’re patient and go in when not busy… It’s worth it.

For my family, simple Chinese food is comfort food. Pork chow mein, almond chicken, egg fu yung.. .it’s all made fresh and tastes yummy. Our family has been eating at Little Chung King for more than 20 years; and, we’re no longer treated as customers, we’ve become family. Thanks, Mr. Li, for being our go to place when we don’t feel like eating«out».

Work nearby here and my co workers always talk good about this place especially with the lunch special so I went to check it out. Pretty decent looking place and is maintained really well for only one person running the entire place. I got the lunch special with orange chicken and it’s surprising what $ 5 and some change can get you because it gets you a lot! Overall the orange chicken is good and has a different taste to it than other places I’ve visited which gives it its own unique flavor.

Okay here’s the deal. The place is old and outdated. That being said, if you want old school Chinese food prepared perfectly and served hot then this is the place. I hadn’t gone in years because it looked old. Boy was I wrong. Great food. Large portions. Very well priced. I’ll be back soon!!!

Don’t be surprised if you are the only people here, or if the food takes a while. The food is super fresh and hot and the portions are huge! Prices are really low too. This is a great little hole in the wall Chinese restaurant.

This review has been in my drafts for far too long… I had been wanting to try this place for quite a while since I noticed they have some lunch specials under $ 10 and I enjoy supporting family-run businesses. It was quite empty when I walked in around lunch, which was actually great for a change. The owner was very friendly and kept checking back on me to make sure I was okay. I ordered the beef and broccoli special… which I had to wait like 5 minutes for in order for it to cool down before I could really eat it. Overall, I thought it was a little bland, but some of their hot sauce helped it out a bit. I’d like to come back and give it another shot… so until then, I’m saving the last star!

Came in for lunch one man resturant? He the owner, the host, the waiter, the buss boy, and the cook also, never seen anything like it. But he was very friendly and happy. I ordered the sweet & sour pork lunch came with egg flower soup, egg roll, chicken in foil, white rice. Was good, not greatest thing I ever ate but good! All under 4 bucks, can’t beat it, the resturant is kind of old school Chinese place, the carpet kinda dirty not very fancy, but food was fresh and good! Please check it out I will be back to try other dishes. Hard working man doing his best to run his resturant

For what you get on the lunch special menu M-F and what you pay, I would be a total asinine jerk to go any lower than a four star. The food was actually pretty darn good too. I have never paid such a small amount of money for Chinese food that is made to order. Is it the best I have ever had? Nope. But it is way better than any Chinese place that has their icky stuff sitting out all day and then loads 3 lbs of the crap in a Styrofoam box and charge only 7 bucks or so for you to envy your own gluttony. The portions here are realistic. The guy(owner I guess) Is the epitome of your typical happy Asian guy on his own time(I can say this, my family is half… great drivers too as far as my sisters go, lol :) and by this I mean I swear he was the cook, the host, the server and happy as can be… poor guy, food took six years but was piping hot, tasty, sauces were good and I enjoyed my meal. I picked up one for a co-worker too… she was just as satisfied. Thanks Lil’ Chung King… will revisit for sure.

I love this place! It’s been open since 1990. You can’t beat the prices or food and I’ve been to China. It’s not much to look at but the environment is so relaxing and you can take your time. The food is fresh and priced extremely well. Love it! Again the food is fresh and delicious! They have beer and wine super cheap too. $ 3– 3.50 beers and 3.50 wine

This place is a hidden gem. The food was freshly made and delicious. We got so much we had to take it home. The cream cheese wontons were large and so good! The orange chicken had just the right amount of spices, mixed veggies were great. We would highly recommend this place to everyone. Best Chinese food place around!
