This place was amazing !! The food was very delicious and had a lot of flavor. I tried one of each skewers and came with rice and a yummy salad along with pita bread or your choice of Afghan bread, either one is really good. The sauces that they give out went well with the dishes and bread. The atmosphere was quiet but relaxing, the owners were friendly and attentive. Always a great experience!

Lunch items can be had for under $ 10 but we went for the dinner sized«combos» tonight that were $ 12.99 each. We did that because we were hungry and we wanted two skewers of meat instead of one which comes on the«plate.» Since we tend to get the same thing, my wife and I got a steak and chicken skewer that came with rice, salad, and some warm pita, yogurt sauce and chutni, plus we each got a garbanzo and potato chilled salad which was nice. In my previous review I referred to a «green sauce» which turns out to be the chutni which has a nice little heat kick. I drizzled yogurt sauce and chutni all over my meats and rice and it was quite delicious, freshly cooked to our order. Since they had run out of small drink cups they gave us large cups and only charged the price for the small fountain drink. We were happy with the taste and freshness of our food but with drinks, two combos came to $ 31 bucks. My wife was impressed with the food our first time in for lunch she was craving more.

Got to try the kobideh wrap and the lamb kabob and chicken kabob. All were very tasty, grilled to order. The portions are very small though — so I suggest adding extra skewers. As compared to the place I tried last week, sultan bakery, this place was cheaper and faster, but the portions are better there. I must say though that I enjoyed the food here better. I’ll be back!

Pretty good food. Except they don’t really give enough food for the prices they charge. But taste is definitely there.

Chicken and gyros wrap were both excellent. Great seasoning of the meats, portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and the sauces they give you on the side are both excellent. Seating space is somewhat limited, but overall this is a great place to pick up lunch from. I find it better and more reasonably priced than Luna Grill.

Came here around 2 pm on a Tuesday to satisfy my craving for kabob. I was a little skeptical at how good this place was going to be. Yet, reading the reviews for this place made me want to try it out. I have to say it was a great decision. I got the lamb kabob plate and it was awesome. The lamb was moist and well seasoned and the rice was amazing. The salad was fresh and the pita bread was standard. The sauce that came with the plate was so good. Literally would eat it with any meat plate. The owner was very nice and I felt comfortable eating here, despite me being the only one here. Definitely would come back.

Quiet and empty on a Sunday afternoon. Typical of a Temecula restaurant, so the place remained unassuming. They have both Greek and Afghan options, but the lamb plate was calling our names. Since my boyfriend and I had had breakfast a few hours before, we shared a plate. It was amazing! Plenty of food, but probably not enough to share if you’re hungry. The rice was cooked perfectly. I love when rice is done correctly, because rice can very easily be messed up and it becomes… worthless, for lack of a better description. The lamb kabob was also perfectly cooked, as well as wonderfully seasoned. It has everything I look for in meat plates. The side salad was good as well. I really liked the dressing they used on it, though I wished they had added more olives(there was only one). My boyfriend doesn’t like cucumbers but he ate them all and told me it was because he «didn’t want it to end». The family who was working all sat down to eat as we did, and they were very appreciative and wanted to make sure everything tasted good. This is for sure the only place I will come back for kabobs in Temecula. The other place I used to go to was okay, but fails in comparison to this one!

I don’t get inspired to Unilocal much but this place is incredible! It is the best gyro meals I’ve had. The service is great, you feel like you have been invited to their home.

The food here is fabulous, the spices are exotic and the food is fresh and made to order so be patient. The family that runs the restaurant is very nice. My husband and I both decided it’s our favorite place to eat in Temecula. The Gyro meat is amazing and the chatni is addictive! For something different and exotic try the Shor Nakhod cold soup, it’s fabulous!

The food here was delicious. I tried the combo plate(Chicken and Beef Kaboob). Really love the flavor of the sauces — Chatni –Thats the only reason I actually came! Only wish the combo plate had a little more afghan bread! It’s so delicious. The portions are small, but just enough to fill you up.

This food is so good. The lady who cooks is like a sweet mom. She smiles and comes to the table, and says«I gave you extra to try the chicken.» She is just a doll. The food is just like home cooking, and the prices are afordable. Two of us ate, out the door for 22.00 dollars, with fountain drinks.

This is a very hard place to review. On one hand the food is great. I mean geniunly good. Clean fresh flavors. Excellent quality. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Chutni was incredible. BUT… they need to understand a few things about their American audeince. 1. We eat. Alot. And as such the amount of meat served in an entrée needs to satisy. They dropped the ball on this one. 2. We don’t want to eat in 85 degree weather… turn the freaking air on. 3. Speed. even with no one in front of you you’re looking at 20 mins for your food. 4. If you run out of things… run to the store pls. I get that these are not fatal flaws overseas but here they are uncomfortable distractions I don’t need with my meal. Love the food. Not crazy about the rest.

I have had a lot of Middle Eastern food and enjoy it quite a lot. Skewers in Temecula is as authentic as you can get. The flavors were unbelievable. Both the entrees and desserts were made by people how really care about what they do and are incredibly delicious. From a value perspective, almost every entrée was under $ 10 a plate and the desserts were about $ 2.50 a piece. If your shopping in Temecula and enjoy this kind of food… give Skewers a try and you will love it!

This place is quaint with tables of 4 .not much room to put tables together but the food was delicious! Ordered the lamb & chicken kabob plates. Serving sizes are average, the service pretty fast & friendly, & the place is clean. It’s a great place to grab lunch or dinner… or like a casual date before or after a movie I think. The salads look great will have to try that next time. Will be back again for sure!

*4STARS* I was craving Middle Eastern food, so I proceeded to my go-to spot in the Temecula area, Pamir Kabob House. Then I realized, they’re closed on Mondays(I never did understand that, but ok). So, in an effort to get some Afgani food, I did a search for other restaurants in the area and to my surprise, this place popped up. Immediately, I noticed what a bad location this is in. It’s situated I’m the corner of a business center that gets very little foot traffic. It’s just so tucked away! If you’re not looking for it, you’ll never see it in passing. When I walked in, I didn’t have any real expectations. The décor was basic. «Typical lunch spot,» I thought. I looked at the menu. It’s not too extensive, Kabobs mainly, which is fine. I’d rather them master a few things than be average in many things. I ordered the Chicken Kabob meal. Hubby ordered the Lamb Kabob meal. The meals were very reasonably priced for what you get. My husband thought that their could have been more meat, but oh well. The wait was around 10 – 15 minutes. I recommend calling your order in ahead if you work nearby or might be in a bit of a hurry and are looking for takeout. Once I was served, I was pleasantly surprised! Nice portions, tender & well seasoned meat and very tasty. What more can you ask, right?

Ayayayay, I always feel terrible giving a low rating to establishments that just opened, but this joint needs to change a lot if they want to retain their customers. We came in for dinner around 5.30 pm on a Monday, the original place we wanted to go to did not serve dinner on Mondays so they recommended this place. A fast food afghan restaurant. We ordered our food, koobideh kabob and lamb kabob, the dinner portions are about $ 9.99 each plate. It took about 45 min for the food to get ready, which was fine, they were nice enough to let us try the nokh shor which was a mix of potatoes and chick peas, while we waited. When we went to get our drinks from the fountain we realized that there was something wrong with the machine and the drinks tastes bad. Instead of offering another drink or some bottled water or even our money back, we only received an apology, and went back to our table«drink-less». When our food finally came out we realized that other Unilocalers were right, plenty of rice comes with the meal but not enough meat. We had to order another round of meat just to be able to get full, 4 extra skewers $ 4 each, not realizing that it will take another 45 min for the meat to get ready. What’s worse we wanted more koobideh but they were out!!! Really??? We were the only customers and it was barely 6 pm!!! Big disappointment! The food was alright, the rice was great but the meats were slightly dry. As if they heard our comments about the long wait time, the next round of meat and chicken came out faster but to our dismay slightly undone. The chicken was pink in the middle, afraid of a salmonella outbreak we asked that they charbroil the chicken some more. Needless to say, I would not go back here, I am so sorry to say because I was very excited to try afghan food.
