I first went to another Sushi place but walked out on them before getting to order due to terrible service, so I decided to come here instead, and I’m glad I did! Ordered sashimi, cucumber salad, and 3 different rolls, all were great! Nice and fresh, taste was great, good quality. Edamame to start, and complimentary icecream to finish! Service was excellent! Love this place!

I always come here for Japanese food. Everything is so yummy. My personal favorite is the Christmas Roll. I just love seaweed! A cool thing they do is that they give you free ice cream at the end of your meal! It’s pretty good too. The place is perfect– right next to movies and shopping.

Short Version: Need a sushi place? Look no further! Long Version: If you’re looking for a solid sushi place that’s decently priced and has some awesome food, check out Sushi Boat! Wife and I went there to get some lunch while killing time for an oil change to be done(which took almost 3 hours) and we weren’t disappointed. They have a wide variety of food to pick from, so if you’re just in the mood for soup, they got you covered with ramen and udon. If you’re in the mood for something tangy and filling, they’ve got you covered with their Lemon Drop roll which is a set of California Rolls topped with thick cuts of Salmon and slices of lemon on top with spicy mayo drizzled on the side and a flower on top of these thin white noodles my wife loves so much but can never remember the name. They were even nice enough to give us this delicious little appetizer on the house which was this crunchy yet soft meaty fried thing drizzled with sauce and when the check came we were given two free small cups of raspberry ice cream. Seriously what more could you ask for from a sushi place? If there’s one negative thing that I would have to bring up it’s that the apple juice you can order doesn’t come with free refills.

My girlfriend and I came to this restaurant and boy did we have a great experience! They greeted us and seated us quickly. They have so many amazing choices but we took a chance had the dinner boxes. The food came out quickly and the food was fresh and delicious. I recommend coming here because you really do get your money’s worth. P.S «The oranges were awesome!» — my girlfriend lol

This has to be my favorite spot for sushi in town. Their sushi menu is VAST. I mean, it spans over 6 pages or so, but I also think most rolls are too similar. Anyways, back to the greatness that is Sushi Boat. I love that they give you free edamame in the beginning and a scoop of ice cream at the end. I don’t care who you are or how much income you make, we all can appreciate those free perks. Their popcorn chicken is bomb and is a must order every time I go. It’s always perfectly cooked and the sauce drizzles take it to another level. I also super appreciate the Japanese owner. If he’s in the house, he’s always roaming around and helping out. He checks in on customers and makes sure everything is running smoothly. Although, there are times when they get too busy or when he’s not around and the customer service takes a slight dip. Overall though, it’s a solid sushi spot and I’ll always come back for their amazing l popcorn chicken and free edamame/ice cream.

Great location. Sushi chef Matt is amazing and always full of energy. Really good quality sushi, even though I have had better it is on par with a few other great sushi places around here. Always clean, great staff, courteous and give recommendations. Whenever I am at the mall I love to stop in for a snack and sake. Keep it up Matt you are doing great!

My family and I have been coming here since my son was 9 months old. This was the sushi place to go with family and friends to celebrate birthdays. I love the friendly service and the delicious sushi and entrees. It’s now a treat to come here since I no longer live in Temecula. We always try to request the kiddie corner when eating with my son. It’s his favorite spot.

The food wasn’t good, the service wasn’t good, this restaurant did not take allergies seriously, and does not seem to care about customer service. My husband notified the server about his carrot allergy when he ordered a bento box. Upon the box arriving there were carrots in two different places of the bento box. We had to ask for utensils and items that normally are on the table. The service was slow. I ordered two rolls, and received one when all the food was brought to the table. I ate it and figured they had forgotten about my second roll(no one let me know it was on it’s way) which I was fine with since I was already full. At the very end of the meal they brought out the second roll which wasn’t good. I told them I didn’t want the roll and had only taken one bite. They said they could not take back the roll. This was one of the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time, do not recommend.

Poor service and mediocre food. I’ll start off by saying that I ordered the sushi combo which includes 10 pieces of sushi. When it arrived I was given a plate with 8 pieces and when I asked for the other two our server, Claudia, responded by saying«I’m forgot to tell you but we don’t have that.» Not to mention that the sushi combo is supposed to be a chefs choice(not mentioned on the menu) yet she still continued to take my order. Upon her god awful service, she forgot to add items to the receipt and ended up bringing out two more copies but asked ANOTHER server to do so. Never received any apology from her personally. We had another server come back every time after Claudia realized she messed up, and I will say she was very good. We even gave her her own tip. Now for the other food. The other members of the table ordered shrimp & vegetable tempura and tonkatsu. Saying the tempura batter was soggy would be the height of understatement. Not crunchy whatsoever. And as for the tonkatsu? If you’ve ever had a well done steak that was the texture of it. Will not come back again and will deter anyone from going if asked if it is a good choice for dinner. So bad that I’m writing this from the restaurant, couldn’t even wait until later. Would’ve been 1 star if not for the udon saving the day and the other server who helped out.

I love sushi boat. I’ve been coming here for about 7 years since I was 15 and its still as amazing. The quality of food is delicious and their amount of rolls is amazing. They’re all so creative and yummy. The service is really good too! As soon as my drink is empty a server is promptly taking it for a refill. Plus I love the free edamame and ice cream! The owner is super nice and sweet! Love this place. My favorite sushi place and I eat sushi about once a week!

Just finish having dinner here and it was such a great experience! Great service and food was affordable and tasty! We ordered 2 orders of salmon sushi. One order comes with 2 pieces for $ 3.95. It was a big piece of salmon and little rice but the salmon tasted alright, We had better salmon. We also ordered dragon roll. Very good and the presentation looks pretty. Inside had shrimp tempura with cucumber and asparagus. Outside was eel and avocado. Lastly, beef udon noodles. This took a while for it to Come. This was worth the wait! The birth was so flavorful and no trace of oil in it! Not too salty just very tasty! Good amount of beef in the noodles. The udon itself tasted very good. I thin they might have made it fresh on the house since it was slurping good! You also get free ice cream at the end of the meal. Glad we found this place on Unilocal.Located outside the mall next to CPK and the movie theaters are right there. 10% off your bill for dinner and movie. I think you just have to show them you movie tickets.

I had lunch there today… I’m very very picky about my sushi(I lived in Japan for 3 years) I have to say this place is so yummy! And very quick with the food… The wasabi was perfectly spicey and the kids meal was super cute, it comes in a boat… Loved the sticky rice… The complimentary edamame and ice cream for dessert was the best beginning and ending to my meal… Really made me miss Japan… I heard them greet some guests as they were coming in which is usually done in Japanese custom when people come in and leave… I will be coming back for more yummy sushi… The prices aren’t too bad… I definitely miss my 100 yen sushi tho

My husband and I moved to temecula a year ago. It was hard finding a good sushi place since we’re new to the area. This was our third place and we were about to give up finding the right one. The service was friendly and overall just great! The food was delicious! Everything was fresh. Presentation was nice. We will definitely be coming back. Also the free ice cream was tasty(according to my husband, I’m allergic to strawberry).

Went here for the first time tonight. It was really good! We sat at the sushi bar, where we watched Matt prepare our sushi rolls. Everything was awesome and the staff members are very friendly. The wait wasn’t bad at all either. Our bill was about $ 10 less than some of the other places we’ve gone, but the rolls were bigger than the others. Great service, atmosphere, servings and price. We will definitely go back again.

I wish I could say anything positive about the food, only because I don’t want to offend the staff or the owner as they were extremely kind. The service was actually the best we have had anywhere, unfortunately that’s where it stopped. All the fish has been pre cut and layed in the refrigerated display case like you would expect at a Subway sandwich shop. Rolls were better, but had a theme of pre made crab filling centers topped with the pre cut sushi. Also should note the rolls were all heavily over done with fried and heavily dressed toppings in crazy American style fatty fashion. Chicken teriyaki was no better, same frozen bag you would get at Trader Joe’s. It seems being in or near the mall and across from the theatre they are catering to a crowd that doesn’t know the difference and doesn’t mind the McDonalds /hot dog on a stick type of cuisine(and the great reviews I read substantiate this). If you like it, that’s great because as I mentioned, the owner and staff are awesome and need the business. If your reading this because you are a fan of good sushi or possibly from Orange County, I just saved you from making a big mistake. Eat up Temecula, the staff needs you!

I visited Saturday at noon. Place is empty and dark, stench of chlorine permeates the room. I like the décor, wood and Samurai armor, but Britney Spears blasting in full volume ruins the whole atmosphere. I ordered miso soup to start with, it never arrived. Now to the food itself: Rice is falling apart, not sticky enough. Avocado is with dark spots, not well picked. Salmon is OK, Costco grade. Overall 3 out of 5 for food, minus 1 star for missing miso soup.

I met up with a friend for lunch here. The location is a bit odd for someone that has never been to this mall but it is located in between the mall, in a section that you are able to drive thru. It’s the holiday season so the mall was packed, I was lucky enough to find parking in the first floor of the parking structure. The sushi place is small but there weren’t many people dining. I like the small and intimate feeling of the restaurant. Their menu is very large and has a wide selection to please anyone. My friend is a simple california roll type of girl but I like some adventure in my life. We were both pleased with our selection. The best part about this place is that they offer complimentary ice cream. I’ll be back again, next time I’ll make sure to take my husband.

Sushi boat is great! I’ve been coming here for years in Temecula and they’ve got pretty decent sushi. The place is clean and staff is nice. I like how you get comp edamame right off the bat and free ice cream after your meal, that’s always a plus! But it’s pretty average. It’s definitely not the best sushi but it’s good and does the trick. :)

My wife doesn’t really like sushi or fish in general, but she agreed to have lunch here with me since the owner had given her a $ 5 certificate if she spent over $ 20 :) We walked in, were seated immediately and had some time to look over their extensive menu. I ordered the 3 item dinner plate with chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, and avocado roll while my wife ordered more chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura, and a California roll. I thought they were both reasonably priced at about $ 12 per order. And it even came with ice cream at the end!!! Our waitress was really nice and took really good care of us… the owner himself also came over and said hello to wife and thanked her for finally coming in. Overall, this place is solid and we can’t wait to come back again sometime!

This place never disappoints. We’re on a first name basis here. Been coming here for years. They make sure that we are seated within 10 minutes, even on their busy days. Food is great, so are their prices. what else can you ask for? Make sure to try their complimentary ice cream at the end of your meal. Yum.
