Walker Painting

I have been in the housing rental business for many years and know how hard it is to find a reliable contractor. We have our own crew and do not use outside subs. However I am regularly asked for referrals to do repair work etc… to which I am often reluctant to give. As you know, when you give a referral and they do a bad job, it reflects on you.
Nick Walker is one of the few contractors I feel comfortable referring. I recently referred Nick to remodel & paint a bathroom for a good friend of mine. At the end of the job they not only were happy with the job he did, but referred him on to one of their friends. He is def one of the good guys.

My wife and I are first time home owners in Orange County, I am originally from north San Diego county. And heard about Walker paint from a good friend. I couldn’t be happier with the level of quality and customer service I received from Nick and his crew. Not only did they work with my tight deadline to paint before I moved in they completed my condo in a only a days work which was ahead of schedule. I didn’t think when I called for my free estimate that he would be able to work with in my budget, especially being a riverside county based company, but his bid beat out a couple other local companies in my area. Value plus the recommendation from a friend… Walker paint was not only an easy choice it was the best choice.

Our experience with Walker Painting in Temecula was horrible. I would never recommend them to anyone.
They missed several spots even AFTER we put the little pieces of blue tape around to identify the areas missed. They seem to want to cut corners; for example, I caught them trying to get a brush between my medicine cabinets and the large mirrors in our bathroom (I had to tell them «why wouldn’t you just remove the two screws and take the cabinet off?). They finally did, but got paint on the mirrors before doing it the right way.
Also, they didn’t do a good job of covering furniture and other items in the house, so they ended up getting paint on my guitar amplifier, spots of paint on some of our furniture and nice hardwood floors due to the paint roller flinging paint all over.
Not only did they get paint on our vanity lights in the bathroom, they also managed to get paint on the chandelier over our staircase.
They also LOST numerous screws that hold on the light switch and plug face plates because they didn’t do a good job of keeping them together in a single box or cup. In fact, they left the face plate off the power plug behind my bed, which I believe is a fire hazard! That really ticks me off because (to me) it shows they deliberately tried to hide the fact they lost a faceplate and tried to bury it behind the bed rather than fess up and offer to buy a new one (they probably cost no more than $ 3 at Home Depot).
I could go on and on, but I won’t. I think they are just a lazy crew and therefore you get mediocre results.

After getting bids and interviewing 6 different companies to paint our first house, my husband and I decided on Walker Painting. They were right in the middle of the bids but were running a coupon in a local mailer for $ 250 off any complete paint job which made their bid only $ 25 more than the lowest. We were very comfortable with Nick and he was very honest with the work that would be done. They were able to book us in right when we needed them too to fit our schedule. Dave and Cory were our painters and their worked so tirelessly and the 100 degree heat to make our home look so beautiful! Our home had not been painted since it’s original build in 1998 and now is truly the prettiest on the block. As first time homeowners Walker Painting enabled us to showcase the pride we have in our home by adding so much curb appeal. Huge thanks to Cory & Dave for being here 4 days straight 8 – 4 working so hard! Nick stopped by at least 3 of the days to check on the work and check in with me and how I was liking it as well! Seriously can not thank you gentleman enough!!! Would recommend them to EVERYONE!!!
