Firestone Complete Auto Care

Brought in my car for an oil change and my oil light came on as soon as I left the parking lot. I checked it and they did not put in enough oil. They were friendly but I would rather deal with a rude competent mechanic than a friendly idiot.

I went to buy a battery and the guy quoted me a price of $ 199 for a battery? More over he tried to sell me stuff that I did not need. For example, he said that I needed something to mount the cables. I did not have it before, why would I need it now? Why are all auto places like this?
Can’t trust them. My advise, buyer beware !

$ 26 dollar oil change and great great customer service. John really takes good care of that place and makes sure all customers are satisfied. I will most likely keep coming here for my oil changes.
Also the place is located next to a few stores so I didn’t have to sit in a waiting room for an hour. Overall, very satisfied!

Got my tires here last time and got them replaced today. Great service from all of the staff. Helpful at recommending things but not pushy when I said I didn’t want to add anything today. Great price, great service, and quick too!

John, Joe and the crew at Firestone are absolutely great. I have been using them for 10 years and found them to be fast and efficient and reasonably priced. Went there for new tires and that all was fine and good then my check engine light came on. They wanted to charge me over $ 300 just to do a diagnostic on it. A friend told me about another place that I went to another place that diagnosed and fixed it for less.

John and the crew are phenomenal and have always been fair in their pricing and always communicate any issues with me while my car is being worked on. 5 stars!

Every Time I come with an appointment they never touch my car until 30 – 50 minutes later. I had my car checked and they said I needed my engine mounted and my serpentine belt replaced. Took it somewhere else. Turns out my serpentine belt didn’t need to be replaced.
When the other location had it repaired it ran smoother than ever before!!!
Rates here seem higher than other places. They quoted me almost $ 1000. Meanwhile the other location was so happy to do it at $ 500.
I feel as if this place is dishonest, so I will probably not be coming here again. I had all 4 tires replaced here. Makes me wonder if I even needed it…
Their WIFI never works and you get poor cell service in this building… GOOD LUCK WAITING!

I received great service today from John at the Tempe location (930 E Baseline Rd). I will admit that I came in a little frustrated because I keep having to replace the tires I purchased less than a year ago, with less than 20k miles that have a 40,000 mile warranty. I asked to speak to a manager and John rose to the occasion. He listened to my concerns patiently and without attitude, explained what I needed to do on my end to ensure the warranty is not voided out (schedule wheel alignment every 6k) and serviced me quickly. I would definately come back to this FireStone because I appreciate John’s honesty and willingness to listen to my concerns.

Got an alignment and oil change. Got some old struts replaced. Great service and good price. Thanks John

Came in without an appointment to get my oil changed and Kyle advised it would take about an hour or so since I didn’t have an appt; however, they got it done in less than an hour! I also had a $ 10 off coupon but he took the liberty to apply the discount before I even told him I had it. They were quick, clean and professional.

After communicating more thoroughly with them they were very welcoming the second time I went in to speak with them and scheduled me for another appointment immediately. I really appreciated this additionally they apologized for any and all inconveniences it may have caused and provided me with a discount on my purchase. I greatly appreciated the manner in which they handled the situation!

The mechanics are awesome and very helpful, they don’t bullshit you and are honest. Located right across the street from where I live, so if I need to leave my car there longer than expected, I can walk home and take a nap! 5 stars!

Great service! Had a flat tire and called in. Mark at the Tempe location was so helpful and efficient on the phone. He got me in that day and received all new tires by the end of the day. Great staff and friendly service! Even though the staff was busy, everyone received great service and welcoming conversation while waiting. Even while I was waiting on my car to get finished, Mark recognized his staff and complimented them throughout the wait. I’ve had my car serviced at this location before and will definitely come back! Keep up the great work, Mark and staff!

Everyone in Firestone was friendly and welcoming. Each employee who walked in, and saw me waiting greeted me, genuinely. My 2 tires were replaced in an hour and I was extremely satisfied with my service.

They did a thorough A/​C check and trip check/​overall vehicle inspection, plus put the correct amount of air in my tires, all for $ 10.

Went to this shop recently and had them check a smell that I thought was coming from my car. Well, they gave me an estimate of about $ 750 to replace my valve cover gaskets. I didn’t have them do the job and paid the $ 20 for the inspection. After driving away I realized the tech took my glove compartment out to check the air filter, but then he never put it back, which upset me. I ended up driving back later and they immediately put it back in.
I ended up going to Highland Auto in Chandler (they are the best!!!) and they did the job for only $ 376!

Awful, I have not been in this place since they moved into the new facility. Customer service is terrible. They once rolled down my window after I had asked them not to or the window would get stuck. They decided to roll down my window anyway and guess what happened… it got stuck! The mechanics pretended to not notice me pulling my window until I approached them and asked why?
When I asked them to fix my window, they informed me that i would have to pay for them to fix the window, even though they did what I asked them not to do.
I also had my motor mounts fixed at this place when a screw had popped out of the motor mount they had repaired in less than two months. They refused to replace the screw even though they were at fault again.
There is more, but i am tired of typing.
This place is horrible, too bad I can not give them a half a star.

I called Firestone today to see how busy they were for an oil change and tire rotation, alignment and balance. They said the were not busy and to come in. I arrived and was greeted by Matt. I told him what I needed and he printed out a work order. However, I forgot to tell him that I needed high mileage oil until after he had printed the work order. My mistake. He tried to fix it but ended up printing another work order that indicated the high mileage oil. They said it would be about an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes so I walked across the street to a local restaurant.
About an hour later, I received a call that my car was complete. I went back and was greeted by Craig M. who said he had my ticket ready. I asked if my car had the high mileage oil. On the sheet that Craig had, he said that it didn’t have the high mileage oil change done but then Matt said that he had attached a sheet to it that said it was supposed to have it. They conferred and then went to the technician in the work area and came back and said that it had the high mile oil.
So Craig handed my work order to Matt who finished ringing me up. The amount came to approx. $ 23 but then after I had swiped my card and was signing to show that I had paid, I noticed that the work order was for a completely different customer! I ended up paying for someone else’s oil change. I told Matt that the customer listed at the top was not me and he went to get Craig to fix the issue. Craig returned and told me that it was ok and it would be taken care of. I asked if they were going to give me a refund for the amount to my card since I had paid for someone else’s work that was done. Craig then somewhat condescendingly explained that I paid $ 23 and I was supposed to be charged around $ 45 dollars so he just wanted to give it to me for the lower price. He didn’t want to give me a refund. I understood his explanation but still wanted a receipt as proof of the services that I had done to my car today. He printed out a copy of the work order that says in big letters «THIS IS NOT AN INVOICE» at the bottom. I appreciate his willingness to cut me a deal since it was their mistakes all along, but I am going to watch my debit card bank statement to make sure that I am not charged any further amounts. I also want to make sure that later on down the road, they don’t come back saying that I have an outstanding balance.
I am also a little skeptical that they did the lifetime rotation, balance and alignment since they had made so many mistakes and my car was done much quicker than promised. I’m not complaining but I’m glad that I didn’t need anything more than an oil change.

Firestone was my go to auto shop for 2 years but I’ve gotten sick of their upselling and pressure tactics.
The last straw came when they wouldn’t rotate the Michelin 100,000 tires I had with lifetime wheel balancing and rotating. Apparently there was «too little tread» and they advised me to replace all 4 tires asap. (While also dropping that they had a promotion for tires and steering me towards some $ 400 ones)
I took my car to Hon-​Man and they told me that my tires had some typical cracking from the AZ heat but was otherwise fine.
I used to go for their $ 14.99 oil change and service check but I’d rather spend $ 29.99 at Hon-​Man to get an accurate diagnosis. This isn’t an isolated incident either, everytime I’ve come to a Firestone they print out a listing of «urgent» repairs your car needs.
If you love Jiffy Lube scare tactics your gonna love the treatment you get at Firestone who seem to only look to pad their monthly billing reports. If you want an honest reliable mechanic that actually passes on the savings to the end customer go find a nice shop like the Honda servicing Hon-​Man.
