** Edit: I would like to provide proof that my review is not false as Jen suggested. Her photo is edited, you can tell by the background and the color of my shirt. Here is a time stamped photo to prove it wasn’t taken recently; I have gotten my hair fixed since then. I have also provided a bank statement to prove it was taken when the services were performed.
I’m honestly shocked to see that this place has gotten such a high rating. Please, save yourself some trouble and DO NOT go here. Jen single handedly ruined my hair by over bleaching it. I was trying to go silver and I told her — If my hair is not healthy enough, do not bleach it. But she did anyways, and it turned out cotton candy blue! Not only was it the wrong color, but it it was so chemically damaged that it was 3 different lengths on the ends, and the top layer of my hair broke off. I had to cut 5 inches of damages hair off and now have to get it cut every 6 weeks until all the dead hair is gone. The worst part about it is that she didn’t even give me a refund. She offered to fix it but made it way worse instead. It was so bad that other hair dressers were absolutely shocked and recommended that I take her to small claims court, which I am still considering. She also posted an edited photo of my hair on instagram which was absolutely misleading and it looked nothing like that in real life.
Please, choose another salon.

I purposely waited a couple weeks after my visit to write this review, just to see how I would feel about my hair after a little time. Honestly, I’m a tad disappointed. This was the first time I’d been here and I was lucky enough to use a Groupon (full highlights with a cut & style). They got me in ASAP for an appointment, which I actually made on Facebook (very cool). I saw Kristin for my appointment– she was very sweet! I worked at a salon & spa for quite some time, so for what I wanted, I knew what was required. I wanted to dye my hair with fashion colors (different shades of blues and purples– for those who are familiar with hair and fashion colors, Guy Tang is the master at this and I’ve seen many of his techniques used). In order to do fashion colors on my hair, a lot of bleaching is required, which I was fully prepared for because my hair is dark and otherwise wouldn’t hold the different colors in my hair. Instead of bleaching the areas I asked for, she just put foils of bleach in my hair. They were very thin strands of hair as if I was going for some natural effect (which I definitely wasn’t). Once all was said and done, my hair was very dark and it was extremely hard to see the different colors in my hair. Since I’m familiar with hair dye and techniques, I know Pravana colors tend to fade. At this point, I have almost no purple in my hair anymore (only after about 3 weeks). Granted, I can’t blame Kristin for that, but the fact that my color is now uneven is extremely frustrating. To top it off, I was going through my hair and noticed there was a lot of uneven hair in terms of the cut. Because I worked at a salon & spa in the past, I might have high standards, but I’m aware of what bleach does to hair. If I ask for something specific, I would love for it to be done. I know my hair better than anyone and am aware of how to properly care for it. Unfortunately, I felt like Kristin somewhat disregarded what I wanted and almost tried to make it easier for herself.
Other than the actual experience of my hair, this place is very cute. The owner Jen is very cool and if you want something edgy and modern (like what I was trying to go for) I would suggest going to Jen.

So I found a Groupon for HelloGorgeous and figured I would give it a try. I have super thin/​fine hair and often run into trouble with new people touching it.
I met with Nav and she did an amazing job. The color looks natural, she trimmed it up and helped fix a butcher job I previously had gotten.
I’ll definitely be going back to Nav. For price and quality, you can’t beat it. I already got a quote from her for the next trip and lucky for me that they price by a person’s hair, not necessarily by service. :)

Jen did my hair exactly as I requested, after waiting for trips to Seattle each time I needed a haircut I was so happy to find a new stylist in AZ. Highly recommend

I’ve been going to Jen for over a year now. prior to this, I would randomly go to different salons and hair-​cutty places. or worse, I’d cut my own hair. But Jen made me realize it’s time to be a grown up without feeling like a stuffy old lady and go to one person to take care of my hair. She and her entire staff are fantastic. It’s like I’ve know her forever, and she makes you feel right at home. Plus she isn’t afraid to help you get creative. (I currently have rainbow hair) She also will let you know when something might be too much, and help you rework it to work best for you.
Everytime I’ve left Jen’s, I’ve had the biggest smile on my face.

I’ve lived in Tempe for a long time, and I haven’t really found a salon that I love yet. I’ve gone off of Groupons and friends’ recommendations and still haven’t been able to find a salon that isn’t super stuffy and doesn’t completely overcharge me.
I have been to HelloGorgeous Salon twice now. I initially went in with a Groupon (just like almost everyone else), and unlike a lot of places, they were really nice and almost excited about my Groupon. Because I needed quite a bit of color correction in my hair, I was there for over four hours in my first visit. Kristen was a amazing; she was super patient, and we got along really well. My color and cut turned out awesome, and they were really reasonable with prices!
I just got back from my second visit, and I can say that I have found my new go-​to salon. I am so happy with the color, and I really feel like Kristen puts a lot of care and attention into getting my hair how I want it.
I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Went to this salon for the first time today, I definitely plan to go back, and I recommend it to others! I had in mind to get a fun new look, and I left with everything I asked for/​was hoping for, with both the cut and color. I had medium brown hair (mostly my natural color…) and got a dark chocolate color all over, with purple highlights. The highlights look amazing, and I love the color. I really felt like my stylist (Jen) gave attention to detail and did a high-​quality job. The atmosphere was friendly, and I felt cared for while I was there. Thank you girls for a great experience!

Chance up a Groupon deal for a haircut, full highlights for a very good price. Basing from the very good reviews, bought it. It didn’t disappoint me. Jen was so good. I didn’t get the exact color I want but Jen gave me full explanation of what color is best. I will surely refer them to my friends and will definitely be back again.

I originally posted a review for HelloGorgeous that I felt accurately described my experience there but, I admit, was a bit harsh. I was unhappy with my color and cut that I received. The owner, Jen, reached out to me personally to make amends for the situation, which I do appreciate. I won’t be returning to HelloGorgeous, but I can say that the owner cares about the clients, and I recommend that you ask for her, or pay close attention the work that is done to your hair if you have another stylist.

I just moved to the Phoenix area and it’s never a fun time finding a new hair stylist until this time. The salon had a groupon deal going and had raving reviews so I thought what the heck! Jen cut my hair way better than I expected and wanted it! She is a hair guru! Not only did she do an awesome job on my hair, she was easy to talk to and helped me with my knowledge of the Phoenix area. I’m so glad to have found my new salon!!!

I had a groupon for a haircut, partial highlights, and blow-​dry (only $ 42) and was looking forward to visiting helloGorgeous because of all the positive reviews. The salon is located in a nondescript building on Jentilly Lane (it is in a beige building with four linked sections, A-​D; parking is all around the building). Initially, I wasn’t terribly impressed with the interior of the salon as I was expecting something more ‘posh,’ but after soaking in the hipster-​meets-​grunge vibe, the décor grew on me. The receptionist was quite nice and offered me a water upon entering. My stylist was Jen and at first, she was a bit gruff, but after 10 minutes or so, was much more chatty. From our conversation, I learned that the salon has only been around for a year and a half or so and it seems like it has a loyal following.
My experience at helloGorgeous lasted 2 hours and I am very happy with the result. I wanted to get darker highlights and a trim and Jen more than delivered. She suggested a mid-​tone caramel highlight and a longer bang because she «does not recommend hair on the face in the summer!» Good point. My hair looks great, feels fabulous, and was definitely worth the groupon. I look forward to my next visit.

I rarely leave reviews but I was so impressed with this place! I have very dark coarse hair and Kristen did such a good job with my partial and balayage highlights! It looks sun kissed. Kristen took her time and made sure I was completely satisfied. I will definitely be coming back!

Seriously one of the best salons I have ever been to. I was able to take my child there and not have to worry about her having nothing to do. Jennifer is amazing and what she did to my hair is even better. I keep getting compliments about it.

Jen is absolutely amazing. She did a wonderful job on my hair. I am so pleased with how it came out I could not be happier. I will be coming back to her anytime my hair needs done. Jennifer did a great job!!! I decided to go to her when I saw she had a groupon for $ 69 for haircut, full highlight, deep conditioning treatment, and blow out! How could I pass that up?!
I ended up going in and getting a highlight, lowlight, and haircut by her and love the end result! Much needed! Thanks Jen for giving my hair a much needed makeover

Must say I love my haircut I got from Jen. She did it perfect & I feel great! I would give her 5 stars but she was honestly kind rude. Didn’t smile at me & once she got done with my haircut she started texting on her phone & didn’t look up to say thank you when she took my money.
I will be returning to her again though simply because she gave a great haircut.
