Lion Tempe Apartments

This place is a nightmare!
You think you’re getting a good deal but you’re not.
Overpriced. Waayy overpriced.
With no notice they want in to do upgrades on the apartment ON MOTHERS DAY. First thing in the morning when I wanted to be sleeping in.
AC always broken. Apparently fixing the AC when it was 106 degrees is not something you should call the emergency maintenance line for. Management actually emailed me about calling about my AC when was 106 that day. Never mind that I have a baby in the house or anything.
Literally had to call about the AC 8 times so far…
On the first day I moved in a GIANT sewer roach fell from those pretty vaulted ceilings.
You have to pay for covered parking.
You have to pay to use the gym (that’s not that good.)
You do not always get what you pay for sometimes you pay way to much.
The water pressure is worse than a cheap motel.
The grout is not sealed. It is impossible to clean and flakes off.
The property has a dog poop and pee problem. It’s everywhere.
Also, check out the comment that Unilocal says isn’t recommended it’s by Derrick R. It is so SO SO true.

These apartments are just okay. I would say that they were nice but that was before all of the problems i have had since moving here. The manager is very hard to get in contact with, the maintenance man takes FOREVER on repairs, and things don’t work around here half the time, plus everything on the property includes an extra charge! My dryer has been broken, the oven is broken, the sliding glass door is broken, and my window doesn’t even have a screen, for months no one seems to care to fix these things regardless of my work requests and calls. Parking and access to the gym are both extra charges on top of a overpriced rent on an apartment with broken appliances it wasn’t even cable or internet ready! wow It seems like to me they do not care about their tenants and really aren’t running that great of a business.
the pros are: pets allowed, gated (sometimes), small community, month to month, and the townhouse format (upstairs downstairs)

We, me my boyfriend and our puppy, lived at Lion Tempe Apartments for the last seven months and loved it! They are a great company to deal with and rent from. Always understanding and especially friendly. Angie was amazing, nicest property manager I’ve ever met. They were very understanding when we wanted to extend our lease, and we never had any issues. I would encourage anyone to rent here, it’s a great little community with great features and great neighbors.
