Paul’s Ace Hardware Rural & Broadway

Service was okay, but the selection was pretty grim in comparison to other Ace Hardware stores I have been to. I came in looking for paint, and a lot of shelves were empty of product. For some reason they didn’t carry the same paints that the other Ace Hardware’s do, and the selection was pretty small. Save time jumping from stores and go to any other Ace in the valley if you are looking to buy paint.

So, this is my neighborhood hardware store and i come here for everything. Everyone is always helpful and ready to give suggestions with products.
But, today, I want to express my gratitude for everyone that helped me out. My key broke in my deadbolt at home. Luckily, i was able to fish out the broken piece of key from the lock and whisked my son back into the car to see if Ace could do anything for me and my broken house key.
Not only were they able to duplicate it for me, but i had no money on me (since my wallet was locked in my house) and they helped me out by waving the key cost.
I cannot properly express how thankful I am at this moment.
I am glad to call this store My Ace.

Great customer service. Truly some of the friendliest staff I’ve encountered (Maybe in part due to the boss checking up on all the staff today? Still, people here seemed genuinely friendly). They have a wide variety of tools, bbq accessories, gardening supplies, and general home goods. Making duplicate keys here is also easy. I signed up for their rewards program today which got me $ 5 off my purchase!

THIS STORE IS GREAT! They truly have all your basic hardware needs, free popcorn upon arrival if you’re hungry! And the customers service is fast, helpful and effective. The paint department was able to do a custom batch so that my house could all match and didn’t charge us extra! Thanks again, I’ll be returning when I need anything hardware related!

Full disclosure, this review is based 100% on service here. I shop at this Ace Hardware as much as possibly can. I love to support local business and the employees here are always really friendly and outgoing. I’m not a «do-​it-​yourselfer» and it is always such a nice experience when I am in here and ask a question. Unlike when I go into other stores and get brushed off for not knowing hardware terminology, etc., I am treated so nicely and with respect here. The associates always answer all of my questions and walk me to where I need to go.

Awesome small-​town style service! Tim and Ryan went out of their way to help me with a fairly inexpensive part. Come here instead of the big boxes. You will be glad you did!

I have been in the store twice in the last week and am very impressed by all the staff’s helpfulness and friendliness. They go out of their way to help customers find exactly what they need. They also know their products.

Love this store they are always so helpful and someone is always around to help. If I sign up for one of their frequent shopper cards they are always sending a $ 5 off coupon.

Awful service here. Would not honor a coupon for propane in December, even though the fine print allowed it. I let that pass, but yesterday they hassled me over a return with an Ace backed guarantee. Cashier said «if we do anything would you want a refund or an exchange?» That ticked me off — «if»? Had to get 2 other people involved before a manager took one look at the receipt at the product and refunded. Why did it take that level when I had a receipt and the product with the guarantee plainly printed on the label? Cashier told person in front of me that this location is closing– good riddance. Update — manager responded, said they are not closing. Maybe he should also let his staff know, as they are telling people that ASU bought up the strip mall and is running everyone out.

Homeco Ace has great manager special buys. I buy a lot of things for my workers at this store– gloves, GoJo, paper towels, and even replacement parts for the machinery we work on. I always go to Ace for items i need for home! There is always an Ace worker around to point me in the right direction if I can’t find what I am looking for. I prefer Ace over the big box stores, it gives me personal satisfaction to know that my money is helping a local owner!

I love this store. They are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. As a female, I’ve been treated poorly in several hardware stores. But they have never talked down to me here. Whether I’m looking for painting advice, plumbing advice, or help finding a specialty light bulb, the staff has always been knowledgeable. And I love how it doesn’t take twenty minutes to walk across the store.

Close to home, I often go here for a last minute item. Or to make extra keys in case I lose mine again. Sometimes my kids and I go there just to look around (secretly, it’s for the freshly popped-​popcorn). Either way, the staff is always pleasant and helpful. Prices are fair as long as the item falls within the «Hardware» category or if you desperately need something. I would not buy toilet paper there.

Fast, friendly service. Opens at 7am. Hard to find items mysteriously show up here. Things you wouldn’t expect show up here. For example, I had been looking for a hand a body lotion that was free of alcohol and petroleum products for my eczema as recommended by my dermatologist. Tried drug stores, health food stores, vitamin stores, beauty stores and searched online. Even Aveno’s eczema cream has alcohol. Guess where I finally found what I was looking for – ACE HARDWARE. «Bonnie’s Balms: Face and Body Hydration» sold only through hardware stores (according to their web page).
One year I was looking for a turkey baster in July (common in November due to Thanksgiving). Grocery and dollar stores did not have any. ACE hardware had it when no one else anticipated cooking turkeys in July.
Anyway, today’s visit was to find an insecticide sprayer for my husband. They had 4 different styles and prices. I was in and out in about 7 minutes with a FREE calendar to boot!
They also offer FREE popcorn for customers. Let’s see a big box hardware store do that!
