Came in with a few of my girls on our pre evening girls date! It was pretty quiet and the girl that helped us wasn’t really friendly which is why I didn’t give them a 5 star. Also because the prices are pretty high for ice cream that’s next to a college campus! Besides that the ice cream was delicious best mint ice cream I’ve had in a while I recommend it with chocolate ice cream and brownies!

0 flavour, high priced for meager servings. Welcome to mill street… Not recommended at all. The salted Carmel was a white flavorless substance… Save your money, go to Scottsdale and get gelato at the mall.

I took my dog for a walk on Mill the other night and we stopped at Sparky’s for ice cream. The counter staff didn’t bat an eye that my basset hound was at my side. I got the French vanilla ice cream with raspberries. It was delicious. My dog enjoyed licking the bowl when I was done.

Mojo Yogurt closed so we came here instead. The guy was nice and offered us free samples. I tried the dark chocolate raspberry habanero and I tasted each flavor in order, it was neat. I couldn’t have handled it in a larger size though. Ended up getting chocolate with peanut butter cups in a waffle bowl and it was just okay. The ice cream tastes like vanilla and the waffle could’ve been crunchier. They had some it interesting flavor specials and I think I would’ve enjoyed a different flavor or sorbet better.

First time here me and my wife wanted a new ice cream spot near the house, from outside i thought it wud b a old school type diner or have old mill feel but the ice cream display case mirrors Cold stone and they have mix in’s along with the ice block same as cold stone as well, just has more flavors. There ice cream was good though my wife loved there butter pecan. I tried the blackberry eye pie with graham cracker mix in. I didnt give them 5 stars because it wasnt an original ice cream parlor i was hoping for and they were a bit pricey

Really delicious ice cream and friendly service by the staff. I’ve never had a poor experience at Sparky’s, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for real ice cream. It’s also in a great location since it’s right in the middle of Mill Avenue, so it’s perfect to order your ice cream, and then walk around Mill and take in all it has to offer.

So, I ventured out for some one-on-one time with my oldest son. I decided I would take not-so-little man (12y/o) to Mill avenue one Friday evening around 9ish… well before the majority of the drunken shenanigans began but late enough to where we could appreciate the beauty that ASU has to offer.
After more than a few memorable father/son moments, we saw Sparky’s, looked at each other nodding and just walked right in.
We tried a bunch of sample, to which the staff was patient and generous. We finally choose a couple of crazy concoctions, sat down, grubbed and left happy. Good times.
Great location, great staff, great ice cream and toppings and tons of smiles lie within…

Stopped in here for dessert after lunch. It’s small inside with a small counter area for seating. Paid $ 3.99 for a small cup of ice cream with one add-in. i had the Butter Pecan with toasted coconut. It was delicious! Very creamy! Service was good. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here, but if you’re on Mill, it’s worth a stop

LOVE this place! You can get any type of ice cream you you want! It draw back is the price. Plus I’d had 2 or 3 times were I’ve asked for a small and they made a medium and charged me for the medium. I hadn’t realized until after I paid each time. Just make sure to check before you pay and your good.

Who says customer service is dead… Especially on Mill?! Not only amazing sweets … But the service that comes with it is even better. Ali who served us made the experience 100% amazing. Yeah, seems strange to post about service for a dessert parlor. But when it’s that good, I just couldn’t resist. Oh and the butter pecan cake mix in cone was simply scrumptious! 6 out of 5 stars.

Every time I go in, the service is great! Me, being the indecisive person I am, always asks for what feel like thousands of samples & they are always more than willing. The last time I went in, Allie suggested several different combinations for any flavor I tried and had a great attitude, loved the experience. & of course the ice cream is yummy!

We live in this area and have tried this place multiple times-over years. The customer Service is horrible. Anytime we have asked for a kids cone they don’t even know if they have them. Then when the staff figures out they do have them they’ve been broken. haha! Which is just puzzling to begin with. If you don’t want to sell kids cones take them off your menu!!!
We are so happy the new ice cream store opened up. We have another option and either this store will change their tune or be shut down! *Train Your Staff.

I got the «Mint Chipper». It was great. The mint ice cream was tasty and creamy and the toppings (chocolate chips, brownie, fudge) were mixed in to add more flavor.
A small was the perfect size. Anything bigger would be too much.
It’s a bit expensive, but worth checking out if you’re on Mill Avenue.

Sparkys has such a great variety of delicious, homemade ice cream & hand-dipped waffle cones. They have flavors like banana cream pie and caramel pumpkin porter beer. Now, they make baby Belgian waffles with ice cream and yummy fruit on top. If you’re on mill, you should definitely check this place out!

i like this place!
so much my friend and i had to get the 6 scoop combo for the both of us. we tried coconut, fluffer nutter, banana cream pie, salted caramel, brownie fudgie and strawberry mango banana sorbet. total over-indulgence but it was worth it.
i personally like that they are not overly sweet and everything was extra creamy which really brought home that homemade taste. their flavor selection was a combination of familiar and unique which gives you balance. additionally everything tasted very natural like what they sound like so no artificial flavor after taste.

Great place on Mill to get some ice cream if you have a sweet tooth. The flavors are over the top creative and super yummy. If you’re not sure what you want, ask for a sample and they’re happy to give you one. They also have every topping you can imagine and they mix it up like Coldstone’s…so yummy!

Ice cream is great. All kinds of unique flavors. The chocolate dipped waffle cones are very decadent. A little on the expensive side but hugh quality. The staff is friendly and helpful. Very welcoming.

If you are watching your sugar intake, make this your only ‘sin’ in town! I was so happy that I decided to stop in here while visiting the Tempe college campus. Hand created waffle cones, dipped in chocolate and sprinkles, and I’m not even going to share with what ice cream flavor I got, because you can’t go wrong with any. My advice– stick to the flavor you love, and you’ll love it even better after trying it.
Great location! If you are taking the trolley that stops closely in front of this place to go see a Spring Training game– this is the perfect stop before that.
