This review is greatly delayed, by years. However, I just need to express my gratitude to Tempe Dance and to it’s owner, Wanda Manville, for the time and dedication that she showed to my three daughters when they took dance lessons here. They were taught beautiful technique and we were always treated well. I’m thankful for the years that we had at Tempe Dance and will always recommend them.

My daughter started dance here last year(age 3) and loves it! Wendy Baker is wonderful with the girls – very patient and I am impressed with the teaching.

TDA is the most professional dance studio in Arizona. Many students have gone on to be professional dancers, juliard, and dancing in companies. The environment and choreography is much like a professional company. The costumes they wear are conservative, and the French twists are gorgeous. I am proud to have been a student, and proud to still get to watch my sister. Not to mention the Christmas show is one of my favorite parts of the holiday season. TDA is great and I would recommend it to anyone!

We moved our daughter over here from another studio after looking at a number of different options. The studio has been around for years and seems to have a big following. Unlike many studios, this one does not go for the«trashy» look that so many are now opting for in their recitals. The teaching is very good and our daughter enjoys going to class. MAJOR issue with them is that many of the students are there 6 – 10 hours per week and many of the students are siblings of others so they have been involved with the organization for a long time. For those of us whose kids are casual dancers and not there many hours per week, they seem to not have the time of day for us. We have gone to class only to have the doors locked saying that the studio is closed for such and such a reason and they provide no information to the casual dancers regarding the recitals that they are expected to perform in(and pay for). They have no problem sending out emails for fundraisers, but can’t manage to send out an email to notify dancers that the studio is closed or provide additional necessary information. The owner is obviously well regarded and has a large following with existing families, but they are doing nothing to be welcoming to new dancers. Eventually, your old clients grow up and move on so I’m not real sure what their plan is to maintain clients. They have done nothing to be welcoming to us or to several other new dancers that we have met. You can definitely do better.
