The Sleuth Box

This was a very nicely done escape room. The ambiance and décor all went together very well. There was alot of thought that went into the details of the décor. The puzzles were very good and required alot of attention to detail. There was alot more thinking involved in this escape room than the others that I’ve been to. Out of the 10+ escape rooms that I’ve done in the valley, I put this at #2 (after Blood Thirst).

I’ve never had the opportunity to play an Escape Game before, but I’m glad my first experience was at the Sleuth Box!
I don’t want to give too much away, but every little detail was on point. From the look and feel of the room to the clues themselves, everything was done with attention to the finest detail.
My co-​workers and I who worked to solve the puzzle talked about our experience well after we were done and we are definitely eager to go back when the next room is available. Hey, we may even want to come back to solve the first puzzle since it was so much fun!
A+ experience and would highly recommend to others!

This was my first escape type of room and they went above and beyond my expectations. I will be recommending them to everyone. The puzzles we challenging yet doable. I can’t wait for the next room.

We were visiting Phoenix and had an itch to stimulate our brains. All escape rooms were booked up way in advance and there was no same day rooms available in the entire city. I called Sleuth and they convinced one employee to come in early and let us in. It was super great of them and we were appreciative.
Pros: Very difficult and fun room. Tons of locks and puzzles to solve. Location was pretty easy to find, typical warehouse/​office park setting.
Cons: There is no background story at all. Not even a theme or premise given to us. Just go in and unlock some locks. I mean, yes that is the basic protocol but with no story at all it just lacked some planning elements. The staff member gave us a really big hint before even going in, repeating it 3 times, so when it came time for that clue, it wasn’t exactly difficult. Also when we would get stuck on something after just a couple minutes, he would chime in with a hint. I’m all for having a little help but I don’t want my thoughts to be interrupted every few minutes and take my mind off the game.
Overall, really difficult/​fun room, poor job of preparation with having no background story but we would go again if they get more rooms. They only have 1 room.

I took my daughter and her friends here for her 18^th birthday. They had a blast. They loved the game and the entire experience. I’ve done another escape room and this one was definitely the best.

Such a cool experience. I had been wanting to try one of these «escape rooms» for a while and I’m excited to say that The Sleuth Box exceeded my expectations. Can’t wait until the new room is built so I can come back and try that one. Definitely recommend this place, every clue leads to the next and the room is perfectly themed!

This was an awesome experience! The Room was so well put together and had lots of surprises. I would definitely recommend this to anyone seeking fun and adventure! My fiancé and I got out in just under 60 minutes. Amazing room! I smiled the rest of the night!

Loved the experience that the Sleuth Box created for our family. It is a perfect group date and works very well when you put your heads together. Very rewarding and surprising. We felt like we were in a movie! LOVED IT!

The Sleuth Box provided a fun, exciting mystery. A number of unexpected turns made it really great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Can’t wait for their cabin in the woods!

So much fun! They are still in the process of building more rooms. Location is a little sketchy but once you get in and start the experience you forget where you are. Great date night!

A lot of fun, the room is full of surprises and it keeps you on your toes the whole time. They told us the room had clues that really make you think, but some of the clues seemed a little random. I would come back again after she changes up the theme just to see what other surprises she comes up with. The place is in a medical park so it’s a little hard to find.

Have you ever fantasized about being trapped in a room with your friends or coworkers and having to solve puzzles in order to escape while you’re monitored on camera and timed? God knows I do — all the freakin’ time. Well if so, this is the place to go. It’s totally awesome.
I can’t say a ton without giving things away, but basically it’s this: You go with some other people, they ‘lock’ you in a room (you’re not really locked, for safety reasons), and then you have to solve puzzles to escape. If they see you’re getting stuck, they might ask you if you need a hint. The puzzles are both mental and physical, and it’s a blast.
As of my writing this, they only have one room, so you really can only go once, but they’re working on a second room which I think they said has a log-​cabin feel, which would be cool. The entire thing is very well done, and it’s moody, and super cool. Definitely go.

We had the best time at Sleuth Box last night. We would definitely recommend this to others. It was very challenging but that’s what made it so fun! We escaped in 73 min with several hints along the way. Best advice to newbies: don’t discount anyone’s ideas — they may just be the key to your escape!

It’s hard to believe, but true — this is one of the most fun times I’ve had with a group of complete strangers (but very friendly and nice strangers!) :) our group used teamwork and communication to get through a challenging and enjoyable puzzle room. So much more fun on a date night than your typical ol’ let’s go to see a movie. A special thank you to the owner and staff (Colton) — you made us tourists feel very welcome! :)

Did this for a team-​builder for work and it was one of the best team-​builder activities that I had participated in with our team. The room was challenging and the ambiance was incredible true to its era. Highly recommend this for any family or work outing!

Such a great experience. We were a little intimidated and didn’t know what to expect but they were super friendly and explained the process, even gave us hints along the way when we were feeling lost. It pushed us to think outside the box and work together as a team to figure out clues.
I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something to do on a weeknight with some friends. Will be back again to try out the new rooms, even the haunted room theme.

We came here for a team builder, and had an awesome time.
This place is non-​descript… like seriously, it feels like you’re going to need to escape the waiting room. Instead, you are led to an intricate «study» built with such detail that you soon forget the unassuming exterior. The clues are complex and interesting, and the «reveals» are downright exciting. It requires teamwork and serious thinking, but flows really well overall.
They don’t leave you in there forever. It took us a little over an hour, which is very fast for this room. If you need help, they will give you clues (we did not allow them to), but try to do it yourself.
See if you can beat our record of 1:06.

The Sleuth Box is an «escape the room» type team builder where our mission was to escape a room we were locked in by seeking out clues and working together. At first, we weren’t quite sure what to do but then we started talking and observing little boxes and chests throughout the room. We were given just a little story to get going but from there it was an absolute BLAST searching for clues and working together. I enjoyed how no one was concerned about taking charge, we were just curious and observant for the most part. We listened to each other’s ideas and never shot anything done, anything could have been a clue right? As a result, we escaped in 60 minutes and without receiving any clues from the employees! We were so proud of each other and smiled the entire time. For anyone looking for a fun team builder, this is the place to go!
