I noticed this spot on the way to work and have tried it a few times already. I have to say the pistachio cupcake was moist and yummy. Loved it! I’ve also had the vanilla bean latte, iced hazelnut latte, and iced sea salt caramel latte. All were flavored well and not too sweet(just how I like it.) I did noticed there were empty cases of pastries, but I have yet to try them.

I’ve stopped in here twice now and have encountered empty pastry cases. Granted, both occasions have been in the afternoon but I don’t know how they manage to still be open for the second half of the day with nothing left. I usually wander in after having lunch at a place next door in the adjoining parking lot. I grabbed a drink the second time but wasn’t overwhelmed by price or quality. I tried a cheesecake the first time. It was on the pricey side and a bit dry. Maybe I’ll try again but definitely at some other time of day instead of the afternoon.

When I am on the run for a quick bite for breakfast, Cloverleaf bakery is my go to place! The store hours are from 7am-7pm! Prices for pastries and drinks are fairly cheap! Very clean store with a beautiful patio!(Dog friendly) Staff here are very helpful and friendly with smiling faces! *Must try items: –All the sandwiches! My absolute favorite is the Shangri La sandwich with chicken breast, but they’re all really good! Big portion, fresh ingredients, and also very light and healthy. Wayyy better than subway in my opinion, and pretty cheap! Only $ 6.99 for a sandwich. –Favorite drinks: iced/hot blueberry matcha latte or the matcha green tea latte. Not overwhelmingly sweet, and they use organic matcha power not like other places that tastes watered down. If you’re in the mood for boba, also try their matcha green tea smoothie with boba! –Favorite pastries: ham and cheese, ham and cheese croissant, cheese pillow, ham and egg, any turnover, hot dog bread, taro bead, taro mochi bread! *go early because all the good selection will run out quick! :) –Favorite dessert: all the cupcakes! Super moist and not too sweet. Fruit tart, chocolate chip cookies, and thousand layer cake! Give cloverleaf a try and you won’t regret it! 85 degrees does not compare.

Nice, clean bakery, with an outdoor patio. They made me a veggie sandwich specially on request, that wasn’t on the menu. The sandwich was really tasty, and the bread especially was super yummy! Will definitely go back here!

The place looks clean, a little too clean, as the pastries were missing from the shelves. Am I in a bakery? They had cakes though at 3pm, but it looked a bit sad. The Wicked hot chocolate I ordered tasted ok, normal, but the size was also a bit saddening as the cup was slightly bigger than my fist.

This place stands out in the middle of a Plaza, yet I still managed to miss it and go to the plaza next door. haha. Oops. Once you walk in, the selections of baked goods are to the left. All the options are in baskets, so when I first walked up. I thought that they were all empty until I got closer. It didn’t seem like there was much left at around 12pm on a Friday. But, the selection wasn’t too big. It also didnt seem like they bake throughout the day. It’s more of a first come first serve place. I opted for the red bean swirl, green tea swirl, green tea bun, and taro mochi bun. I really enjoyed the red bean swirl because they didn’t have TOO much red bean and it was nicely spread out with the ratio to bread concept. The green tea bun was not something I was too fond of. I thought that the inside would’ve had green tea custard or something similar, but it was green tea and coconut shavings. Which is a bit odd. I personally don’t like mixing coconut with green tea, I could hardly taste the green tea inside. I have yet to try the taro mochi(i have tried different ones from other locations, they were always good), and the green tea swirl. I would say that the interior is definitely really clean and organized, the employees are very nice. They also have a wide selections of beverages, but I was waiting to run errands and grab a drink somewhere else. Maybe I’ll give it a try next time.

So good. Basically down the street from my house, and they serve really good coffee + teas. I haven’t tried most of their pastries but the ones that I did try were pretty solid.

This is my new go-to for pastries and coffee in Temple City! I can’t believe I’ve never been before especially because my dentist is just a short walk from here. Came here on a lovely Friday morning with my pup to get a hot beverage and some reading done. I like that they have an outside patio. As soon as you walk in, you’ll notice the pastries to the left! The concept is similar to any other Asian bakery. You grab a tray and serve yourself! They had different assortments of bread and pastries. I opted for the Matcha Bun. I then walked over to the counter and got a hot peppermint mocha. Mmmm was it divine. The matcha bun was delicious as well. Buttery, fluffy, and not too sweet. Later on, the lady working there checked up on me outside and was quite amused by my dog. I like dog people because dog people are the best people and I could tell she was a dog person. Warmed my heart. Lots of coffee on their menu! They also have matcha. You best believe I’ll be getting that next time to further continue my quest for all the matcha drinks the world has to offer. Plenty of parking and plenty of great food places nearby! All in all, a solid coffee spot.

Sometimes, you just want a quick snack between meals. Cloverleaf is convenient, quick, and has a wide variety of baked goods and coffee to hold you over to the next meal! In my case, I was a bit hungry after church, so I used my Unilocal app and found this cute shop! From the moment you step through the door and breathe in that freshly baked fragrance. .ahhhh… how do you choose? Everything is yummy and beautiful. .so professionally displayed. .such light and crisp crusts and moist, flavorful fillings… I’m looking forward to returning! I want to tell you a funny story about a customer that I met here, but maybe I shouldn’t. Hahaha! Okay… here goes… The customer thought that I was alone in LA… so far from my home in Hawaii.. I was trying to tell him about my Unilocal friends who are always with me. I trust them and their reviews, even though I haven’t met most Unilocal friends in person! But he couldn’t understand — why couldn’t I be friends with him since he’s right there? I suggested that he make his Unilocal account and then we can talk… yeah, okay.. laters!

Drinks– I ordered an espresso and a late. The drinks were ok. Nothing to go back for… a little overpriced for the area to be completely honest. Food– Over priced, we got two pastries to go and they were not worth paying the extra $ 1 for. There are way cheaper better places in this area. Also there was a penny in my to go bag… weird. Staff– stuck up, rude, not helpful and seemed to not be happy with their job. Policy– warning $ 10 minimum for credit and debit cards… here is a tip for the owners you will loss more money doing that then paying the visa fees on one order drinks. Because now I won’t ever go back. That policy is for liquor stores who are annoyed at people buying a stick of gum and paying with a credit card.

When I came in I wasn’t greeted. One of the gals was busy sweeping and didn’t bother acknowledging me or I would have given 5 stars. I ordered the Da Vinci sandwich and dang, was it amazing. The fresh-from-the-oven Ciabotta bread was delish with the roast beef, fresh greens, tomatoes, pesto and red peppers. I had only planned on eating half and taking the other half to go. OOPS! P. S. The pastries smell wonderful!

3.5– Cozy bakery with good selection of baked goods, coffee, and even ice cream. Coming in, I had the expectation the coffee was brewed with a Clover coffee machine(hence, their name). Didn’t see the actual machine, but the barista confirmed the drip coffee was brewed via Clover. Ordered their coffee to try and there was good flavor and aroma. TIP: If looking for strong flavor, there is better brew at other places, e.g. Taza coffee, Portola coffee lab!

Absolutely love this neighborhood bakery! My favorites are the blueberry pastry and cheese pillows, but they have plenty of other delicious options too. Additionally, they make great cakes too, especially the red velvet one. I’m a fan of the big coffee chains, but Cloverleaf’s Iced Mocha is the best that I’ve had. Great way to start your day.

My bf loves this place. We live close by, so he’s here pretty much every weekend. He likes their pastry selection. I like how we get to choose whatever we want, sort of like with pan dulce, and bring it up the register to pay. Their pastries are definitely delicious and they have a great selection. Their drink selection is also extensive. However, the price is a bit on the high side. I found their coffee to be on the strong side, but then again, I like my sugar and cream with some coffee. If Cloverleaf isn’t a mom and pop kinda shop, I would probably frequent it less often, but I do believe in supporting local businesses, so I’ll be coming back here. Plus, the bf likes this coffee shop, so it looks like this may be our regular haunt.

Finally, I got a chance to try this place out. Had it bookmarked for some time. This place is right at the corner of Cloverly & Las Tunas. Free standing building with its own parking lot. Across from Ralphs Supermarket & Rite Aid. There’s limited seating indoors, 2 tables & a long table with high chairs facing the the parking lot. There’s a patio for outdoor seating. Today was too Hot(100°) so we sat inside. Cute little place. Extensive menu for drinks. Coffee, Teas, Smoothies, & Blended drinks. They serve Fosselman’s ice cream, fresh baked goods, & a display of the cold baked goods. The Iced Sea Salt Caramel Latte was very good! Creamy, nice balance of sweetness & saltiness as well the boldness of the coffeee. IMO, way better than 85°. The Japanese coffee was ok. Had a slight sour note towards the end of every sip. I didn’t try the peach iced tea but it looked refreshing nor did I try the mango Smoothie & that looked pretty good. I will definitely come back to try other drinks & pastries. And of course the Iced Sea Salt Caramel Latte.

3.5 — super cute bakery located in Temple City! Small selection of baked goods… but they’re super delicious. My favorites are the Taro Marble and Lemon Cranberry Poppy Seed bread. YUM! I have also tried their honey boba drinks(they’re blended by the way). The matcha green tea one is really good, nice and refreshing. It was a sweet and strong green tea flavor which I like. A little on the pricy side. $ 5.50 for a drink, but the boba was soft and chewy! Slightly sweetened with honey. Overall, I think this is a cute place to grab some pastries and drink. There’s a $ 10 minimum with credit cards/debit cards.

Thanks to many Unilocalers’ photos, I decided to give this place a try. Upon entering this facility, I realize it just look like any other Asian pastry and café shop. The wife and I bought many pastries. Additionally, we decided to try both types of thousand layer cake as many Unilocalers have suggested. They were nothing to brag about. Both tasted dry and room temperature warm. Also, we ordered two smoothies, both with boba. Drinks were more on the pricier side($ 5 plus). I ordered the mango smoothie and matcha green tea smoothie. Smoothies tasted good and creamy, but boba quickly turned hard and chewy. As far as the price goes for pastries, they are compatible to other Asian bakery, but cost slightly more compare to others. Based on this fact, I was surprise on their packaging.(see attached pictures). They placed two pastries in one single bag instead of their own individual bag. These pastries are then placed inside a plain paper bag instead of a bag with their logo. Our drinks have generic sleeve. Tell me that I have too high expectation, but for these prices, I would expect their logo on these amenities instead of generic. My return visit or not will really base on how the rest of those pastries taste.

After having a light lunch at Café Roule, we walked a few blocks to Cloverleaf Bakery. At first, the name suggested to me this might be an Irish place, with the use of a clover leaf in their name and as their logo. But upon entering, I quickly saw it’s merely a different version of an Asian bakery– drink café that serves desserts, various breads and pastries and a wide selection of coffee drinks, boba drinks & teas. Since we just had lunch, we just tried their Japanese cheesecake and a salted caramel blondie. The cheesecake was light, with just the right amount of cream cheese, not too heavy, not too sweet. The blondie had a distinct, stronger sea salt taste than others I’ve tried, nicely balanced by the caramel drizzle. Both were good. Their bread selection(self serve, like so many other Asian bakeries) was a bit lacking and nothing spectacular. Their dessert case offered some interesting flavor combinations, such as the strawberry black pepper mousse. Their coffee drinks are a bit pricey: Matcha latte served in a modern cool mug for about $ 5. I can’t comment on how it tastes yet. There are some tables inside, a counter with stools facing Las Tunas and an outdoor seating area for those nice SoCal days. Cloverleaf is a nice place to grab a drink and dessert, or possible even some of the sandwiches they have on the menu. I may be back to try other items if in the area, but probably won’t make a special trip out there.

Cloverleaf always surprises me with their bakery. They rarely make the same thing twice. They make it fresh every morning and they make it based on the season so you know that the baker put some real thought into it. I got Japanese Green Tea Swirl croissant and Green Tea Coconut bread for $ 1.95 each, and Taro Mochi bread and Ham and Egg Bread for $ 1.85 each. The taro mochi was to die for because the mochi texture inside the bread was still dripping fresh and hot! The coconut one was slightly too sweet for my pallet but it’s great for those who have a sweet tooth. For drinks, I got the cappuccino(one size only for $ 4.25) and a Sea Salt Caramel Latte(one size only for $ 4.50) and the girl put this real cute design of a bear on the cap and a leaf on the latte. How creative! The cap was made just right, but the latte was way too sweet. I had told the girl to make it less sweet but it was still too sweet. Can’t blame her since I did get the caramel flavor. I’m sure any other flavor wouldn’t have been so sweet. Half way through though, the salt sinked to the bottom and it got way too salty. We did not end up finishing the latte. If you’re in the area, give this place a try. It’s cute, convenient, and fast, and they’ve expanded their menu now to include boba drinks and sandwiches.
