My go to place for Chinese Brush painting supplies for my teacher’s class at rock bottom prices rivaling the internet. When owner Charles helping his wife Wendy noticed we drive from Orange County, he offered to mail me orders, a first for us both. Now years later of taking students to their store and phone, email ordering, he will even put into the box books he knows are of famous artists’ work which the Chinese reading students rave about. The how to books are visual enough the non Chinese readers follow. Modest he also knows. Yesterday I showed him in a book the part of the bamboo we wanted to paint, the bole, and he handed me a box of tiny detail brushes at only a dollar each. Larger and better hard and mixed hair brushes he picks from China and go for around $ 10. With added tax and travel or shipping which is fast we still come out ahead. And asked what that new to me red was for he said MUDAN which is peony. Wow now we’re with web search on how to use new colors we are going to have more fun than ever. Availability of stock varies so I try to check ahead, but nevertheless find goodies, yesterday on an off day nearly $ 300 in value. They are open everyday. He now has coverted the back room into a venue to rent with folding chairs and drop down backgrounds and display racks. Check it out. Currently a photography club or class displaying.

Moved from 9611 Las Tunas Dr., Temple City, CA. This place is okay. The workers here do not have sense of customer service because all they do is chat with their friends in the back. But the good thing is they have lots of books, and quite a few cute stationery items and writing utensils to choose from, at a low price too! One time I got their mini highlighters and a folder with dividers. They also give expired newspapers out for free if you forgot to get it the previous days.
