«WARNINGPLEASENEVERCOMETOTHISPLACEBADSERVICE»!!! im one to give a second chance so i did with this place first time i took my uniform jacket and i went to pick it up they couldn’t find it waited for a while, but the bad part it was still smelling like sweat and made it worse cause they bagged it like they clean it and it wasn’t cleaned, i had to wash it by hand after i got home. Second visit i hoped they do better this time i thinking, NO F!@#$ way, the old man couldn’t find my uniform again and when he found it, he only found the fricken ticket by it self and then he called the second store in el monte where they had my uniform so it be freezing my A** with no uniform jacket :( So my fellow Unilocal please stay away from this place bad slow service and the old his loosing his memory.

First of all, I don’t really get my clothes cleaned at a cleaners all that much. This was maybe the 2nd time I’ve come here, because it was conveniently close to where I live. I drop off some shirts and a jacket to be cleaned, the charge comes out to be $ 14. So I pay him, and go off on my way. On Friday, I come back to pick up my stuff, and as I’m about to leave, the man says, «That will be $ 14.» I tell him that I already paid him, but he immediately says no in a very matter-of-fact way. I tell him again that I had already paid for the service beforehand, but he keeps demanding that I pay him, claiming that he didn’t sign the claim slip. I tell him that that was his screw-up, how was I supposed to know where or how he keeps track of who paid him or not, like I said, I’ve only been there twice. He then threatens to call the police, and I tell him to go ahead, but I’m not about to pay $ 28 for a few shirts. He then tells me to just get out and never come back, to which I replied, «Don’t worry, I won’t.»

Horrible service, the guy at the counter that I am guessing is the owner is an A-hole. Total rip off for a job POORLY done. It seems like they don’t even wash your clothes and just press the clothes, hang it up and take your money. Do not come here!!!

I will never underestimate my fellow Unilocalers again. Wanting to support my local stores, I brought my coat to Sparkle Cleaners one sunny afternoon knowing little of the darkness that lurked within. When I came back to pick it up I found each stain still intact. Strange… So I ask the owner what happened and he says: «What? I washed! I washed many times! Ohhhh… haha I remember. Remember when you bring this jacket? It very dirty, remember?» Confused, I reply«Right. That’s why I brought it — to have it cleaned.» He chuckles«Ok you are right! Come back again and it will be good. You come back and see» A bit unprofessional, but whatever. Round 2: I return to Sparkle Cleaners and hand in my receipt. The owner searches and rummages and rummages and searches. As my patience dwindles away, he returns to say: «I cannot find. You have another receipt? No? How about you come back when I find.» Hmmm… Methinks not. «Can’ t you just find it now? I don’t want to make a FOURTH trip.» «Wellllllllll like I said… I cannot find it right now. Give me your number.» I give it to him but frustrated I say«Look, it’s a real hassle for me to come back again. Can you please just find it now? « “Yeah but I toold you, I can’t fiiiinnd it. What you going to do if I can’t find it?» I’m stunned. «Well then I’ll just tell my friends about your bad service.» «Ok ok ok, I look one more time.» Again he rummages and searches and searches and rummages. I wait and yawn and wait some more. Finally, through all the mess, he discovers missing coat. Great, eureka, wait. I find a hole. Awesome! Sigh. «There’s a hole in my jacket.» «Where? What? Haha that’s nothing it’s so small!» «It’s a brand new coat! There shouldn’t be ANY holes in it.» He scoffs«Ohhh that’s what eveerrryone says. It alllways new.» I’ve had enough. As I head for the door, Scoffer exclaims«HEY you owe me money!» I stop midstride. «What? I owe YOU money? All the time, frustration, and money driving back, you owe ME money!» Scoffs. «Oh you EVIL lady! You pay me! You pay me now! I did job for you, clean so good… YOUPAYMEMONEY!» I scoff in return. «I’m not paying for this horrible service!» and walk out the door.(hey it’s America, and if the service sucks you shouldn’t have to pay, rt?) I finally arrive home thoroughly exhausted when… my phone rings. «Hello, this is Temple City Sherrif’s Station. The owner of Sparkle Cleaners claimed you didn’t pay for a service he provided and wants to charge you with petty theft.» Stunned again. I tell the story and the officer replies«Well I understand your situation but he can still charge you. He said he’d be willing to negotiate if you go back.» Ugh. Round 3: «I spoke with the police, what do you want to do?» «The police say you pay me! Now you pay me for the job I did!» «I don’t think I should pay for this; you’ve made me come back four times now for a bad job.» «OK?! You don’t want to pay? I call police!» «Fine.» He dials the digits like he’s done this before. Then, as if to cause intimidation, he scans me up and down and begins describing me, as if I’m going somewhere. I give him a puzzled look as he proceeds«She wearing black pants, black hair, I think she’s Chinese in her twenties.» I chuckle a little under my breath. The phone hangs up and breaks my thought. «OK, how about you pay me half?» After considering, I pay this little man his 6 measly dollars and leave. Now, the disgust I have for a grown man, business owner, and Buddhist(he was wearing a Buddha bracelet) has compelled me to share this all with you. A hellish experience for what should have been a simple dry cleaning job. As Jennifer stated«…so simple I didn’t think anyone would mess them up.» Indeed.

I came here because the location was convenient(I was stopping by the TC post office) and the rates were relatively low. From the outside, it looks like a large dry cleaning place. When I walked in, I saw a pile of clothes thrown on a chair in front of the mirror probably used for alteration purposes. You could see your upper body in the mirror, probably not a good thing for majority of the people who get their pants altered. I did not see a dressing room, so how would the person know where exactly to hem n stuff? The inside didn’t really look like a booming business, but rather something that closed down but still had clothes left. That was all ok. I left 2 suit jackets, 1 regular jacket and a skirt. The owner was pretty nice and talkative. When I came to pick up my clothes, I didn’t really check my clothes, because they were so simple I didn’t think anyone would mess them up. I came home and took the clothes out of the plastic baggie and saw that jacket #1 collar was retarded lookin. One collar was nicely pressed, the other was not pressed so both flaps were pointing one direction. It was pressed way off center behind the neck so that i couldn’t try to fold the collar into place. I can’t wear something like that to work, or anywhere.period. Jacket #2 was missing a button and a stain was not removed. I was furious. I have never lost a button before. Did they wrestle with my jacket!!! The other two were ok. I had to go back to get those two jackets recleaned and pressed. Good thing they weren’t urgent. The owner was nice enough to not try to wiggle way his out of redoing the services(I know how asians are). He did them in 2 days at no charge but I still will not go back here. They couldn’t find my missing button and I don’t want to make 4 trips for one service.
