Steven Miedecke did the flowers for our wedding and everything was perfect. His designs are elegant and he gave my wife exactly what she wanted. Her bridal bouquet was so loaded with flowers it was almost too heavy to carry! But it looked like a royal wedding. Every guest at the wedding was amazed. He has done hundreds of high end weddings and even celebrity events. Personally, we like that he uses flowers in all stages, from buds to full blooms. It is beautiful to see the flowers open over time and guests can enjoy the flowers for days after the wedding. It is a natural look and the greenery is just as important as the flowers. Steven Miedecke has been designing flowers long before Unilocal existed, so he is kind of like a hidden gem. I think he may be retired now, so if you are lucky enough to get his work, do it!

My planner suggested Steve Miedecke and highly recommended him as the wedding florist. I should have been more aware with the non-existent reviews on Unilocal or any information on him anywhere; but I took a blind leap of faith. Steve was really great about getting the sketches of the sweetheart table and the chuppah over to me; however, changes that were requested and paid for were not made on the actual design of the chuppah on the day of. Was it still a beautiful set up? Absolutely, is it what I paid for… mostly, but I did pay for more flowers which weren’t there. The table centerpieces were absolutely beautiful and the arrangements were great. I’m a bit disappointed with the bouquets and the boutonnieres… though I’ve chosen roses which are hard to keep fresh looking, these bouquets look like they had been made days prior to the wedding and had already begun to brown prior to removing it from the cooler! Now, I’m not talking about the gardenia’s… I’m talking about the roses on the bouquets. Roses will last more than a couple days before browning. These bouquets, being the bridesmaids hands should have been made the day before or even that morning with the freshest of flowers as that is what really makes an impression. In addition, some of the roses in the bridesmaids bouquets were still buds, not even close to blooming… why do I need rose buds in a flower bouquet? Now my bouquet, also had lilies in it that were green! In an all white bouquet, no flowers should have tinge of green. I paid nearly 15 grand for flowers for my wedding… for 15 grand, I shouldn’t be getting dying flowers or flowers that have yet to bloom. In addition, I should be getting everything that was discussed and PAID for. I now know why he was so highly concerned about receiving payment before hand… he was afraid that the bride would take a look at his work and refuse to pay the full amount. If you’re going to use Steve, he does a beautiful job… but make sure you are meticulous about what you want(tell him to re-sketch all designs if changes are made) and to make sure that the flowers are fresh.
