Bad Service Alert! Stay away from Jamila! Always gives the best BADSERVICE! Everyone else is friendly not that I have high expectations for good ol’ yoshi but Jamila’s horrible service is worth mentioning. Management please do something! I’ve come in quite a few times before realizing bad service is her speciality.

I ordered Combo Bowl with the Beef and the Teriyaki Chicken. Honestly… the Teriyaki chicken is pretty awful. It doesn’t even look like proper teriyaki sauce. It was more orangy than brown and is really sweet tasting. As for the beef, that part was actually ok. The veggies, while looking really fresh, had a weird taste to it. I just think it’s pretty hard to screw up steamed veggies, and these didn’t taste that good. I mean overall only the beef was good and nothing else. Also slightly annoyed that they did not take American Express. I mean what kind of big fast food chain does not take AmEx? The staff wasn’t that friendly and everyone who worked there looked like they all rather be somewhere else at that moment. If you’re looking for teriyaki chicken and proper Japanese fast food, try San-Sai. I only came because I got a coupon in the mail but I probably won’t come back again.

I’ve been coming to this Yoshinoya for almost a year now, consistently. I used to always get a combo bowl with Chicken and Beef until they added the Walnut Shrimp. I wouldn’t say the shrimp is very good but for some reason, I like the mix of Teriyaki Chicken and Shrimp so I always opt for that combo. I’m typically coming back from class late at night and driving by to pick up some late dinner to bring home. I’m in and out within 5 – 10 minutes with my order. The food has always been pretty consistent besides my order getting messed up once(got orange chicken instead of teriyaki, no big deal). The food itself is just something that’s kind of tasty and gets me full for a reasonable price, nothing spectacular. Customer service is a hit or miss, there’s a bunch of ladies at the counter but they’re all just o-k. There’s a young cute Asian cashier that looks like she’s just waiting to clock out(even when I see her walking in to start her shift), an older Asian lady that has absolutely no emotion and seems impatient, and two shorter ladies(I’d say Hispanic but I’m terrible at guessing these things, sorry…) that typically work pretty cheerfully. Since I’m always in and out quickly, I never experience their service at a level beyond the cashier but I feel like Yoshinoya isn’t that type of place anyways. They’re always sweeping or mopping when I’m coming in so at least they’re a clean place. All in all, food is just cheap and filling enough to keep me coming, but if they gave me a smile every time I came in to order(I never cause trouble, always a simple order so no biggie), I would feel more comfortable coming here to order without feeling sorry for the workers that look so depressed half the time):

This restaurant has poor service and decent, quick food. I’ve always loved this restaurant and its food but recently, I’ve encountered some issues with the service. For my past few visits, I’ve received wrong orders and had to deal with it when I got home, or I found out early enough to fix my order.

I should have read Unilocal.I should have read Unilocal.I should have read Unilocal.Tried to go healthy, but don’t try that here… Do you get the picture? This place is bad. Cheap cuts of salty chicken, just greasy and fatty. The veggies are frozen and thawed or something that makes them taste like rubber. The drink machine does not work, too. The best thing is that they ran out of small cups, so I got a big one, but the drink machine had only a few flavored that worked… One star is not my norm, but I am speechless on how bad this is.

I just got home from getting my order. My order was large beef bowl(no veg) with extra beef and 2 spring rolls. They didn’t give me my extra beef… I asked before I left if I got extra beef and she said yes it’s already in the bowl so I didn’t think anything of it. I took half off my bowl to see what a single would be and it’s like 6 strands of beef. They should put it separate from the bowl like they do at the valley blvd store. Btw the girls attitude sucks… I worked in customer service for 10 years. Work is always separate from anything else going on in my life so it wouldn’t effect my performance. Smile on and manners go a long way.

Hey guys, tonight is my most wonderful experience in my whole life about yoshinoya, nothing bout my own mood, nothing to do with my day events, ordered an asian wing plate, combo orange chicken beef, one drink called for extra juice, dint expect a huge bowl of juice on the the side was given, no grease, no mess, just superb tasty beef broth, but l mean a size of a claim chowder soup cup size, with out hounding over and over for more beef juice, wings r great, orange chicken juiced up with orange mamalade, hot bbq sauce on wings sprjng onions, perfect taste! Rice cookes to perfection, however on top of all these yummy, staff is real and friendly. Humorous and inviting… blah blah… pls come here and dont miss out freat dinner for 15 bucks! Bingo.

I enjoyed coming here as a child. But as the prices increased we came here less and less. I still come if we have coupons but I remember when the combo bowls were less than $ 4 each! Now they’re over $ 6 each! It is what it is, I guess. The customer service hasn’t changed much either. The employees show no emotion. A recent employee I interacted with, Jamilla, is a complete robot and looks so gloomy. She doesn’t welcome you or say thank you, and acts like it’s such a bother if you ask questions or ask for a water cup. Meh. Coupons and convenience keep me coming, but if I focused on their customer service, I wouldn’t patronize this chain at all.

Ordered the new Orange Chicken. It was ok– if you’re craving the sweet orange flavor with a hint of spiciness. Not overly generous with the chicken. Some pieces were so small & fried to a crunch– there may not even have been any chicken in those pieces of batter. Lol. You want chicken– order the teriyaki chicken. At least you’ll have enough chicken to finish the large portion of rice. Kudos to the 3 employees working the weekend dinner shift. They work hard– so they probably didn’t have any energy 2 muster up a smile. There was another employee that was just standing in the very back not doin much. Perhaps he was on his break– bcuz he did look happier than the others.

I’ve been eating at Yoshinoya ever since 5th grade. It used to be a lot better from what I can remember. Nevertheless, I would still eat it since it is cheap and convenient. There are plenty of parking at this location. It is located on Rosemead and Las Tunas. I like the spicy chicken combo bowl. It is the same thing as a regular combo bowl with the exception of the cayenne pepper on the chicken. I also ordered a flan and it came out to be $ 8.81 after tax. In conclusion, stop by Yoshinoya if you want a cheap meal! The combo bowl by itself is just a little bit more than $ 6. I’d recommend it if you want something fast and convenient.

Not sure what kind of secret sauce yoshinoya uses on their dishes, I keep coming back for their combo bowl once in a while. I’d tried angus beef today, the beef was very lean a bit chewy but consider tasty. I personally still preferred the original beef instead. Oh, the Asian BBQ wings are so good also…

I rarely eat«fast food» but when I do, there’s only so many choices. Of the choices, Yoshinoya ranks near the top. If you ever crave«Yosh,» this specific location is the best one, I have ever visited. Overall quality, service and cleanliness, this place never fails to hit the spot!

This place gave me a stomach ache! Grr I bought a beef bowl to go. Halfway to finishing the bowl I tasted some weird soap like taste and decided to throw the rest of the food in disgust! Woke up at 1am in excruciating stomach pain! I will never go this place again! Yuck and ouch!

Come here every once in a while for only the beef bowl. Just tastes like how a beef bowl is supposed to taste. Got extra onions and sauce. They drowned the rice in sauce!!! I posted a pic but idk how to include it in my review. so if ur a curious cat and u wanna see the ridiculous amount of sauce they put in, go look at the pics! I know I asked for extra sauce and that means just some extra sauce, not drown my fuggin beef bowl in it!!! My mom and sister had to literally pour the sauce out into their plate. The worker is either retarded or half asleep!!! U done goofed temple city yoshinoya HELPPHOWDO I EDITREVIEWS!!! im a Unilocal noobie. Well ill try. Only got a few pieces of meat in my bowl I have 2⁄3 of my rice left and im out of meat. How the fff can I finish it??? So upset wit this yoshinoya! Never ever coming back here. UGHHHH
