I typically wear my hair in its natural state which is really curly. However, I love to go to the salon for a little extra TLC. This salon was suggested by my aunt. I went on a Tuesday when they have their $ 15 off special. I wanted a wash and roller set($ 50 plus the discount) After the shampoo I was informed that my hair could not be rolled, which is absurd to me. I was told that I would have to get a blowout. At the end I was pretty satisfied with the style but I am still confused about how my hairstyle cost $ 65 with the $ 15 off special. I didn’t get any additional perks like the $ 10 deep condition or a trim. If I had, I would understand the price more but I don’t.

It was first time getting my hair blown out at a Dominican Salon. I was a little nervous especially since I’ve heard the blow dryer gets pretty hot. Although that’s true, my hair turned out beautifully and bone straight. I have natural hair and looks like I have a relaxer. The salon is very neat and clean with very friendly staff. It was not terribly busy and I was only there for 1 ½ hours which is not bad for a Saturday on the day before Easter. I was seen right away and was given a much needed deep condition! I did not get the woman’s name but her station was the third one from right. Very professional and attentive. She wasn’t sure about cutting my hair but I didn’t mind. She also was not scissor happy, I needed my ends clipped any way. After she was finished, my hair looked great! I will definitely be back to this salon!
