Super fun! We came for Maple weekend and really enjoyed the place! They had samples of lots of maple related products, and included shots of their maple syrup to drink as well! Talk about a sugar high. I love their variety in maple related products, and was especially delighted with their roasted nuts and Maple crème. They talked about how their maple syrup is made and we got to see the machines they used for everything. It was lots of fun and over a great mini road trip to make with friends.

Arrived here with the family for the open house with 2 kids, ages 6 and 4. The employees were really terrific showing us the evaporator while we ate free samples of maple cheesecake, maple bread, and maple candy. Then, a super-helpful employee showed us the maple syrup bottling machines and walked us across the street to show us how they collect sap from 19,000 taps via an elaborate network of tubes that feed into a giant collection container. Afterwards, we stopped by the shop where we gorged ourselves on maple cotton candy, maple caramels, and hot maple-crusted cashews. The kids had a blast and we did, too.

Great Maple Weekend with Ben’s Sugar Shack! Their website was very helpful for me to find out what their open house included and where they are located. Their signs along the roads directing me to the shack were also great. I had the chance to sample their maple cotton candy, maple candy, and maple cream — all great. The tour included a hayride, sap tapping with a bucket, filtration, candy making, and bottling. There was food offered for those who are hungry. Many families and cars were here as well. The staff were very enthusiastic and dedicated to their work. Friendly and happy to answer questions.

Up visiting family in NH and picked up a bottle of Ben’s Maple Syrup since I was running low at home. I regularly consume 100% pure Maple Syrup as I’m a pancake lover. I couldn’t be more disappointed by the quality of this product. Had I seen the coloring and clarity of the syrup I never would have purchased it(it was disguised in an opaque plastic bottle.) It became clear to me that he doesn’t follow the proper sugaring standards since what I tasted was gritty. It made my pancakes inedible and I had no choice but to dump the syrup down the drain. Before you buy syrup in NH make sure you check to make sure it didn’t come from Ben’s Sugaring Shack.

Outstanding. I typically don’t like Maple Syrup from New Hampshire because of the flavor, that varies slightly from Vermont and upstate New York because of the granite in the ground. I have got Maple Candy from here more times than I can remember and have always destroyed it immediately. Great people, great clean product, always happy to get their syrup, great for gifts.

We set out with our 2 grankids to see how real maple syrup is made. After getting a little lost(Google Maps is slightly incorrect), we found the vast cloud of steam coming out of the sugar shack’s roof. We were met by Joe, who showed us some maple trees and explained the tapping process. We then went into the shack where he gave us a guided tour of the maple syrup process. It was great! The kids loved it, especially when we got to the candy-making room and the free samples. The maple cotton candy is wonderful — it explodes with maple flavor. The was a great experience and we want to thank Joe, in particular, for the time he took to answer all our questions!

We was searching for a place to buy a bottle of fresh maple syrup on the way back from New Hampshire. We ended up stopping by Ben’s Sugar Shack. It’s got a tiny little shop with maple syrup, maple candy and other maple-y things. When we walked in though, we were greeted by one of the workers who immediately offered to show us around the facility and how maple syrup is made. Then he offered us a sample of the batch that had finished right before we got there. When we decided to buy the grade a that we had tried and he brought us back to the bottling room again to take a bottle fresh from the tap. It was still warm when we got it home! Great syrup and great people.

Set out from Laconia to drive 2 hours out of our way headed back to CT after a weekend trip. Website says open till 6 on the first page, open till 7 on another. Called twice and got voicemail. Showed up at 4:30, closed, door locked, no lights on. Crap customer service.

A quaint little shack in the middle of nowhere… I love maple products, so my girlfriend and I trekked out here to check it out. You walk in and you’re in the shop. It’s a very small shop but has all the maple products you’d ever want(okay, no maple soft-serve ice cream…) But they have maple syrup, maple candy, maple cotton candy, maple coffee, maple tea, maple whoopie pies… All so good! We were greeted and invited into the production area where we were told they have many free samples: maple bread, maple donut holes, maple muffins and maple pulled pork(to die for). It smelled so good as we walked past the boiler. We were brought back into the candy room and shown how the maple candy is made and how the syrup is bottled. Then I was offered a sample of maple cheesecake. He ended up giving me a good 7 inch square of it to take home. It very much exceeded my expectations. Everyone was very friendly. I’d love to go back.
