One of the better places in the area. Usually consistent in delivery of good, fresh food. Some inconsistencies. For example, on our last trip the Coke freestyle machines delivered slightly watered down and mixed flavored carbonated beverages. My wife’s Diet Coke had a slight chemical after taste and had hints of other flavors of soda. My Dr Pepper wasn’t much better. Burgers are consistently good here. French fries are great but this time were way too salty. Peanuts were not too fresh this time around. Wish they would offer combo meals.

Pretty decent. I heard a lot of hype for this place but I feel like it was just average. It was not horrible but I wish it was a tad better for the price. Also the fries were also average. They were soggy but had decent flavor. Would I go back? Maybe. But honestly I rather just go to what a burger or something.

If you’re planning on going here, be sure you have your wallet this place is expensive!!! 8 dollars for just a bacon cheeseburger by itself!!! Fries and drink are separate. It’s 5 bucks for fries and 3 bucks for a drink. It does taste amazing though, its just very expensive!!! You may as well just go to a fancy restaurant, youll spend about the same

Haven’t been to a Five Guys in quite some time. Food was well crafted and the service was great.

The food is ok. Not the innovative type if offerings I would expect from a chain built solely on burgers.

Looking for a bit of a nostalgic eatery the serves like something you’d think was from the 60’s then this is your place. The burgers are fresh and made to order. And the fries, well you better be hungry or sharing because a regular order is huge. They serve it up hit in a bag; just rip it open and art eating!

As always anywhere the hamburgers here are great. Headed out to home know. Burgers are the way you ask and always fresh. Get the drink you want and be back on the road. Love the young people here they smile.

Although I’ve been to other 5 Guys, this one is the best. Maybe it was because I was hungrier than teen ager, but this was one of the tastiest burgers I’ve had in a long time. Regular bacon cheese burger(two patties) with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo. Seasoned fries. Great burger with a nice char and fresh ingredients. Very big burger. Got the regular fries which«serves two» but my wife and I were unable to finish them. A big plus for me is the peanuts. Don’t judge me. I’m a sucker for roasted in the shell peanuts. Next time, though, I’ll throttle back and get the small fries and the kiddie burger. That, with the peanuts, should be more than enough. Oh yeah, it’s right behind BJ’s Brewhouse and those peanuts can make you really thirsty. I’m just sayin’.

I’ve heard great things about Five Guys Burger & Fries. On my way to Austin the other day, I had the opportunity to finally try this place and experience what they hype was about. Staff were friendly and service in my opinion was up to par. Orders were made fresh so that when you devour your burger and fries — it is still nice and warm. I understand why on the walls they have so many awards that proclaim how great this place — the burger was delicious! Best hamburger I’ve had thus far since my arrival in the USA. Fan fan fan!

I first went to Five Guys on the east coast and was very impressed with their product. I’ve been to Five Guys twice in Texas and both times were a huge let down. The burger I had at the location on the east coast was tasty and juicy. Here in Texas the burgers are dry and tasteless. What gives? We’re in cattle country here. It’s interesting that most reviewers didn’t like the fries but I enjoyed them very much. It was my favorite part of the meal. And OHMYGOD, why was the music so loud in there? Holy hell I couldn’t hear myself think. By the time I left I had a headache.

It’s a very good tasting burger(4 star burger) I’ll give it that. I even believe the burgers are better than Smashburger but I’m NOT a fan of the fries. I know they give you a lot but this style just aren’t my cup of tea; I like Mooyah’s fries better not sure what the difference is if you’ve been to both. They are very PROUD of their burgers, meaning they want everything in your pocket for a burger fries & a drink! More than $ 20 if it’s two of y’all, for some BURGERS! Sheeesh! There is the option to get the little burgers meaning one patty vs the two, on the regular burger. Overall it’s a good place to venture to if you’re a burger eater.

The food here is ok in my opinion. Definitely better than your regular fast food chains but I don’t think the quality is worth the price. Even though the main burgers are double-pattied, the patties were rather smaller than I’ve expected when I’m paying $ 6+ for a burger. They advertise their fries but you have to pay extra for the fries. Since I haven’t been to a Five Guys in a while, I went all out and bought fries and a small drink along with my bacon burger. This combo costed me $ 12 after tax! This is not a good deal in my opinion. This makes me miss In-N-Out… With all these said, I really like the fact that you can add any toppings for free(though they only put a small portion of the toppings). This place is not bad and I would give it a 3.5÷5 if I could.

I normally venture to five guys on my lunch break during the weekdays, which is around 2−3pm, and I never find a crowd. The staff is always courteous and quick, and I always seem to be eating within ten minutes of walking in. I order the same thing, Bacon Cheeseburger with grilled onions, pickles and bbq sauce. The thing just tastes amazing to me, and to be honest, despite the massivity of the burgers, after downing one it always seems like I could have eaten another one. Not a fan of the fries… I don’t know. Next to the burgers I quess they just don’t measure up. I take my son here, he loves the grilled cheese.

I really don’t like the concept double mini-burger substituting a full-sized regulation hamburger. It just seems very un-Texan and un-burger, unless you’re at McDonald’s. The meat isn’t anything special, pretty plain, and not overly juicy since it’s so thin and small. But overall the burger is decent. Truth be told, I think people are more hooked on the fries, because they give you a large amount in a single order. But this should be a clue. There’s a reason for this. It’s easier to throw some fresh cut fries in a fryer and time it. You can’t really screw it up. Making a great burger requires some skill, and that’s what you’re SUPPOSED to be paying a premium price for. If they want to brag about their fries, OK, they’re pretty dang good and plentiful. But there’s nothing much special about their wannabe fancy Big Mac double patty strangeness. Bacon cheeseburger, fries and drink cost me $ 12. That’s just criminal. Who the hell are they kidding? Well, apparently, a lot of people. I just don’t understand all the fuss. There’s a better authentic Texas style burger about a mile down the road for about half the price.

Don’t ask me what I was doing at a Five Guys in Texas, but somehow I made it out here. After hearing all the hype about Five Guys, I was expecting more. The beef patty was good, but slightly under-seasoned. I had the double bacon cheeseburger, with grilled onions and mushrooms. I was hoping they grilled the bacon, onion, and mushrooms to order, but it seems like they cooked those ahead of time and slap it into the burger when ordered. I also would have preferred melting cheese on my burgers. They also put the cheese on the burger after the patty has been cooked, which does not give ample time for the cheese to melt into a gooey mess(the way I like it). The good thing about the burger was that it was not greasy. The double burger was very meaty, and definitely fills you up, but i didn’t feel heavy or oily afterwards. The fries here were delicious, and it was the best part of the meal! Nice thick cut fries cooked to perfection! I prefer the burgers at in-n-out over Five Guys, but Five Guys wins on the fries hand down! Prices for burgers here were not cheap, my double bacon cheeseburger was something like $ 6, and another $ 2 for fries. It wasn’t the cheapest meal, and the burger wasn’t all that satisfying, so I’d only come back for fries!

Meh. This place was my first experience with Five Guys Burgers, and simply due to the location, I’ve eaten here more frequently than the other two(both in Austin). I have never been terribly impressed with the burger here — my first impression was«at least it’s better than Mighty Fine.» The fries last night were just plain bland — even salt and ketchup couldn’t help them enough for me to enjoy them. All told, I think I might have to skip this location on future visits to Temple and when I want a really good Five Guys burger, I’ll go to the one in the Arboretum in Austin. It’s closer to where I work my day job, anyway.

I think Mr. Gemba Walk said it best on his first — ever — visit to Five Guys: «it was an underwhelming experience». Oh well, at least I got to eat free peanuts. Still, this place is 4 stars — just bring some extra change on ya and some deep pockets. It doesn’t have that hometown feel like the other burger places do because it’s new, and it’s a chain, but sometimes change is good — right? It’s the home of the«Five Dollar Burger»(be appreciative, in Austin it’s the«Six Dollar Burger»). You end up getting 2 patties of meat, and if that’s too much to handle, maybe get the $ 3 kiddie burger. Wow, three bucks for a «kiddie» burger. I wonder what the kid looks like. The fries are really good, they’re thicker cut and made fresh. They serve everything in a brown bag, so you can leave or eat there. And if you’re wondering what’s the reason for the mark-up, just look around — — they have 2 large boxes of peanuts for everyone to enjoy for free. That’s where your extra change goes — to the peanuts, and the nice uniforms. It’s no Jody’s, or Crow’s, and it’s not worth five bucks(IMO), but I encourage you to try for yourself. Mr. Gemba Walk did, and like I said, he was«underwhelmed»(his words).
