The food at The Patio is great! The fried catfish is especially good. The wait time for the food can greatly vary from visit to visit. Some visits, you will get your food very quickly but other times you will wait 30 minutes for your appetizer. If you have time to wait, the restaurant is great.

I love the food here. The people are friendly and the flavor is amazing. the only thing that would make it better is the servers. Sometimes they are really slow. If you are not in a hurry it is all good though. I will still go here, Just not when I have limited time. They are new and it will get better. I would recommend that they invest in a professional trainer for the servers. they need to serve in order, appetizer, then remove dishes and bring salad then clear table and bring entrée. I can see how they could loose business when servers bring out all of it at once. it is overwhelming and you loose point of sale income like dessert. Every seasoned diner knows and every server should know this basic rule., too many dishes on the table can overwhelm the diner and they wont get desert, or if they are pressed for time. This is a shame becasue the deserts are fantastic.

Great place to hang out with the girls for a get together chat and drink! Absolutely love the bars, also one conveniently placed upstairs. I highly suggest trying their Malibu bay breeze mix drinks:) and then their food oh so delicious! Their burger baskets are just the right amount of seasoned to perfection goodness for a reasonable price. These burgers put others to the side lines. And lastly all the staff are attentive to anything you might need. I’ve never been disappointed with the service here.

I work in downtown Temple and was originally excited about another option for lunch. At first, they really struggled with good service and getting you in and out quickly, which is a negative when you only have an hour for lunch. I decided to give them another chance and I’m glad I did. They are under new management and it shows. I’ve been back twice now and the service has been good. We’ll see how they do as business picks up. I hope it does. The nachos are really good btw.

I went back to try and see the good in this restaurant and I’m glad I did because my second time around the service was way better the food was amazing. I got to give it up to management for taking care of its customers.

I tried this place when it was in its soft opening. Wasn’t impressed then and haven’t been back since. When we arrived there was a few people at the bar and we were the only people sitting to at a table. The service: I agree with the other reviewer that the servers need more training. Our server did fine when it was just us. It seemed to pick up a bit with maybe 10 more people and she was so frazzled she didn’t seem like she was able to manage the small amount of people. The drink: I only ordered one drink. It was ok but it wasn’t the greatest drink. It was one of the drinks listed on their drink menu on the table. I will prob just order a beer if I am brave enough to venture back. I was really surprised when I got my bill and payed $ 8.00 for one drink. The food: I found this extremely disappointing. I ordered Fish and Chips. It was $ 9.50. When it came it was 4 sticks of fried fish and fried potatoes served strangely in a bowl. The tarter sauce(which I believe is an important part to any fish dish) had a sweet off/putting taste. It tasted like it had nutmeg in it which really did not complement the fish and really turned me off from my meal. Someone else at the table ordered the appetizer-Chicken Cluckers. These were described as chicken stripes coated with corn flakes. When they arrived at the table, they looked more like chicken nuggets. We were planning on ordering dessert but decided against it. I hope this is all just do to this being the soft opening and that over the next few months they will improve. Unless I hear better things down the line I’m not sure I would return at this point.

We just went to the Patio and have been back 3 more times! Great food… love their chicken salad and they make the best Margaritas in town! Very convenient in downtown Temple. It’s our new place to go now!

Nachos, cluckers, burger, wings. All excellent. Good food. Wish they were open late night with smaller menu. Great bar. Temple needs this place badly to help rejuvenate the downtown area

The menu looked yummy & I was excited to try it, but it took an hr for our party of 5 to be served at lunch– in a mostly empty restaurant. I ordered the crab cake burger & was not thrilled to find several pieces of shell(and nothing jumbo/or even lump about the crabmeat). The bun was dense & stale & I left it behind, the chips were not made in house. The others had sandwiches of various types & the consensus was meehhh.

My family and I have been twice and had the same experience both times. Slow service and over an hour wait times on our food. The second time was almost an hour and a half! Food has great flavor but always cold. Had it been hot food it would have been really good. Also we had a family of 5 and they charged us a Service Charge for a large party? Are you kidding me? 5 people is normal not a large party. We won’t be back any time soon because my boys cannot wait that long for food. We might try take out though because we could reheat the food.

Came in town for the weekend and I have been dying to try this place. The only thing I absolutely hate is that its not in Dallas! I loved every aspect of it. My sister and I shared our meals. I ordered the fried catfish poboy and she ordered the chicken fried chicken… Best chicken fried chicken I have ever had! Everything was wonderful including the service. I know it’s not easy taking care of a large party, but she did a wonderful job. The music was great as well. I can’t wait to go back!!!

I had high hopes but this place was just okay. Had brunch here. Pros: Good cocktails Good selection of vodka for Bloody Mary bar Server was nice Omelette was good. Not great, not bad. Cons: Bloody Mary bar(minus vodka), missing some essentials and didn’t have tongs out to prepare with. Burger wasn’t seasoned. At all. Could have made a big difference Hash browns-I don’t even know Food took FOREVER! Ordered 1 burger 1 omelette. Waited more than 30 mins. It wasn’t that busy. If I do go back it will just be for drinks.

Left before getting our food, so I’m not rating that. When we arrived, there were chairs on top of tables, so we weren’t sure if they were open. There was one other person in there. My daughter and I ordered off the brunch menu. The young man that was our server was nice. We ordered an omelet and eggs/toast/bacon. Over 20 minutes went by, no food. I watched while a different server dug in her nose, both nostrils, with a napkin. She carried on a conversation with a gentleman that I presumed was from the kitchen about«your baby’s mama,» partying and other personal issues. We finally got up and left. I was so grossed out and frustrated.

Great food, very fresh! Good service and friendly staff. Also impressed by the clean bathrooms. We stopped in with no reservation and a large group and got our food in a very timely manner. Thank you Patio on Main for a great lunch!

Amazing!!! The chicken fried steak was out of this world. My husband said his fish and chips were the best he’s had since he lived in Portland. We sat upstairs and we were attended to just fine. The drinks were good too. Defiantly coming back again.

Really cool little spot — much different from other bars I’ve visited in Temple. My brother pitched to me as «having an Austin feel» and I can see it. Because I went on a Sunday night it was mostly empty, but I look forward to going back on a Friday or Saturday next time I’m in Temple.

The location is very cute, inside has a very Austin vibe. I loved that they had Angry Orchard on tap!!! We went during the first week they opened, they still had soft opening menu. We were greeted and seated quickly. It took a long time to get our appetizer(queso & salsa) the salsa was more like pico. Our group ordered fish and chips, hamburger, and a chicken strip appetizer. Despite being one of two tables it took over 45 minutes for us to get our food. My fish and chips meal was the size I would expect for a child and was $ 10 my fish looked like fish sticks and my «chips» were soggy(all the other fries, potato and sweet potato were also soggy) the tarter sauce that came with my fish had a gross sweet flavor which made it inedible. The hamburger we were told was only available medium well. The chicken«strips» were like chicken nuggets and were over done. Over all I was pretty disappointed. With all of that in mind I know that it was their first week and we’ll probably give it another try after they work out a few kinks. At the very least it would be a great place to go drink with friends! :)

From the décor to the service to the ambiance to the food, everything here is spectacular! I heartily recommend their appetizers of Chicken Cluckers and Fried Mozzarella, both hand breaded and fried with their blend of herbs and spices. Nothing out of a box or frozen here! The British Fish & Chips(served with Malt Vinegar!) are perfection. Comfortable atmosphere combined with delicious food right down to the dessert. Definitely a destination in Temple, TX!
