A place to avoid. Owner does the minimum for boarder satisfaction and can’t be trusted to keep her word. Poor management, safety, and customer service issues experienced at Pat Mar Ranch: 1. Board rates are not consistent. Owner does not honor previously quoted rates. 2. Services are not accurately recorded(blanket, turn-out). Boarders are charged for service that was not provided. 3. Poor quality hay. Several horse owners buy their own feed. 4. Best to maintain your own pen. If horse is moved for pen maintenance, boarder is charged for more expensive pen. Horse will be found in a temporary pen with rusted metal feeder containing holes and sharp edges. 5. Boarders are invoiced for shavings taken by riders on the premises for day use or overnight stabling. 6. Boarding contract has a «no dog» policy that is not enforced. Boarders dogs run loose and chase riders working in the arena. 7. Ranch manager cannot be reached easily in an emergency. 8. Manager’s horse charges & kicks at horses in adjoining in & out pen. Horse in adjoining pen will have back stall door closed and locked with horse unsafely trapped inside. 9. Ranch owner will move horse trailers without permission of the trailer owner. 10. Pat Mar website falsely represents the ranch. Website photos are not of any horses or barns at Pat Mar Ranch.
