Cannot recommend Thurnauer highly enough. An absolutely magical atmosphere, dedicated and caring teachers. It’s been a spectacular experience from start to finish for my older daughter, and my younger daughter will be joining her there as soon as she is old enough.

Tenafly, NJ
This is a world class arts institution that specializes in the very young, but has excellent offerings into the teens. My kids have gone there for years and had first class teachers. Their programs for the very young are probably the strongest in New Jersey, if not also in Manhattan.
Give music to your kids any way you can, but if you go to a program like this you will get a much broader education than if you just see an independent music teacher and work in isolation.
Many kids who study in this program go on to precollege programs at top conservatories.
