Staff is friendly, service is very efficient. Place is clean and bright. Very relaxing atmosphere. There were three attendants when I walked in(I called and made an appointment first.) I got a very soothing massage. The male attendant, was very gentle with my hands, and Ms. Linda took very good care of my feet. It was a very pleasant. This salon is now called Choi Nails.

I went to choi nails a little doubtful because I have a girl who usually does my nails. However she was not available to take me when I needed so I took a chance on Choi nails. I am very happy I made this decision. The people at choi nails really do pamper you. I got a pedicure and a gel manicure. The pedicure included a hot stone rub and not only cream after they scrubbed my legs but also oil. Thought out this processed I received a thorough leg massage which I enjoyed a lot. They also put a liquid on my calluses with socks over it with wholes so they can paint my nails. The manicure also included them rubbing a fresh aloe Vera plant on my hands and a special cream along with it. I was very please with the service and will be coming back more often especially for pedicures.

The name of this place is now called choi nails and i have nothing but good things to say. Jaime is the owner and she works with her mom and alot of the workers there are male. But honestly the men do a way finer job at manicures and pedis than any women that I’ve expierenced in the area. They dont rush you and the small massages they give on your feet during a pedi is amazing. Thwy really do focus on you and do a great job. The place is small and I have seen them turn people away who walk in because there wasnt enough people working so make sure to make an appt. Oh and on Unilocal it says they are closed on sundays but they are definitely open!

I moved to Virginia and went back to NJ to visit. Before I left town, my friend and I wanted Pedicures. We stopped in and would you believe even my name was remembered! The best service for nails in the area. I joked she should relocated to Virginia. :) I won’t go anywhere else when I’m in town! Perfect nails, mini leg massage, and mini back massage when you’re waiting to dry. She’s a dog lover too! :)

No longer called«Pretty Nails» since change of ownership and staff in late 2011. Choi Nails is terrific. The owner, Jaime, is very nice as well as everyone working in the salon. I consistently get a great mani/pedi or gel nails from any of the manicurists. They do get really busy at times, so you might want to call ahead, but are usually able to accommodate walk-ins.

I am assuming they changed their name because it’s now called Choi nails and let me tell you by far one of the best experiences I have received! I just happen to google nail salons in Tenafly and this was one of the first numbers that came up and boy oh boy am I happy about that. They were very attentive and took their time with me. Even after I dropped my coffee all over their floor they cleaned it up and still were super sweet to me. Oh and the best foot and hand massage I ever got and I didn’t have to pay extra best $ 25 I ever spent. I will be back!!!

Update: 10/20/2011 What is going on? Kim(the former owner) is no longer there and all of the original workers are gone. The new owner is a total nutcase if she thinks this store can survive without the original manicurists. Plus, all she does is scream at her mom(who is now working there) all day in front of everyone. And she rushes everything, giving me no time to relax… I was about to cry when I realized that this is no longer the same environment I came to religiously for the past 10 years. I’m sure most of the regulars feel the same way. Time to find a new salon. :’( Now where am I going to find someone that can do my usuals as perfectly as Kim and Debbie?!
