Had a fabulous visit with a friend and her groupon deal. Turns out, you don’t even need a groupon. You can get the deal any time. So many great and inexpensive options. The tasting was fabulous, and we tried 8 wines of our choice! Andrea is so friendly and fun to talk with. Upstairs and downstairs option for couples, groups or meetings. We enjoyed a very comfortable sectional couch in the back. Great rewards program will give you 50% off a bottle of wine after your third visit. And more coupons for a free appetizer or tasting. Appetizer plate was very generous assortment of cheese, salami, olives, chips and guacamole. So much fun… took us two hours for all of this!

Favorite winery to go to not just because I enjoy their wine, from their chocolate ports to their Gewürztraminer, but because their hospitality is unique. They consider you friends. First time we walked in, customers were watching the football game on a projection eating chips and salsa, some with a beer and some with wine. I’ve returned at least two to three times a month not to refill my bottle collection but because they had craft classes available. We made Christmas signs! Such a great place, super friendly, and honestly believes in keeping customers far and near happy happy happy.

We were here on a camping(Glamping) vacation with pampered wilderness( ) and our package included a $ 15 discount to Scatter Creek Winery. It seemed to review well and would to be a good place to visit for a wine tasting. Oh my was it! All I can say is this place is wonderful and the service was fantastic. Oh, and the wine was so good we became part of their wine club. They have a wide variety of wines from Sweet dessert wines to full body reds. Their wines are smooth without that biting tannin taste of some wines but they still maintain the full body flavor. If your in the area I would strongly encourage you to stop by! You may be delightfully surprised on how good their wines are. :)

Sit on the comfy red couch and do a little wine sampling. Order some appetizers(guac ‘n chips from the Don Juan’s). Loved the bold red wines, they were perfect with the fancy chocolates that we got from Aunt Kate’s Chocolate across the street. If you are not a wine drinker, that’s OK. They have some awesome bottled Micros from local brews like Dick’s Brewing in Centralia. We shared a house special, Peach Wine Ice Cream Float. They also offer it in Strawberry or even a Stout Beer Float.

Wow this place was amazing. I came here using a groupon for an appetizer and wine tasting. The owners were very warm and friendly and made us feel very accommodated. The dessert wines are great and I just had to buy one. Overall it was delicious and I will be back!

Nice place but furnishings could be much more comfortable. Metal folding chairs? Really? No owner the one corner couch is so popular. Get some nicer chairs and people might stick around. Wine was good. Tasting amounts were very small. It’s really hard to get the feel of a wine with less than an ounce of wine. The metered bottle tops just seem tacky. When samples were poured from bottle without the metering top, the amounts were closer to what I’ve experienced at other wineries. But, wine was pretty darn good and staff very friendly. Good treats with tasting was a plus. Might stop in for a glass but I will remember to bring something soft to sit on.

Stopped here on a bike ride on the Yelm-Tenino trail. We will definitely make this a regular stop from now on! Not only were the wines great – we only do reds, but I’m sure the whites were great as well, seeing as the reds rocked – but the service was wonderful too! And they were even dog friendly!

The atmosphere and service at the Scatter Creek winery is very warm, welcoming, and comfortable. The wines are very good, as is their selection. I have never had a bad experience here and highly recommend this place to anyone as a great place to get good wine or to stop in and have a glass.

Great atmosphere, wonderful wines, large selection. I will definitely put this on my «return to frequently» list! It’s in a little out-of-the way town of Tenino, which is a few miles off the beaten path. But Scatter Creek Winery makes it worth coming back to!

I don’t see how this place has 4 and 5 stars. We visited yesterday for my birthday with a living social deal. We walked in, sat down, they didn’t explain much but gave us a list of the wines we would be tasting and told us to rate it. I had to ask for a pen. They gave us the SMALLEST splash in our wine glass and used the same glass over and over for every single taste. We went through all of the wines and there was NOT a single wine that I had to have. The dessert wines almost made me throw up, they were like drinking cough syrup WAY too sweet. The food platter was mediocre, they put DORRITOS chips on our plate, classy huh? We were almost completely ignored other than the host pouring a tiny dime size splash in our wine cups. My husband wanted me to get a wine so I picked one that I didn’t love but was ok but we stood and waited for 10 minutes at the counter and never got help so we left empty handed. I don’t think our social deal came with a bottle because the host and owner hardly spoke to us. I would NOT recommend this place. It would have been cheaper to buy a glass of wine then pay all this money for just drops of wine they gave us. It’s quaint but borderline okie… Save your money and go elsewhere. Also the wines are composed of local grown gapes and fruit so do NOT expect a robust red earthy wine. This place is for those that like fruity, white, or desssert wines; I wish we would have known this before hand.

This place was super fun! excellent for a date night, girls night, or just a nice hang out spot. The place is located in Tenino, WA, a small, quaint town about 45−1hr out from Tacoma, WA. The wine was good and the hostesses were down to earth! It was like chatting with old friends! I will be back. PS– A trip across the street to Aunt Kate’s Chocolate afterwards is advised. Hell pick up some custom blended loose leaf tea while you’re at it.

Yummy wines! Their wine list is 2 pages long so make sure to bring someone who doesn’t like wine so that you have a driver!!! They have something for everyone. Their ports and dessert wine are phenomenal. They have one that is hazelnut infused and it was amazing. The owners are beyond friendly and it’s just a fun place to go.

Visited Scatter Creek during the Chehalis Valley fall wine tour and thought it was ok. As a previous reviewer wrote, it is located in a covered driveway/garage of a subdivision, which is a bit strange. However, the winery is relocating to a storefront in downtown Tenino so that will be a big plus. We didn’t care much for all the various non-wine products being sold during the tour, such as wood carvings, Mary Kay, jams, etc. But we did enjoy the wine, and the people were very friendly. They also had some tasty food available, but the majority of it was covered in flies so it lost its appeal. We hope that they are on the spring wine tour, as we look forward to visiting their new location next year.

Visited this place last month with a friend. I had a living social deal that had expired, and had previously experienced some pretty awful customer service at Aunt Kate’s Chocolates regarding trying to use the amount paid on expired deals, so I wasn’t sure whether the amount paid would be honored or not. Fortunately, Scatter Creek was a completely different story! The tastings are only once or twice a month, and they take place in what is basically a covered driveway in a subdivision, but the service couldn’t be friendlier, and the tasting list is huge! When I visited, there was a selection of crackers, cheese, and even teriyaki chicken offered free with tastings. The tasting list itself was two pages long. My friend and I didn’t even make it through half the list because we knew we would have had to stay all day to sober up. The wine leans toward sweet and fruity; the iced wines and port were much too sweet for me. The owner was very chatty and social, which I appreciated. She allowed me and my friend to use both our deals, which covered a tasting and bottle for each of us. I ended up using my deal for a Riesling, which was very good and priced at less than $ 20. I would definitely visit Scatter Creek again, and am even considering joining the club, which is limited to 100 members I believe. You can share a club membership between multiple people, and the amount of bottles for the price is fairly high. Another plus is that you can choose which bottles you want in the shipment! Seriously, not many wineries are as flexible with membership as this place.
