Great food at a decent price. Right next to Taco Bell — you can’t miss it. This place is small and kinda dumpy but don’t let that fool you. We were there on a Friday night at 7:30. The place was packed but our food came out almost immediately!!!

I’ve been coming here for years, this place used to be a great place to eat but NOT anymore. We ate there today and the food was terrible! The menudo had no hominy(maybe that’s how they make it here) and tasted bland like they didn’t add any spices. The rice and beans were the same way, bland and flavorless. When we got our bill we noticed we were overcharged for the enchilada plate and grabbed a menu to check(different than the one we ordered from) and yup, they charged too much. When we mentioned it to the cashier she adjusted the price to what the menu said but said that the price in the menu is the wrong price! Really?!? They can’t mark the«correct» price in their menus??? I now wonder how many menu items have the«wrong price». After paying our bill I decide to make a quick trip to the restroom, I happen to notice, NO toilet paper. When I came out I noticed an employee dragging a big bag of onions into the restaurant from the back patio area. I cringed when I saw him drag the mesh bag across the floor I front of the restrooms! That’s DISGUSTING!!! Obviously restroom floors aren’t sanitary and people walk in and out of them all day, right where he was dragging those onions! I will NOT be eating here again!

This place is the only place my wife and I eat shrimp cocktail. It’s just great. Very friendly and accommodating.

What a great place! We got great service, from the greeting to the server! I didnt have to ask for more salsa, they filled it up before i was empty! I will be bringing the rest of my family and will bring my parents when they visit.

Found this place after visiting the way-too-crazy Bucee’s down the street – the chips and salsa are addicting, the guac is fresh and the soft drinks are big. I ordered the uruano which was decent, the beef enchilada and tamale was the best part. The nachos were sort of bland and service was slow for ordering and bringing the check, but the staff was really nice. Good place to come if you don’t have any where to be, like maybe on a Friday night for some margaritas. The price is definitely right and the food is good, would probably give 3.5 stars if I could but was an overall above average experience.

I have eaten here several times when I visit my aunt and uncle who live in Terrell. Good Mexican food at a decent price. Last time I was here I ordered the chicken quesadillas and they were delicious. The servers are friendly and attentive. I believe the name El Nogalito means«Little Oak.»

Cheese enchiladas tasted like they were made with Kraft singles. The Margarita was really bad too. I have never sent a drink back, but I did send the Margarita back. The server took our order, dropped off our food, and we never saw her again. After thirty minutes of waiting to get the check, we had to go find the manager to get it for us. The Margarita we sent back was still on the check, and the manager and the server were very rude about taking it off. Bad service!

Generous portions. Food was served piping hot. Warm chips and salsa were a nice touch. Bathrooms left a little room for improvement. Great prices and value for your money!

I really love this place! I eat there all the time. The prices are very affordable and food is really good. BUT there are only 2 things that are disappointing. The chips always have an old grease taste. And they can make rice but not Caldo? Lol… They cook their soup down to almost nothing but broth and meat. Granted the soup has a good flavor but no veggies Ever. The rest of their food is hands down delicious! I do recommend this place to all my family and friends.

I CANNOTBELIEVETHISHAS4STARS. OHMYGOSH. THISISNOTMEXICANFOOD. THISISNOTTEXMEX. THISISNTANYTHING. I was SOOOO mislead here by the reviews. I’m incredibly disappointed by the food at this joke of a «TexMex» restaurant. I had something that had a chalupa, burrito, and an enchilada. The burrito was literally a flour tortilla rolled up with refried burnt beans and some kind of meat. And then the enchilada was so nasty with this fake sauce they put on it that made my stomach turn. The salad that came with it has cheese on it… WHY? Not even queso fresco, BUTLIKEAMERICANGRATEDCHEESE. WHATISTHAT. To top it off. I don’t know why everyone says this salsa is amazing… Guys. It’s literally Tostitos salsa. This is not homemade. You can always tell how the food will be based on the salsa. We should have known from the first chip. ANDNOHORCHATA??? COMON. –_____– No Aguas Frescas!!! Ugh wow. Just seriously upset because of such high expectations.

Portions were great. Tea was good too, and that’s a huge plus for me. I’m from San Antonio where we have great Tex– Mex so that’s all I can compare it too. I would say it was pretty good. Especially from some of the cities in Texas I’ve been too.

Good portions, great prices. Service was fine as well on this Friday night. My daughter had the Kid’s plate of corn dog bites & fries and my son and I split an order of fajitas with rice and beans $ 10.49. This was a lot of food and we were stuffed! For me, this is the most reasonably priced Tex Mex in town, and the food is goood! I’ve eaten at a couple of competitors here in Terrell, but from now on it’s El Nog for me! I’ll be back…

This is, hands down, the most affordable Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to! I cannot figure out how they charge so little and still stay in business but I can only assume it’s because they have such a huge customer base. With prices like these I could never justify complaining about bad service… usually it’s pretty good and once in a while it is not, but seriously, give these guys a break! The food is great but if you want a margarita just spend a couple more bucks and get top-shelf or you’ll be pissed!

Décor: 3⁄5 –Several booths and tables. Appears to be a family restaurant. Service: 2.5÷5 –bare minimal service Food: 3⁄5 –Los Panchitos($ 7.29) which came with a beef taco, chicken taco, chalupa and guac salad. There were lots of lettuce. –The beef taco had generous portions of meat. The chicken was interesting looking. It was slight pink. The chalupa was alright, just baked beans.

I had the burrito dinner for 6.99, it was super filling. My wife had flautas, they were oily and she did not like them. One of my sons had chicken enchiladas and he really enjoyed them. The service was really nice and prices aren’t too bad. I got out for $ 65 with six meals.

Margaritas are not good. Didn’t taste tequila at all. It tasted like bad watered down margarita mix. When we mentioned it the gentleman who had taken our drink orders he told us to order top shelf next time. I shouldn’t have to order top shelf to get a good tasting margarita. I give that service and beverage a one star possibly two. Our real server was pretty good. Two people in our party got fajitas and were very pleased. Another person got the chicken chalupas and loved them. I got the rellanos my go to favorite. I wouldn’t say it was awesome. But it was good. The pepper was kinda wimpy. I like to taste the pepper and get a little heat from it but all I really tasted was the beef and sauce. I give our actual server and the food a good four star rating.

Went here for lunch today(7−31−13) after reviewing Unilocal. We were not disappointed! They were cleaning the restaurant during the lunch rush. Floors, walls, kitchen [which I could see into]. I was impressed! The food was some of the best Tex-Mex I have had in Texas. The chips were crisp and not greasy at all. The salsa was spot on. the service was good. I had the lunch special Chicken Enchiladas. They were great! I could taste the ham bone in the re-fried beans, and the Mexican rice was divine. My Dad had the chicken taco, guacamole chalupa, and a enchilada. He said they were great! This is a very clean and great place to enjoy Tex-Mex. I just wished they were closer to Dallas where I live… I recommend to you to try.
