Ever since some fellow Unilocalers took a westbank field trip and reviewed this place, I been coming here alot and I am a true fan! It is everything the other guys and gals have said and a tad bit more. I remember this place from way back when I was a little fat kid eating next door at the long closed Pizza King. While playing Jungle Hunt and waiting for pizza, my Dad would tell us not to go anywhere and he would step into the Roaring 20’s for a quick sip. I always wondered what was behind the black glass door with the buzzer… fast forward to now. A 40 something still fat, I found out and I love it! Ok, dive bar… yes. But with class. Meaning it doesnt get too stinky or smoky in here. Majority red lights, check. There is a very entertaining karaōke night on Fridays. The regulars are of the older set, but they are well versed in new music to sing to. Gotta see it. All the bartenders I have met over the visits are extremely friendly. Make you feel warm and welcome. They even break the ice for you with the regulars. There is usually some finger sandwiches or meatballs and lil smokies to grab a snack on. They like it too if you come in with some food for all. Like that a lot! ;) I haven’t been able to figure out the hours, I’m not sure if its 24 or not. I think if its a slow slow night they shut down, but will never kick you out. I feel very privileged(and like i snuck in) when they buzz me in. Always look forward to who is inside and what’s going on. If there was a pizza place still next door, I would repeat the process with my daughters and go in for a quick sip
