Angelina’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria

Pretty good food and atmosphere but their servers are awful. They need to hire older more experienced servers

This is the second time I have been here, and this is going to be my last. This time being here really sealed the deal. I ordered Chicken Francaise with angel hair pasta & my date ordered Chicken Parmigiana with angel hair pasta. Normally you get a ton of pasta at other places here your lucky to get 4 forks full… This also happen to me on my first visit too. then when I just finished my meal the waitress immediately came right over butted into our conversation and asked us do you want to have any dessert or coffee. To be honest I don’t even think the last fork of food made it down my throat. I had to state to her we weren’t to sure we would need some time. She came back 4 times to check within 5 minutes. After the last time we told her how about we will look for you when we are ready… After 20 minutes went by we figured we would get & split the profiteroles these are good. However it would of been better if their homemade chocolate garnish was warm. Over all I just wasn’t impressed with the quality, quantity of food and nor the stella service we got…

Absolutely love this place WAY better than Alfrescas! food is amazing! Bartender & waitstaff are very friendly and attentive. Only downfall I noticed after not having been in for a meal in over two months is the portions are a lot smaller and for the price you pay its disappointing.

Went on a Friday night around 6:00pm for dinner with no reservations, but we only waited 10 mins. I liked the bar area and the décor, and everyone seemed friendly.
The problem is we waited over two hours for 3 meals, which I think was not necessary. The waitress did keep coming over to see if we needed anything else, which was nice, but we just wanted our dinner.
Living in Tewksbury and always hearing about Angelina’s figured we would give it a try, going for our first time, I was very disappointed. Not sure if I would take the family there again for dinner.

Just recently tried them 3x. The food is ok not great. Small portions high prices. Not something I crave. I love their pizza and desserts. I tried a few of their entrees they were ok, hit or miss. During my last visit nobody was in the restaurant it was a Monday. My Elissa dish came out over cooked, I couldn’t cut the chicken it was hard as a rock. The waitress did have the cook recook it, which tasted better. I was turned off. I have to say the pizza is great, but they will soon be getting rid of this. Everyone is friendly and nice. I will give it one more shot.

I got the veal and eggplant parm– so big I brought ½ home. Was very good.
My entire family enjoyed their meals.
But the service was horrid– We got our salads 55 minutes after sitting down…
Desserts were good, but not outstanding.
Please improve your service– I know everything is made to order, but the time between courses was beyond ridiculous.

We have been there a few times… sat at the bar. nice bartender.food is just not that great!!! Everyone goes down the the street to Alfresca’s…much better!!!

I have tried this place a few times. The service is horrible, the food is horrible and the owner is horrible. I definitely do not recommend this place~!

I am a sucker for fresh pasta and Angelina’s delivers. One of the best pasta dishes in the area is fresh gemelli with homemade sausage, broccoli rabe, white wine and garlic. I wish it weren’t as far away from me as it is.
The prices and portions are really the only things keeping it from a 5– star rating. They recently updated the inside and the service is always willing to help out. The wine list could use a bit more variety though.
Overall, if I’m craving fresh pasta, it’s Angelina’s or bust. Now open up a second location closer to Lowell.

Went on a saturday night. Had an amazing time. Very warm atmosphere.. There was a lounge singer who was fantastic. He sang all the Sinatra and Dean Martin classics and everyone was singing along. Felt like one big family. Food was good… Veal parm was a full plate, but breading fell off as you cut it. All the Haddock dishes were thoughtfully prepared and that is what most at my table had.. Most pasta is homemade so ask for which ones they have that night. Wished they had fried calamari. was craving it to be served with chopped hot cherry peppers.

Horrible experience last night. Took my friend for her birthday and although the wait for the table wasn’t long, the wait for the waitress to come by and take the order was longer than expected; noticed she was catering to larger tables. Then when my friend orders she tells us that item is out and so my friend had to rethink and then the waitress gets upset and doesn’t return for another 10 minutes. So finally we order and then it’s wait, wait and wait. Finally after about 35 minutes i ask what’s up and she tells me to just relax and listen to the music. Finally after another 10 minutes the food finally arrives and it’s mediocre at best. Was going to get dessert but by that time it was so late (and figured the dessert would be as mediocre) we said forget it. And that’s what we’ll do with this place: FORGET IT… Never coming back. The 1 star I had to give was too much.

I wish I could go here all the time! Always fantastic drink specials, and the food is made to order. Delicious always. Mussels are the biggest and best i’ve ever had.

This is not what I call an Italian restaurant. Staff seem completely uninterested… never have had eggplant rollatini with cream cheese stuffing– gross. Food was luke warm.
The guy singing in the lounge was great though. Won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend

Gets a little crowded. They don’t have much of a beer section but the food is always good.
I think they still have specials on weds night for discounts if you don’t use cell phones at your table

Had a late lunch with my wife here a few days back. Sat quickly, waitress was friendly. Italian so I didn’t expect them to have any great Pinot Noirs (they didnt). Ordered garlic bread with cheese. Great taste, but had a heavy anchovie flavour. Had veal parm. This was not great. No taste to the veal, sure it was a frozen pre breaded patty. The sauce was devoid of any real seasoning as well, I had to load up on pepper and salt and was still unable to finish it.
Service was great, but the food was bland and very boring.

I would always come here for great food, tonight never again. Wasn’t extremely busy, me and two of my friends just ordered a cheese pizza and a pasta dish, it took an hour to get our food! Confronted the «owner» who was extremely unprofessional and was saying the kitchen is small this and that and that it was busy, ok it was“busy” with a lot of tables open. I get its a small restaurant but to wait an hour for such small portions is just ridiculous. The way she acted about was just unprofessional and gave me an attitude. The bartender was great! He even apologized for the whole situation but not her at all. Being in the business for over 25 years as she’s says. Unacceptable. Sorry but as much as I loved going there, NEVER AGAIN!!!

Great atmosphere, great service, and food is prepared fresh and tastes delicious! We were there on a Saturday night and they had a solo singer. He was very good and sang lots of Sinatra songs. There was a few couples dancing too. The staff was very friendly and attentive. It is a little hard to find if you never been there before. Angelinas is a true hidden gem. Will definitely go back there again!

My fiancé and I came on Monday night. We were surprised by how many people there were at the restaurant. We were greeted by emotionless hostess which later turned out to be out waitress.
We started our meal with bread and oil which were unimpressive. We ordered pasta dish and pork chops with vinegar and hot peppers. Pasta exceeded our expectations, so did pork chops. However, pork chops were slightly overcooked, which i did not mind too much because the sauce they were cooked in was amazing!
We finished our meal with homemade cannoli. I liked it but the cream inside was lighter and softer than I am usually used to (comparing to cannolies from north end). It tasted great though.
Btw, our waitress turned out to be very nice at the end. She was attentive and personable.

Excellent pizzas, attentive wait staff– often slow, especially if you go on Thursday Family Nights. Drinks are over priced and weak.
I agree with Bryan W’s comment about their Hostess– on 2 separate occasions with 2 different hostess, my husband and I have been rudely treated. Both hostess were older Caucasian women. During our first visit, Hostess 1 ignored us while welcoming other customers, even ones who came in after we did. The second time, we ordered take-​out and this time Hostess 2 looked us up and down as if we were unfit to be there– or questioned if we could really afford their food! Mind you, my husband and I are both working professionals and on both occasions were well dressed. Regardless, we felt the demeanor to be quite racist (the restaurant caters to a predominately Caucasian clientele). If the hostess’ attitude are a reflection of the restaurants views, we prefer to take eat elsewhere.

I had high hopes for this place. Nice local Italian place, other reviews were good.
But it was dashed. They weren’t busy, but it took a while to get service. Even with the delay that a friend made by arriving later. They didn’t pick up the pace.
Took almost 25 min to get a 2^nd beer, could have walked up to the bar to get it myself.
The pasta? Overdone. The salad? crisp, but the croutons killed it.
The price? Too much for what was offered. I won’t be back.
