This house is absolutely beautiful. It is an amazingly well kept part of history, and it is full of interesting stories. We actually went on a Monday when the house was closed, but we were only in town for Sunday and Monday. Luckily for us, one of the curators of the home was leaving a meeting and saw us. She was so kind and gave us a tour. I couldn’t believe how amazing the house was. The furniture, the art work, the clothes, everything thing is so beautiful and in such wonderful condition. When you walk through the house, it makes you feel as if you’ve stepped back in time. Everyone needs to go on a tour here, it is definitely a must see in Texarkana. I know that it is somewhere we will make the time to see again and again.

Well preserved home from the late 19th century. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the home and very friendly. The home is only open by appointment during the week and is open for tours at certain times on Saturday. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in town and looking for something educational to do.

Delightful, well preserved house with an interesting architecture and an interesting past. This museum is usually only open to the public on the weekend but I was able to take a tour mid-week with prior arrangement. The curator was a pleasure and well informed. My 10 year old grandson also enjoyed the tour. I would recommend this tour to any individual or family that enjoys antique homes.
