Best street tacos! I’m from Dallas and have been to multiple location of street tacos and this is seriously comparable or the best! I crave this place and want it every time we come in town to see the in laws :)

CINCODESTARSO, CISCO!!! First of all the rice. It could have been the meal. Moist, succulent almost… and the flavor. Terrific. I had the sampler. I don’t remember what it was except that it was so good that I want to make a checklist and go through everything on the menu. Second Visit. Incredible enchiladas and sopas. Most unique Mexican food anywhere. Best hot sauce I ever had, heat AND flavor.

I’m writing this six months later after I drove through Texarkana on my way to Louisville, but I can’t stop thinking about their chicken tinga. I looked up this place on Unilocal knowing we were going to stop in Texarkana for food and was looking for Mexican fare with good reviews. This place did not disappoint. It was crowded when we got there, and we noticed from Unilocal it had limited hours. Surely, this was a sign that we went to a good place. I got the sopes with chicken on top, and these were the best sopes I’ve ever had and topped with the best chicken tinga. I’m looking for something that compares back at home in Louisville, and while I’ve found something that harkens back to the meal I had at Tacos Mi Pueblo, nothing has come close. Thank you for one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had!

These were some really good tacos! They weren’t greasy at all! The salsa roja was a kicker.

Cannot express how fantastic this place was! I wanted the Cactus tacos but they were sold out so, although I was dissapointed, I got the pastor tacos. First thing I pulled out looked like a smushy potato– but to my delight, it was a large pineapple piece. I know pastor is supposed to contain it, but I have never actually found a piece of it before. It s delicious. I got a half an avocado on the side to out on my tacos and they gave me a ton of it for only a dollar. I also got a side of rice, which was delicious and actually had a lot of flavor, unlike most Mexican rice. The table top sauces were great. The red one was smoky and a little bitter. The green one was good enough to bathe in. We were traveling from Hot Speings back to FW and decided to stop here on the way, due to the Unilocal reviews. This is the place that will be our stop, both coming and going, from now on. I am leaving filled, happy, and already wishing I could eat this again tomorrow.

Authentic Mexican food at great price. Only open Saturday and Sunday, but an awesome place to eat with the family. The food is extremely cheap and tastes like abuela’s food. Seating is tight sometimes especially around lunch, but the wait is not all that bad. You will be happy you you gave this place a try.

WOW. What a great little Mexican meal. Definitely not Tex Mex, as mentioned before. The cheese in the cheese enchiladas wasn’t your cheap Valveeta, melted cheese. It was REAL cheese, and it was delicious. The other enchiladas were also delicious, the chicken being my favorite. Rice was perfect. Beans were very good. Would easily be 5 stars but the wait was loooong. That being said, it’s because it’s legit. You could tell it was made to order, not bulk made cheap crap that’s so common with Tex Mex. This was REAL. So call it 4.5÷5 stars. We simply weren’t expecting the wait so it seemed brutally long. But if you go in with the right expectation… Also, more of an FYI than a complaint, no chips and salsa at tables. This is a nice little hole in the wall — very basic, very small, very low overhead. Behind the counter where you order, you see them making all the food. Pretty cool.

The best food in Texarkana regardless of price. The cheek tacos, menudo, and many other items are great. The prices are incredibly low.

Traveled to Texarkana and seen the comments on Unilocal about this place so have it a shot with the family and a friend. Walked in around 10:00 am and place was empty! I was a little nervous but noticed they don’t serve eggs or breakfast. We ordered chicken tacos, rice and beans and I ordered the menudo. The wife ordered the tamale. My daughters did not care to much for the chicken as it was not seasoned to well. The rice and beans were very good. My wife paid them the ultimate compliment on their tamales she said they were just like my moms!!! I should have ordered a dozen and brought them home! If we are ever in Texarkana we will give this place another shot. Don’t expect a fancy dining experience I felt like I was at a relatives house that made me pay after eating at their house!

If you want true authentic Mexican food this is the place to go. We have ordered the Sopas and the Sampler. They have the bottled sodas to drink and some great ice-cream bars. I could eat all my weekend meals there.

Great home made Mexican food! Love their pork and pineapple tacos, tostadas, and salsa verde! Cheap too! One of my favorite hole in the wall places! Open only on sat and sun.

Wonderful food. Everything was homemade and fresh. Best enchiladas I’ve ever had. Rice was fantastic and very moist(not dried out from sitting around all day like most restaurants). Would definitely eat here again. Thanks a bunch for the delicious food!

I went there for the first time last weekend and it blew my mind. Asides from the fact that I think it’s a really smart business model to be open only for limited hours and make us want it all the more, the way they do drinks I think is pretty insanely genius. And probably easier for them. They just need to supply the glass bottles which are so beautiful. Not really but yes they are. Jumping way ahead of myself. I was recommended to check out Tacos MI Pueblo pretty much as soon as I got into town. So it was on my list and I finally was able to go last weekend and I can’t believe I missed it this weekend. It’s really going to become one of those things that I try to go to every weekend. To be honest, my experience with Mexican food is limited. Talk to me about Thai food, but that’s a different story and a different review. But I really enjoyed my sampler of the pork with spices and pineapple, with a side of half an avocado. It was delicious and I cannot wait to go back and try all the other things on the menu. Most of which I don’t really know what it is. I went on Sunday at 12:15 or so and when we got there there were 2 parties of 2 ahead of us. By the time we got to the front of the line, there were at least 15 people behind us, and lining up outside the door. When you order drinks, unless you are eating on location, there is no need to grab a cup and just go to the fridge on the far left and grab a drink. I think there may be a differentiating size because the sizes on the top shelf and bottom shelf are different. But mind you, these are drinks made with real sugar so they really kick a punch! Everything we had was uberly delicious and while small maybe 4 inch soft taco shells, the 3 we each had was super filling. The side of rice was also delicious. Spoonful of this, spoonful of that. The register lady was really nice and didn’t make me feel like I had no idea what I was talking about but I think it would be wise to know what you want before you get to the counter as there is no doubt gonna be line behind you.

I read the reviews here and knew the food was going to be good when we walked in and saw that all off the tables were packed. People eat quickly so a table opened up soon after we ordered. Ordered the sopes platter based on the recommendations here. 3 slopes for about $ 7. I really don’t know what to say. They were truly incredible. A sope is a fresh homemade thick corn tortilla with a lip around the edge that is filed with refried beans and your choice of meat. It is then topped with lettuce, a mild white cheese, sour cream and a slice of avocado. The corn tortillas are so delicious here. If you have never had homemade corn tortillas made in-house then you owe it to yourself to stop here and try them. Don’t blame me if you come to believe that every other corn tortilla in the universe is inferior by comparison. You might even go home and begin making your own because you will be spoiled for life. Try the pork sopes. The pork is moist and flavorful. Ask for some of the green salsa that they have behind the counter to go with your sopes. Grab a soda bottle from the case and enjoy your sopes. We had three platters of food and 3 soda bottles(tamarind, orange and sprite) for $ 28 total. A very good deal and all four of us were full(2 adults, 2 kids). Also wanted to note that the Mexican rice is amazing. Fluffy, flavorful and very moist. We will definitely return. Until then, I’ll be dreaming of fresh fried maiz and the sweet ladies that make them. NOTE: They are only open on the weekends.

We tried Mi Pueblo based on reviews. We were very skeptical upon arrival, especially my little people. The outside isn’t very impressive. But We are ALL so glad we stopped! The food is incredible! We had a sample platter, sopes(to die for), and chicken tamales bc they were out of beef. Everything was amazing!!! Even our little people loved their tacos! The tacos are small but sooo filling. We can hardly wait to pass through Texarkana again so we can stop. The BEST Mexican food. And it takes a lot to impress us. Do not be afraid to go out of your way for such good food is rare to be found! Enjoy!

Drove through town recently and found this little gem on Unilocal. The sopes were very good. I recommend the carnitas and the beef cheek. This is solid mexican street-style food. Prices are quite reasonable. Atmosphere is typical of other Mexican taquerias one might find in most cities(basically non-existent unless you consider a tv to be decoration), but the service was friendly and the food above average.

Try the Al Pastor and Beef w/chorizo. Love the tacos, but you’ve gotta get the sopes. They’re my favorite for sure. Ask for the spicy green salsa-the stuff on the table is good, but the salsa in the kitchen is delicious! Top it off with a bottle of Coke. My only wish was that they were open on weekdays!

Drove through little Texarkana craving tacos and were happy we found this place! Arrived around noon to a long line and nearly all seats filled. By the time our food came we were able to snag a table! Service was great and kept our waters filled. I got two tacos which left me a little hungry. I would recommend the combo plate that comes with a taco, gordita, something else, and YUMMY Mexican rice. Would definitely come back if – by god’s grace — we end up randomly in Texarkana again!

The best tacos in town. Authentic Mexican food. No tex mex here. I’d highly recommend Tacos Mi Pueblo but they are only one on Saturday and Sunday.
