Texas Travel Information Center

Great little unexpected find! A great place to stop and use a nice, clean restroom. Lots of easy parking. Easy on-​off access to the interstate.
Lots of green areas for walking pets, should you need to. They also have snack machines and drink machines with a good variety.
But the real deal here is inside the travel center building. Lots of pamphlets and information to be had here! They consistently have plenty of staff on hand to answer any and all Texas questions you may have. They also have pamphlet-​world, which is divided by region of Texas. LOTS of travel information, from shows to shopping to nature to adventure. if it’s in Texas, they have a pamphlet for it.
As for a bag — they have great little bags for you to store all those pamphlets in!

More than just a normal rest-​stop or welcome center. This is pamphlet-​palooza! Get info on loads of Texas related travel destinations from around the state. I grabbed so much the lady there gave me a bag to hold all my goodies.

Not bad. Been to a few other states «Travel/​Welcome Centers» and Texas definitely has a good one in Texarkana. Arkansas’s is better… but that’s only because of the design of their building.
Lots of parking, easy access restrooms which didn’t smell.
Definitely a good place to stop for info and or a quick nap to keep safe on the road.
