Had a BLT with a chicken breast on a toasted bun. It must have been 6″ tall. I had to mash it flat. Homemade slaw done right with a little bit of sweet dressing and pinto beans. I will be back.

Love the atmosphere and service. Always helpful and friendly. I eat breakfast and lunch at the café and bought a few Christmas gifts for friends and family. Even bought my Christmas outfit in their boutique. Very unique place to visit!

Great food! Friendly staff. Definitely a hidden gem! Don’ be deterred by the feed store next door. If you are an animal lover or have kids check out the chickens, goats and huge turkey out back!

Ok, if it was just about the food I would probably give them 4 stars but eating in a restaurant is also about atmosphere and service. Really good food, great atmosphere, great service combined with super friendly folks earn it a solid five stars. Only 2 miles off I-​49. Well worth the trip.

Read the reviews & decided to try it since everyone gave it 5 stars. It definitely lived up to its rating & then some! The staff was so incredibly gracious & sweet (which we had read) and then we ate (we had cheeseburger, BBQ sandwich, fries & homemade blueberry pie) — and the food was as good as the service! Don’t miss this opportunity if you’re passing through this area. Wished we lived closer because this place is so neat (& we did pet the turkey)

Where do I start!!! Everything from hospitality to mouth watering cheeseburgers and shopping, my husband and I weren’t necessarily «passing through» but couldn’t help stop by when we seen the reviews on Unilocal!Needless to say, I’ll remember this little pot o’ gold for years to come! Perfect! Stopped on the way back to Texas and it was the perfect combination of delicious and rustic! Super kind service and we even left with some local honey! Get the chick burger and go pet the turkey!

Fantastic! Burger and fries are the real deal. No frozen patties. All fresh. The people are so friendly and welcoming. It’s a different setting with a feed store and boutique next door. Just a fun place!

Easily five stars. You first notice friendly, intelligent and dedicated staff. You next notice that your hamburger looks like those in pictures other restaurants put in their advertising. We thought our BBQ burgers were the best of that kind we have ever had. The fries were incredible and dusted with spiced sugar. Who would have thought?
This place is fun… and a keeper. We will be sampling their menu often.

Yep. That’s what I’m talkin’ about! Unique setting, very friendly staff, good food. A bit off the beaten path but totally worth it! This is what Unilocal is great for– discovering places you’d never know about otherwise. Stopped here just traveling through. Had the chuckwagon burrito & strawberry fields salad. YUM.

Great food is the best way to start describing this place, but that leaves out a lot. First the have a giant friggin turkey wandering the grounds who apparently likes his head scratched. Next, there are goats. Yep — goats. Top that off with chickens, pups, and kittens and my daughter was in heaven on our trip from Austin to Missouri. The seating area is great — feels like a picnic on a patio. The veggie burgers are really good (so my wife tells me) and I can say the hamburger was awesome.
You three chicks rock! …And now I want a pet turkey.

I’m late posting this review, but my sister and I ate here in May this year and it was awesome! Big, juicy, fresh hamburgers and delicious, creamy potato salad, and refreshing sweet tea. It was hard to decide because they also have chicken salad on the menu. All served with a smile. It’s an actual Feed and Seed store with this café attached. And they have a live, pet turkey named Trey wandering around the store. Oh, also, don’t be fooled by the GPS. Just drive on down the road and you’ll find it.

We were driving home to Austin from hot springs and found this on Unilocal.When you drive up all you see is a feed store and food truck that says café. my husband and middle son said we don’t want to eat here. My other two kids and I overruled them and let me just say we were all so glad we did. Place has a restaurant seating area that is darling on back side. Food was extremely fresh, made to order and the buns they use made the burgers and bbq sandwiches. The tuna salad was awesome. Service was great. I would definitely recommend going a little out of the way to eat here. We all commented that a stop along the highway would have taken same amount of time as driving here And wouldn’t have been near as good.

We were on our way back to Dallas from a weekend trip and based on these reviews drove a couple of miles out of our way to check this place out.
I can’t do it justice – you have to go!
First of all, the food is amazing. Great chicken salad and shaved ice. But what’s really outstanding are the owners, employees and general vibe. They had this huge turkey walking around and one of the owners told me she traded a bag of feed for him. It was weird and random in a great way.
Everyone was friendly, upbeat, and kind of quirky. Even the kid they had working there was exceptionally open and smiley, and he was about 14 which is when kids are usually much more rude.
They have chickens, goats and a wonderful, funky back area with a vegetable garden. The whole place feels like another world, a better one.
I hope they continue to thrive forever.
