I’ve seen many, many Donald’s Donuts around this great nation of Texas; have yet to be disappointed by any of them. I know its not a donut shop chain and that they’re all not affiliated with one another, but trusting a Donald’s Donuts with your breakfast needs is like counting on the marines to kickass, not only will the mission objectives be completed flawlessly and right on schedule but also accomplished before the civilian population wakes to start they’re day. This location has been the best one I’ve encountered so far. I left their nifty little location having enjoyed excellent service; stellar kolaches; and a donut that made me stop, close my eyes, take a deep breathe, and savor the moment as if time stood still. And I wasn’t even gonna stop and give it a chance because everyone was only talking about the tacos. Now I can’t wait to go back for some breakfast tacos; if they’re anywhere near the quality of the other grub, then I’m gonna have to seek professional help for the food addiction that will gladly develop.

Very good breakfast tacos — a real deal at $ 2.99 for the large. Friendly staff; very clean. I will go again. John S

My son, step sons and I go here about 3 to 4 mornings out of the week for breakfast. They really do have THEBEST breakfast tacos. I always order the bacon, egg, potato and cheese in large for myself and small for the kids. They are only about $ 2.50 to $ 3.00 each. I LOVE how it has the drive threw. The inside is clean and updated unlike most of the other donut shops around. Staff is VERY nice and if we show up later when they are about to close they always give me free donuts for the kids, but that may be because they know us now by name. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They have my business for as long as I live in Texas City.

I am a die hard Shipley’s Donut fan. Born and raised in Texas, I instinctively pass other establishments up. Krispy Kreme was never a hit in my household. The one place where Shipley’s falls short is they do not serve breakfast tacos or anything with eggs. I tried this place out when it first opened and it was perfect for breakfast tacos — much better than anything you get with fast food. Large, well made tacos wrapped in aluminum foil and served with a house made salsa that includes fresh cilantro. They also put a lot of quality into the donuts, it is a superior product. Service is fast and friendly, and they always have a lot of grab and go items ready. Overall, this place is a strong contender for my families breakfast spending, especially when time is limited. There are three tables inside in case you want to sit down. A community service /vendor board with local business cards is a nice touch for a neighborhood establishment.
