The Rio At Mainland Center

The Rio is only a year old, so the facility is still in good repair. They have both private and semi-​private rooms. Each room has its own climate control system. Only the private rooms in the Skilled Nursing Rehab side have their own full bathroom. The long term nursing facility side only has a toilet and sink.
Things to note: The ice/​water dispenser in one of the communal dining areas has black slime growing on the water nozzel and running down the rear splash guard. The tray below the dispenser is filthy and has slime in it. The coffee dispenser has had an «out of service» note on it for a while.
I also observed a staff member telling a resident to «shut the f*** up». He had been sitting out on the hallway calling for someone to help him go back to his room, and a staff member came storming out of another room and told him to «shut the f*** up».
The only saving grace is this place is new… but aside from that I haven’t been impressed.
