Solid pub with a good local draft list. Bar is small but the barkeep was great. Reuben sandwich is solid. And quite large. Shoestring potatoes excellent, crispy. Big, healthy salads. One of the other patrons took the TV remote control and started changing channels while we were watching a show. Rude. There were only a few people at the bar — but he didn’t ask.

My coworker suggested this place and I’m glad she did. The customer service is excellent, the food and drinks are great. Try the Prohabition or the Wasco Floosy. They have a full bar and specialty drinks. If you’re into growlers, they have several for sale and in different sizes. They even have a keg accessory kit to keep your beer fresher. Their lunch menu is large, with an excellent selection of wraps, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. If you’re traveling with your furry friends, they are pet friendly and have a keg shaped water bowl for them out on the patio.

My husband had big dreams about this place. They were quickly squashed. We arrived at about 1pm on a Saturday, and there was a couple leaving an outdoor table so we grabbed their spot with visions of cold beer, good food and fresh air. After sitting at the dirty table for 10 minutes with no greeting, I got up and grabbed a menu. After another 15 minutes of sitting there still with no greeting, I asked my husband to go order our drinks at the bar. He was inside for 10 minutes and came back with his beer but not my root beer float. He said they said it’d «take a few minutes to make the float.» A few minutes later, the bartender came out with the root beer(in a bottle!) and a cup of ice cream. Oh, you mean that I get to make my own after all that time? How nice! Just as my float was being poured from my hand, one of the servers that had been serving the outdoor tables came to ask if we’d been helped. Ummmm, no. We ordered food, and it came out about 25 minutes later(a soft pretzel and chicken strip meal). I think the food is frozen/fried variety — it was alright. Based on the décor in this awesome old building, I wanted to love this place. But the crap service and okay food mean they didn’t impress me. I’d also like to encourage some staff training for servers on how to multi-task. We saw the outdoor servers visit the same tables multiple tables, but it took me 25 minutes to get even a hello and the same was true of the table next to me. I had to get my own drinks and barely had food service. In that first 25 minutes, three tables of people sat and left in that time, as they were annoyed by no service.

I’ve never had a meal here I didn’t like. Staff are efficient, friendly, and attentive. Reasonably priced.

We sampled a variety of entres. The stir fry was flavorful & nicely prepared. The hamburgers were freshly prepared & juicy. The tomato chicken soup was disappointingly average and better named chicken rice rather than tomato. Excellent selection of beer. The patio was pleasant tho a bit noisy with the traffic. Loved the display of beer tap handles inside. The service was thoughtful and attentive.

Cold beers aplenty while listening to cool tunes on the dog-friendly patio/deck, which is great for people watching too. Kids loved the game room and husband loved sampling so many different regional beers.

Not pleased with the Tasteless décor of multiple 13 loop hangmans noose’s. I understand the history of the building but get real. Take that s#!t down!

The beer selection was awesome– best part about this place. The food was so-so. Had the salmon sandwich with a salad and both were a little bland. Friend had the cajun chicken sandwhich on a pretzel bun and said it was pretty good. Would go back but would prefer happy hour, not dinner.

Every time I go there I am reminded why I hate it. The staff ignore customers unless they know them. It took an hour just to order1beer and some food. It took another 30minutes to get my food. I ordered a second drink which never showed up. Yet when the bill came they changed me for 3 drinks. I was very upset.

I’m a French dip fan, and they certainly did right by me. The service is really friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere of this historic property makes it extra interesting. if not a ‘lil spooky as a former courthouse and the site of a last public hanging in 1905. Over 30 craft beers on tap and the Halloween décor just may include a real ghost. Take an I-84 detour!

We stopped in for a beer and appetizer on a warm day and were glad we could bring our dog onto the patio! They even have a special doggy door for your buddy to walk through! The servers were very friendly and gave us awesome service. They asked if our dog could gave a treat, and when I said she has food alergies, the waitress brought carrots! We tried the pulled pork nachos and the shoestring fries with cheese! Good snacks(or was it a meal??), and we really appreciated the friendly servers.

Service was super unfriendly. When the food came out our salad had clearly been sitting out for a a while because the cheese was dried out. Burgers were so-so. $ 20 for a well drink and it tasted so bad that we didn’t even drink that. We will NOT be returning here again.

A group of us girls went to Clock Tower to discuss some details of my sister’s wedding. We were a smallish group that just wanted lunch and a few drinks. We did have my toddler in tow, so we needed a bigger table that was a normal height to seat the highchair. The only area that didn’t have bistro height tables for 6+ was the back room, which was closed. We asked a server if it was possible to sit back there and we got a scoff, eye roll, and a «yeah, I guess so.» If it was a problem, we could have figured something out. She finished seating us and tossed some menus on the table and that was the last we saw of her. We waited a half an hour. No one came to take a drink order, bring water, nothing. We complained to the Facebook page to keep it between us and the owners and not to bring down their reviews. We’ve had nothing but good experiences in the past so we hoped we could shead some light on the issue(which happens to be an ongoing one) but all we got was an insincere apology. After hearing of another friend’s experience tonight, I decided to go ahead and make my Unilocal review. Clock Tower, pull yourselves together… I really want to frequent your business but your crappy service is keeping me away.

Building in historic district with cool curb appeal for a brew pub. Never been here. Only driven by. Now we are going in for a look. So far really like what’s on tap — 28 killer brew brow beaters best of Oregon. Plenty of pub grub to fill the hungry tub too. Although happy hour is 2PM to 6PM every day, we are in between meals and not eating. $ 4 pints/hap hr! So this review is solely based on the brew pub appeal and extensive tap list. Chow! I will come back for chow!

We had a really nice time sitting out on the deck on the warm spring night. I noticed a lot of the other reviews mentioned poor service, but since the majority of the customers were on the deck, I think we were good to go. We had the nachos with pulled pork and some clam chowder and two samplers of the beer… The food was delicious, pulled pork was crispy and tender. a fave combination of mine, and the clam chowder was amazing with some hints of sage in it. Hands down we LOVED the pineapple cider and the grapefruit ale called Raddler! Amazing summer beverages and we are going back to fill a couple growlers on our way home! We would visit again for sure!

Nice little place in The Dalles. Seated ourselves outside with friends. Ordered a few chocolate stouts for happy hour. Service was fast. Beer was really good. Eventually ordered some appetizers. Hummus plate with pita. It was ok. Nothing to call home about. Ordered the happy hour mini burger for $ 5.00. Nice little cheeseburger with steak fries. Tasted hot and fresh. My friend ordered the lettuce wraps. Not so thrilling. 2 pieces of lettuce with a few add ons. Not even worth the happy hour price. Live music started around 8pm. Over all we had a good time.

Last night made the THIRD time we requested a burger on a pretzel bun only to have it served on something different. THREETIMES! We even joked about how weird it would be if they brought the burger out on a regular bun. We didn’t think it would actually happen again. Sigh. So, aside from that I do think this place is getting better. The server was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was good. The beer sampler tray is pretty much the best around(way better than Rogue’s). I have moved from 2 stars to 3. They aren’t perfect(pretzel bun!) but they are better then they were last summer. Speaking of summer… I’m looking forward to weather warm enough to sit on the patio. They have the best outside seating in town.
